A Doll A Week 2024 / Week 8 Oili

Oili is this weeks star. She is so cute! I feel like she likes flowers and well, nature is her thing. I bought her from my friend years ago. Oili is sweet and kind girl. I made her some folder things and and a notebook, she can start a herbarium next summer (I'll help her of course so we can do that together ^-^ <3 ). 

The apron wasn't finished but I sew the hem and and pockets in it today. Oili has been one of my favourite dolls for long. It is always so such fun to play with her.

A Doll A Week 2024 / Week 5 Hina and Hortensia

I've made quite a lot of these silly stories in my Instagram account. The beginning was rather random and fun spur of a moment kind of thing with Hina (Minifee Sarang14) and Jay (Minifee Yder Elf). And then it just went on from there. In this story Hina is with Hortensia (Minifee Juri13).

I've been in stuck for long time as I'm quite bothered about the fact that my old workmates and friends read my Instagram and as they're not doll people, I would prefer them not to be able to read it. I was way too open with the hobby. I regret it now. I would prefer to be anonymous person, they wouldn't had followed me if I was a random person with doll hobby. Anyway... regrets owning dolls and being in this hobby? Never. My dolls bring me so much joy. So a little story.

Japanese style garden with Irma

Irma is totally a Autumn woman, I want to say witch since she has a witchy wibe on her and I like it!

I gathered my courage yesterday to go and photograph her at the Japanese style garden. I was lucky as the leaves were amazing colour and mosses on the higher part were amazing. Too bad I slipped down under a small log bridge and damn it was difficult to climb up. There used to be water under that bridge so why didn't I think it would be slimy. I slipped straight to my left leg and hands got dirty as well. Luckily the bridge was only about my waist high and Irma and DSLR were okay. I might have caught a bit of a cold while staying out so long without a hat. But at least some of the photos came out nice.

Two arrivals on the same day / Harucasting Modeun and Minifee Tika

I had wanted Harucasting Modeun since there was his photos in Haru's Instagram and of course - Eiko really needs a friend (they always do!! :D). I ordered Modeun in February pre-order and received him two days ago. Haru had a bit of shipping trouble as the heat was terrible and some of his dolls had hands and feet broken in transit due heat. He sent me email when it was time to pay the shipping fee and I sent him a message back, that I was not at home so it would be better to wait until middle August until ship my doll out and so he did! It took few weeks to arrive but as a coincidence happened, Fairyland Minifee Tika was also available to pick up. Actually day before, but I wasn't able to pick him up until Tuesday as I'm working in evening shift this week. So, Modeun came to my door on Tuesday 7th in the morning and afternoon on the way to work I picked up Tika. I'll write a bit more of Tika after the Modeun's box opening photos. These are phone photos again, so bear with me. ^^;

Robin's Autumn

Oh wow, long time no see. Finally it's gonna be last week of my summer holiday next week and during my holiday I managed to photograph my relatively new boy, Robin. 

He is Fairyland Minifee Seorin Sleeping head which I managed to buy from DOA a while back, I also had been watching his sales post many times before I decided that buying him an older body will not be an issue as new body would have really been totally wrong colour. I'm happy he was still available when I sent in my message. I couldn't believe how lucky I was since I did find him a body soon, it was offered to me in Instagram and from Europe! Wow! How great was that? Anyway, I'm getting used to him having his eyes closed and finding him a character etc.

There has been a change in my group, I hope I'm now and in the future more happy with my dolls and play with them more often. Butterfly season was and went, mostly, so there should be at least some time for me to play. If you have any wishes about what you want to see (I doubt it as my blog has been so quiet very long time... ^^; ) please leave me a comment. Now, let me introduce Robin, he likes nature, his favourite animal is fox and he really likes apples.

Gabriella - Fairyland Minifee Marcia Dreaming 18/24

My friend Uninu had put Marcia Dreaming head for sale in local forum and man I sent her a message so fast. I've always liked Marcia, especially the dreaming head a lot. And in tan, what a great find. I didn't really plan to have her, but I took the chance when I got it. The name Gabriella was just a result of some googling in the Behind the Names, naming dolls is always difficult. Naming them before they come home is the usual procedure but sometimes it just goes another way around. I asked Sarqq to make her face up and what a fabulous job they did! The face up is amazing smoky eye with red lips. I bought an actual full doll from the local forum again just to have a body for this girl. It was a Fairyland Fairyline body which I've not had before as I don't feel the separate torso and leg joints are making any good for the posing. Standing photos weren't working becouse she's so slinky.

Gabriella, her name is not yet sticking, I like the name but I need to do more thinking. She might want to change it later. I don't know her well enough yet and that shows in the photos. I love the last photos of her, I think they really show her personality but  she needs to be played a lot more until I'm satisfied with the idea. The wig is from Monique Gold Collection, eyes Alice's Collections random chinese eyes 12mm with small iris, face up by Sarqq, clothes and socks by me and shoes by Summomo. Many things can change still as she's a work in progress. Please say hello to Gabriella.

