Dollmeet at Oodi Library

Yesterday we had a dollmeet on the central library Oodi, it is great place with different sized spaces for free use. YOu'll just have to reserve the space in their system (max 3 hours per person). And then just go there! It was quite nice space, apart from one of it's wall was aquarium type and people could see what we do there. Most people just look a little and then continue but there was a woman who was actually photographing our doll table trough the window even if one of us was staring at her like wtf are you doing woman?! Tsuki said they have meeting rooms without any big windows like that and next time we'll try to get one of those. Anyway, this meet space was booked before Valentine's day, I thought it would be good to be Valentine's meet but usually the dollmeets are on weekends becouse most of the people have weekends off. It was quite a surprise how far the meeting rooms were booked. So if we want to have for example a Little Christmas dollmeet we should be thinking about booking the space early. I'll think about that, depends most likely how many people wants to attend... Anyway! On with the show! There were 12 of us and many BJD, Azone dolls and Vinyl dolls, and even some exotic creatures. All are welcome to our dollmeets. :) It is interesting to see what sort of dolls, figures and creatures people collect.

Well Hello!

Sorry for the long silence, I think I truly needed the quiet time as the December with Little Granny's story was super intense and busy. Little Granny's props and such have been stored away for now and I've began to write next years story. It will evolve hopefully for a full story before next winter and I'll have time to photograph it early enough to have time to do other stuff on December 2019. Some Instagram action has been around, as I do find it really much easier to post with. Also trouble with Flickr and their higher price for the pro account has made me cut my photos and rework posts in this blog. It annoyed me so much, and I cut many of photos from my Flickr too. It's something I wouldn't have had to do yet. But I didn't know when will they cut the photos so I already did that. I'll be uploading some more photos there, but I need to think about what to post there. Lots of things going on now but I'm super happy I finally had my winter holiday! I spent my winter holiday with my parents and their cat Iines, and I had few Pureneemo dolls with me. I flew there, so I didn't want to bring any resin BJD's (of course I regretted it afterwards) becouse I already had enough DSLR stuff in my carry on bag and it's not an option to put any of my BJD in the luggage. So I went with Liisa and Jenina! They are so cute and omg how well their outfits work for the winter. I also had few funny Sumikko Gurashi figures from various sets with me too. They're so much fun. ^-^

Yay, had a outdoor walking food date with a friend last weekend. We went to Suomenlinna fortress island to walk around and to have some tea and coffee, we also ended up to have some very good smoked salmon soup (smoked isn't my personal favourite but this was rather nice) and walk around the Toy Museum. I had Roosa (Aika) and Jenina (Koron) with me this time and finally had to get few photos from them. My friend took few paparazzi photos from me while I was photographing my dolls. :P Also my bf found the reason my photos were grainy at the meet photos. I had forgotten to adjust the shutter speed for the meet (indoor photos) and that's why they came out grainy. =__= DOH.

Two Parcels In One Day

This totally wasn't planned thing, I was having a holiday when both of these parcels went to the customs and when I came back home from the holiday, I paid the ransom for them. It was a pleasant surprise to fetch them both from the post office yesterday after work. Them boxes. I bought some ice skates from AmiAmi and I couldn't not to see if they had something for sale. I saw Chiika for sale and Lien with regular price so Chiika it was! And second parcel is from Hobby Search, Moi Lumi Raili. I know - she is fair/white and I wasn't sure if I like her or not or if I can live with the head/body colour difference. Let us open the boxes!

Bad Comparison of Azone Pureneemo Flection and Emotion Body

OMG, so sorry this is so bad, most of the photos are overexposed (?) and off focus but I just can't help it right now. I own Pureneemo XS, S and M size bodies, the Flection I presume. I thought the cat Mio would have different body but it was the same as other M-size Flection bodies. Anyway, few thoughts and photos from the bodies side by side. I didn't know what sort of comparisons to get but I can have more if you want. ^^;

Arrival of Azone Pureneemo Fanny Fanny III Himeno

Today was a political strike which was said to affect on public transportation, the post delivery etc. I was super surprised when I went to see my parcel tracking from AmiAmi and saw that the parcel was on delivery! Gosh, and after five minutes of that I had this parcel on my hands! Yay! So great! Here she is, I decided to order her as soon as I saw her in pre-order. I didn't get Koron in the first try and that left me regretting that I was not ready for her release but luckily I have her ordered/paid becouse I saw her in stock at AmiAmi on Thursday. I couldn't find the S-size Flection body from the site, but only with huge boobs and I don't think Himeno wants that big of a bust sooo I think she'll have to settle down with this one for now. As well as Koron too, I ordered some hands with her for the new body so at least they will have few spare hands. I decided to name her Fanni as the name itself is a bit funny. LOL.

