Two arrivals on the same day / Harucasting Modeun and Minifee Tika

I had wanted Harucasting Modeun since there was his photos in Haru's Instagram and of course - Eiko really needs a friend (they always do!! :D). I ordered Modeun in February pre-order and received him two days ago. Haru had a bit of shipping trouble as the heat was terrible and some of his dolls had hands and feet broken in transit due heat. He sent me email when it was time to pay the shipping fee and I sent him a message back, that I was not at home so it would be better to wait until middle August until ship my doll out and so he did! It took few weeks to arrive but as a coincidence happened, Fairyland Minifee Tika was also available to pick up. Actually day before, but I wasn't able to pick him up until Tuesday as I'm working in evening shift this week. So, Modeun came to my door on Tuesday 7th in the morning and afternoon on the way to work I picked up Tika. I'll write a bit more of Tika after the Modeun's box opening photos. These are phone photos again, so bear with me. ^^;

And there's the box!

I took a video from opening the box, but I don't upload it here. Haru had included bisquits and chips as well as some coffeee... eeee things. :D

So exiting!!!

The COA.

There he is! I really like Haru's simple boxes with the foam cut out.

Second pair of hands, I find it is grea, they are so pretty!

I'm so happy I decided to order him with face up. This face up is made by amazing Mayakdolls. The good thing with having a doll with face up is not needing to stress about how long it will take the head to reach the artist and how long they will have it until it's back in your hands. I love to comission a custom artist, but I feel like it's great to have a face up ready. Mayakdolls did amazing job!

I chose him eyes, they are 12mm Soulinabox eyes with small iris. I might change the eyes, not really sure about these yet. He is so pretty! The wig is from Alice's Collections and it is a tad bit too big. He might need a silicon cap to keep it in place but I haven't found the ones I have yet.

Next, only few photos of Fairyland Minifee Tika's arrival, few words about him first.

I bought him from the same person whom I bought Robin's body from. It was a spur of a moment thing basicly, I saw she had Tika for sale and I instantly sent a message that I want to buy him. Shipping time was a week last time and now... 15 days, which was really strange, maybe there's just so much parcels in the post center where all the mail from outside country comes to or something. ANyway! When I went to pick him up I had this feeling that I might need a knife of sort ... so I took a swiss army knife with me. This came handy, as the box was so big it didn't fit in the big bag I had with me. I had to take it apart in the parking lot. There was some sweet goodies as well as some toy things with the doll box and it was truly very well packed. I put the newspaper stuffing in the trashcan and flattened the shipping box next to the trashcan as I just could't fit it in there. And then, I went to work. XD There's usually nobody in the break room when I go there before work but alas it was packed with gang (there was five people in) so I didn't want to open it there. I went to the loo, as that was the only choise. I don't usually want to show my dolls to strangers or workmates I don't know. Only few photos of Tika for now.

The Fairyland box next to sink. LMAO. Well, it was the only place I could check out the doll so.. No choise. XD

The bubblewraps and COA, he was made in 2018, never had a face up, propably have always been in his box. He smells so fresh and is in new condition for sure.

Headcap and magnets are in the loose. I don't really mind as I can make a wig for him and hopefully that will keep the cap in place.

Sleeping face is so pretty.

If you have made it this far, thank you so much! I've bought more dolls this year than in recent years all together but I've also sold quite a bunch. The numbers are basicly around the same still, as I've just sold some and bought some. I'm trying to do some face ups and stuff, I managed to make a wig for Henry and I'm so happy as it came out really nice. I'll try to find a space to get few photos from him too. Hope that you're doing great and healthy.

  2. Oh he is so handsome!! I find male dolls can be a little feminine, but he's quite the exception. I also love his sweater, did you make it?
I need to see the other doll with a face up before I can comment on him.
    Big hugs,
    X

    1. Hi Xanadu, thank you! Some of my boys definitely are more or less feminine and I think it is just thing to get used to in a way, as not many BJD boys are not very masculine, especially slim boys like him. ^__^ Gosh I wish I could knit this beautifully! Sweater is made by beautifulholy in Instagram, I've bought a lot of knitted items form her and her lovely daughter Jun1pa.
I really can't say much about Tika either yet. :D He definitely needs a face up! Hugs hugs <3 ^-^ <3

    1. Thank you so much Niina, I'm so happy to have them even tough I've been busy and quite tired from work. I try to do doll stuff on weekends and hopefully both boys will eventually get more character when I get to know them better. ^__^ I love those sweaters, super happy to buy from amazing artists.