Oili - Fairyland Minifee Ruth 15/24

I bought Minifee Ruth originally becouse I wanted the body for my Soo. I'm so glad I found another Minifee Beautiful Line body for Lulu as Ruth makes really cute girl. Oili [owly] is somewhat like Moomin charachter like, this was said by the artist who made the fantastic face up for this girl. I have been watching the Minifee dolls since Luts first produced them. I had looked at them so many times and Ruth among Soo as well as many other classic Minifee dolls Luts sold. Girls and boys.

Oili's face up is by Sarqq, dress and blouse made by me, wig from Bluefairy (it's shared with Eliza Day for now), eyes 16mm Enchanted Doll Eyes bought from their booth at LDoll. Necklace was also bought at LDoll from some booth and shoes are from Luts. Oili is silly and fun girl, say hello to Oili! :)

Fleur - Fairyland Minifee Juri 08 11/24

I know I'm super lucky to have this doll, the Juri 2008 is very highly desired doll that if you really want one you'll have to pay a lot. I was so happy my friend Uninu sold this head for me. I borrowed the money from a friend as I didn't have the price of the head at that time. I of course paid my friend back as soon as I could but getting this particular doll sculpt back made me cry. I had sold my first one becouse I needed money to travel back to my parents home as mom was sick and dad needed me to go there since he was going trough some tough times too. I'm glad I could be with mom, but I still regretted selling the doll I originally bought, so Fleur is my second Juri 08, just she didn't meet the first one. Juri 08 is a one special sculpt as it resembles the original 2005 Juri so much, I find the facial features especially cute. And the elf ears, they're something that got my attention too.

Her face up is made by Jesmo, eyes are resin eyes in 14mm, wig and clothes made by me and the super cute shoes by Summomo. Fleur looks really cute in anything she wears and I will be writing more about this outfit later on, as this is not only one I sewed a while back.

Lulu - Fairyland/Luts Minifee Soo 8/24

I bought Soo as a head in March 2013 from from my friend SweetNeat. I put this head on a A-line body for a while and then changed again on 2017 when I got my hands on Minifee B-line body and decided she could have that one. I think it really suits her, the old Luts Minifee bodies - from which I'm not sure if this one is from Fairyland or Luts - are one of my favourites of the single jointed bodies there are around. It's not the best poser but it sure is lovely. Lulu and Leo are a couple and I think they look really cute together. ^---------^

Lulu's face up is made by Jesmo, her eyes are 16mm from Enchanted Doll and wig is made by talented SweetNeat Crafts. Her clothes are mady by me except the shirt, it's made by talented Atelier Momoni adn the fabric is just superb with the cats! The sneakers are so old that I can't remember where they were bought from. They are really good shape still even if they are really old. So, put on your monkey sneakers and dance with Lulu! :D

Alexandra - Fairyland Minifee Nanuri 14 6/24

It's been a bit busy lately but today is a day off as we have Finland's Independence Day! So yay! I took few extra photos from Alexandra as I didn't get all I wanted yesterday morning.

I feel really lucky to have found this head from our finnish forum back at 2014, she just had come with an order to local hobbyist and I had a chance to buy this beautiful Nanuri 14 head. I really like Fairyland's way to make those pointed ears, they kinda pinch me from the good spot as an old ElfQuest coming lover. She has Minifee A-line body which I also bought second hand at 2016, I believe  body with large bust and cutie legs. Her face up was made by Jesmo.

Alexandra has had one red wig which also was from Monique Gold Collection and which I totally ruined by trying to cut it shorter, so I had to order another one in the same red colour. I quite like the combo of light blue eyes and the red wig. She had pair of 14mm Oscardoll sparkly eyes I bought from LDoll, pretty but I really wanted to try out something new. These eyes are 12mm glass eyes with small iris bought from Alice's Collections. I quite like the look with the smaller eyes, it is maybe a little bit more difficult to set in nice position but otherwise it looks ok. I will need to see if I'll get another pair of light blue eyes from somewhere but with regular iris, she looks kinda angry doesn't she? Her blouse is made by Arcticstarstudio, shorts and socks by me and very very old Luts shoes with a new lacing since the old ringlets which hold the lacing was broken. I really like the shoes so it's sad that they are beginning to break from the surface. Christmas greetings from Alexandra!