Test Photos with Sigma 150nn F2.8 APO Macro

I'd like to add "THING" to the end of that topic there. I'm not comfortable with lenses or photographing with good quality photographing equipment. What I feel is that I'm not good enough for them and I don't understand how most of them work. Yes, I do photograph but I'm most likely the person who only do point & shoot as that's the easy way out. If I need to think about this too much my brain or doughnut which is my brain is beginning to hurt. We bought this new lense together with my fiancé. I guess I'm going to pay him the other half later on after I've again saved up some finances to do so. While photographing yesterday I noticed that 1) some lenses just can work with darker places like our home now that it's winter and dark after I finally get back home and 2) my camera body is totally OLD for the newer lenses we have bought recently. I hope my camera will cope with this for now as I can't update it yet, this large piece of a lense is really heavy too. I basicly wanted something to photograph some butterflies next summer and I'm so happy it will work with dolls too.

Arrival of Wicked style Aika IV

I have never been a big fan of Aika, she's been one of those dolls that I've liked the least. This version caught my eye tough, I like the outfit and the whole look except for the eye colour and the new body. She came already early December or something like that, I know I was photographing the Christmas story so I didn't have much time to focus on my dolls. I also got a nasty flu and I'm still coughing. Man, I'm gonna be so glad this "winter" is over. Waiting truly for summer and butterflies! In the meantime, lets concentrate the energy for the dolls. :)

Lycee Birthday

I don't think I've introduced my Meow x Meow Lycee in my blog at all? I just photographed her for the Instagram when she arrived but I didn't remember to post any photos here. Ouch. It was Lycee's birthday few days ago, so I took few fun photos from the Meow x Meow girls! Sanni's little cafe seems to be quite popular. ^__^


My Lycee's name is Elise and here she is celebrating her birthday together with Miisa (Sahra, or Sarah?) and Tellervo (Maya).

Arrival of Sugar Dream Maki Koron - and Doll Woes

I had so many doll woes after this girl had shipped out that MAN I don't want to experience any of that again. I made an order for Koron with a spur of the moment with my mobile phone on my way to work in the morning when she was available for ordering. I don't know how many of you do things like that but I do usually think about ordering and make research for things before, but for some odd reason I didn't check which colour she is aaaand I only realised she is the fair skin colour after she shipped out. I was hopefull so that the colour difference of the head and the body wouldn't be as obvious as with for example with Nao Tomori Character Pureneemo I had bought (also with spur of the moment). I'm the first to admit it does really bother me a lot. I have only few dolls in all that have different coloured body and head, and that's with my Beauty White Tinyfairy which have their bodies yellowed more than heads as the head is sealed with coating. I can live with that as I've used to them, I'm too lazy to do anything to try and whiten them yet, but they would definitely need help (especially my white Olive =__='')... I don't want that for any other kind of dolls I will have in the future.

Irina at Belfast Botanical Garden

I had my first chance to take any doll photos on Wednesday at Belfast Botanical Gardens. They have this huge garden where are all kinds of trees and flowers. One of the favourites were definitely the rose garden, I'm sure it will be a stunning sight when all roses will be in bloom soon. Weathers were really nice, few showers on Sunday and Monday but after that we had very nice weather all along. I burned my nose and face, lol I never learn! Emmi and Mimmi got into few photos only becouse I only photographed dolls here and mainly Irina. I didn't want to spend too much time photographing dolls as I still wanted to spend time with my sister and her bf and my so, and following someone grouching on the ground photographing the dolls can be quite boring for others.


This big tree branch was low enough for me to reach to put Irina to sit there. :)

Arrival of Pureneemo Sahra's a la Mode MeowxMeow Abyssinian Maya

So, these things just keep on coming. They're awfully cute and I just couldn't resist! I'm still trying to keep my cool with buying Pureneemo (FAIL, EPIC FAIL!!!) so I didn't fall for the Meow series Alisa even tough I did have huge urge to buy her too. Yes, I'm sucker for a pretty doll and Alisa must be favourite, I do have Mimmi so I want her to stay the only one but man how hard it is to resist. I didn't even take a peek on the release date so I totally missed her. xD But the rosy haired Alisa which is store limited iiiiisss very cuute so.. I'm not going to resist Lycee, as I haven't seen the darker colours a lot and she is really nice (is the black haired one in the normal sale I hope?).

