I'm fairly bad at sculpting. I've only done that few times at school what, ten years back? I'm really not very interested in sculpting. BUT! We had a "Carnival" theme in our meet yesterday and me and my friend were making some things for prizes. I decided to try my wobbling hand on sculpting masks. I didn't actually sculp them that much, but it was actually much fun! All masks are made from basic paper clay (I think it is sort of paper clay, it had fibers in it), painted with acrylic paints and gloss varnish, added some glitter glue and little jewels. It was so much fun! I glued some thin felt at the back with leather or satin ribbons. Leather ribbons are great, they have better friction (?) than satin which is slippery. Here are the results. ^^ Four masks are missing since I gave three as prizes and one was sold. Time for The Masquerade! ;D