Cheryl - Fairyland Minifee Shushu 3/24

Cheryl is one of the recent purchases I've made. Well, recent and recent - THIS YEAR - lol! I bought the head from our local doll community. I thought she would be great on one older Minifee B-line body buuuuut the colour of course didn't match as she was newer than the body and I really liked the Ruth head that came with that body. More about Ruth later. ;) Cheryl - Shushu has face up made by Sarqq and they made just super fantastic job with her too! I had always liked Shushu as a sculpt and sometimes when the rigth time and price comes around it's great to take a leap towards it. Her body is Fairyland Minifee Moe line body with full bust, I traded Delf DES for this body with my friend Uninu and I think we are both happy. I know bigger dolls aren't my thing so much so it was good that she wanted to trade it. Anyway! Cheryl is still looking for her style, and I sewed this blouse for her as well as the leggings. Leggings could've been a tad bit longer but there just wasn't any fabric around. It was really small piece of fabric. Wig and shoes are from Monique Gold collection, eyes are from Enchanted Doll 14mm, clothes by me and face up by the fantastic Sarqq. Lets meet Cheryl everybody! :D

Hortensia and Mariette at Japanese Style Garden

I had thought about going to Roihuvuori Sakura tree garden for long time but I just couldn't get myself going, even tough I knew the flowers wouldn't bloom forever. They were totally gone today, which I expected but the Hanami event was going on there. I took Fairyland Minifee girls Hortensia (Juri 13) and Mariette (Dark Elf Soo) with me after I had an encounter with the sewing machine first in the morning. I tried to make a tiny size yukata/kimono type of thing which didn't fit any of my dolls, not even Pippuri who has stick arms. I gave up and observed some older SD size garments that needed to be recycled to smaller size things. I sewed until I was satisfied and even if I felt like I should go, I went anyway and this wasn't the best experience for me to be honest. (Next some whining, you can skip if you want).

I had been a bit anxious about if I should go or not all morning, do my dolls look cute enough that I can take them (wtf of course they do), they have nothing new to wear (OMG how stupid this feels) etc etc. I should never go to events like that alone, and if feeling anxious and nervous definitely retreat to safety of my own home and perhaps continue sewing or lie down on the sofa. I walked trough the place trying to find a place where to eat my salad I had bought and admired few smaller trees that were on bloom still. I found the Tearoom tent and talked briefly with my friend who was there serving tea, it was super to meet her, we hadn't seen each other for years. After that I went to the Japanese style garden. I dug out my dolls and began to nervously photograph them, and if I could've kicked myself I would have done that. It seems that older I get, more anxious I'll get in big events and less I want to be in crowds like that. Note to self (actually wrote a note and taped it on my screen side): 1) Don't attend to things like this, you're not going to like the crowds. 2) If you do, have friends with you, it's easier to be stared at with a friend if you share the staring. (People propably weren't staring, it's just that I think they are =_=). 3) Choose some other day to photograph dolls outside. With NO events. 4) Use some sort of bug spray to keep the stingy things away.

Anyway, even tough my feelings of the photographing wasn't so good, I think the photos came out rather nice. And the girls are super cute!


Hortensia's dress was a SD sized skirt which I added the boob covers basicly, just sewed them together first and then attatched them and cut the waistband shorter. I kinda like how it turned out! The necklace is made by Junipa. ^-^

Test Photos with Sigma 150nn F2.8 APO Macro

I'd like to add "THING" to the end of that topic there. I'm not comfortable with lenses or photographing with good quality photographing equipment. What I feel is that I'm not good enough for them and I don't understand how most of them work. Yes, I do photograph but I'm most likely the person who only do point & shoot as that's the easy way out. If I need to think about this too much my brain or doughnut which is my brain is beginning to hurt. We bought this new lense together with my fiancé. I guess I'm going to pay him the other half later on after I've again saved up some finances to do so. While photographing yesterday I noticed that 1) some lenses just can work with darker places like our home now that it's winter and dark after I finally get back home and 2) my camera body is totally OLD for the newer lenses we have bought recently. I hope my camera will cope with this for now as I can't update it yet, this large piece of a lense is really heavy too. I basicly wanted something to photograph some butterflies next summer and I'm so happy it will work with dolls too.

Winter Holiday 2017

FINALLY! Some new photos from me, sorry to keep you for waiting but in the meantime I learned how to make .. Tabs? thooose things! And I decided to add my dolls informations there and a bit of info myself. I've had quite a lot of fun with it but alas I notice how much I will have to get proper photos from them all. Maybe some sort of shcool photo session needed for my dolls! It will take a lot of time I know for sure.

But lets get into this winter holidays photos. I took Tilda (Bluefairy Tinyfairy Denis) and Mariette (Fairyland Minifee Dark Elf Soo) with me to the home-home. My mother had told me that the snow on the ground had hardened enough to be walked on (which is called "hanget" or "hankiaiset" in finnish). There is a layer of hardened snow on the top, soft layer after that and if you do push your feet too hard they will go trough the harder layer and you can end up to your thigh in the snow bank with your other foot on top of it. Few photos from dolls on the snow too. I wish I would've been more inspired with photographing, becouse the snow was so great to walk on I could walk on the forest to places I wouldn't otherwise go. It was super sunny holiday so it kinda was challenging to photograph dolls too. Not the best set of photos but they're both so cute! I know I should learn to photograph all my dolls together but gaaah that's just so damn hard especially after I noticed both of my girls were super sloppy and definitely need of new elastics (Mariette also fell on her face but gladly there was a layer of soft powder snow on top so she didn't break anything). I also noticed I didn't photograph Mimmi and Emmi with the better camera at all.

Christmas Holiday

Christmas holiday was and went and I'm happy that I took one resin doll with me among my two Neemos. I had received a beautiful gift from my friend Maria's mother (Fairy Style), I received an awesome gift from them at LDoll some years ago; a hat, scarf and absolutely the tiniest perfect mittens I've ever seen. Not to put less attention for Fleur's current outfit I won from Junipa's giveaway. These beautiful items are worth full photoshoot and where to photograph the outfit in "action", what would've been better than snowy Finland, my parent's home yard. First day didn't have good light but the second day was really nice even tough all the time it was cloudy.

LDoll Aftermath

OK! It's been few weeks after LDoll and I've been trying to sum up the things I've bought and sold there. I decided to snatch some of the clothes I had sewn for my own dolls, becouse - as usual - they lack of clothes or that's how it seems. First some things I bought for my own dolls and some that I did totally hope I would've bought few more! I will keep some of the panties, how ever much I try to find my dolls panties they seem not to have any! xD So I'll have to keep some. :) Anyway... Let's get down to what I got from the event, with better photos hopefully. I won't be listing all things, I need to find something else to accompany the pieces I bought. I also must say about my current absensce/not commenting from Flickr, Blogs etc that I've been really tired lately, I got nasty cold and throat ache and cough from the train back from Lyon to Paris and I can still feel it. Coffee tastes horrible and I've been drinking tea quite a lot. I do hope this will go away soon. I hate being ill when you're not ill enough for it to turn into fever AND have sickleave from work. *sigh* I don't like to be ill, but rather sick at home and healthy at work than something in between and having to bear this for more than a month.

First of all will be introduced a super hot blouse made by Kalcia from Kalcia's Workshop. Immidiately when I saw her posts about these in Instagram - Bang!- I knew Irma needed one. It's totally her style with the revealing lace. I found Irma's old shorts but she will have a black pencil skirt to go with this blouse. Her trademark of net stockings and pink shoes fit with the blouse too! :D

A little bit of Travelling at Porvoo

I visited Porvoo's old town with my friends Titta and Aura on Friday. It was wonderfully sunny day, and we went there by bus which was relatively cheap and just perfect for us! There were quite a lot of tourists already and we blended in just perfectly! :D Let the journey to the Porvoo old town begin! There is so much photos, sorry about that but I really tried to edit out. xD

Just One More Homecoming...

Sorry, just one more and then I'll stop, honest! I had paid half of this Minifee's layaway when I noticed that FL had shipped my order, I wouldn't propably had fell for this one if I'd known that. Anyway I did and paid the rest of the layaway last week, and today she came home. She is Fairyland Minifee Dreaming Sarang elf head with A-line body. I basicly bought her just becouse I needed another body for my rolling heads - Alex would have hers - and wouldn't need another head, but I really think this DSE (boahahaa, sorry for the shortening) is a keeper. I don't yet know what I'll do with her or if and when she might have a body of her own, but I just put her in the storage while Alex stole the body.

I'm so glad I got these guys home today. ^___^ Aren't they pretty! I did a little box opening, this time without Armi darling. All of them are face upped by the talented Jesmoth.


The bodies waiting for heads. One more body will come on Monday, it has another elf head with it. xD We'll see what happens with it. I'm not sure if I'll keep it, I wasn't that impressed with the dreaming elf Sarang head, she's pretty but I think I'll see when she arrives. The body will go to Alexandra, Nanuri 14.

Fairyland Body Order Arrival

Yesterday my order went to Finnish customs and maaaaan, I had to send them the order sheet (which I had screencapped and added into the customs declaration earlier) and then explain why there's not shipping fee and also screencaps of Fairylands notices about Shipping being free when orders are over 820$. Finally after paying 313€ of custom fee from my huge ass order from Fairland, they released it and this morning I had the parcel delivered on my door. I woke up for the buzzer since I came home from evening shift around midnight and was still sleeping. I've never jumped out of bed so fast and ran to the buzzer phone to let the delivery girl in the building. XD SO! After a cup of coffee and a sandwich I began to open the HUGE box! It was taped from two boxes together and yes! It was big!