I now introduce you to Maya! ^__^ She arrived yesterday to my door and I was happy to receive the parcel. :)

My Pureneemo Family

Family and family, well, the gang, how ever you want to call it. One morning before evening shift this past week was sunny and nice and fun and I took the girls out from the crafting room to the sunny side of the house. I only had time for some photos, and I forgot to have more photos from little groups and a groupshot from them all. I did have one for Instagram but it's not the same! I also had Sahra's a la Mode Meow x Meow Sahra arrival but I didn't manage to photograph her properly either as she arrived last week when I had three hours longer day at work so I was quite tired after having to go all the way to the post office too. My closest Post office isn't anywhere in my work route, so it's always tedious to go there by train and then take a bus home. I usually go by just one bus to work and home, (except home from the evening shift) - so going to the post office means I need to adjust my thinking for it before going there. It just takes a bit more time. I had been following the parcel from the tracking for whole day and to my surprise they did try to deliver it second time around midday when I was just having lunch. To my surprise they called me if I was home and if I wanted the code for the parcel. :P I answered that I had been tracking it for the whole day and I do have the code to pick it up from the Post. Many times I've been at home waiting for the evening shift and luckily have had many packages delivered home. Sahra almost arrived to my birthday - only few days late - so I'm happy. All her items were really pretty and I'm glad she's home safe and sound.

Happy Valentine's Day

We in Finland call this day a Friend's Day (Ystävänpäivä) and it's been around since 1980's and in official calendars it's marked since 1996. People send cards and maybe give something nice for their friends, recently this day has come up second most popular day to send postcards (according to Wikipedia). I don't see my friends very often but I want to wish you all Goombastic Valentine's Day! For me it's going to be a evening shift which is really tedious but I baked some applepie to cheer us all up! ^__^

Arrival of Azone Pureneemo Otogi No Kuni Little Wolf Koron

I had oogled around this doll when she was first linked for me. She is a direct store version so you'll have to use a shopping service to buy her. I kinda forgot about the doll becouse I was busy in other areas of life (mainly work) and then regretted a little when I heard the orders were placed already. Well.. Don't need one. YEAH.

Then I asked my friend Uninu if she could see if there's any in Y!Japan or somewhere and she found this from Ebay. I caved in and Uninu helped me to get her. I'm beaming, I'm so happy! XD I do promise some super craptastic photos, light in this time of year is not happening and I wasn't at home in the time of daylight. To the photos...

Arrival of Otogi no Kuni Miu and the Frog Prince

YAY! Finally some dolly things going on! During my summer holiday I ordered Azone Pureneemo Miu and the Frog Prince doll and I really actually thought she'd be gone like in seconds! I'm still happy I managed to order mine without big fight. I missed the delivery as I'm having a morning shift week but weirdly the delivery person called me while I was at lunch. How strange is that! SUPER! Finnish postal service don't usually call and this was the second time this has happened. Anyway, to the photos!


It was nice afternoon and Penni had found a big box from the livingroom sofa.

Summer Holiday 2016 part 1

Wow, two weeks of holiday and finally at home! We went to see out relatives from both sides and spent most of the holiday at my paren't home. It was nice to see them, I travelled there alone by train on Sunday two weeks ago and my SO drove there by car the next tuesday. First night was thundering like hell. I'm so afraid of thunder and lightning, my dad said that I should've come to sleep downstairs and not be scared there alone. It lasted few full hours and as there is no artificial lights = no city, in the woods, the lightnings really showed up. MAN. I was so afraid curled in the blanket. I'm so glad it didn't thunder more when we were there!

I cleaned the blueberries with my mother, dad had picked from the forest. The blueberry harvest wasn't really that good and it truly was the game of the good, bad and ugly. Mostly the bad and ugly! I like berries but not fond of picking them. I'm so glad dad went to pick the blueberries, I hate the mosquitoes since they want to under your scarf or hat and in the nose and face and AAAARGH!! Anyway, we had the redcurrants covered with mom while dad went to the forest, redcurrants are easier to pick with a berry harvester thing. The berries were sorted out to the ones that went to the freezer to be eaten later the year and the ones that were made to juice by mom. It was also nice to swimming to the lake with my mother! I've not been swimming for at least five years so this year I went to have a swim in the lake and it was great! We went swimming on my aunties summer cottage which was really nice. First time the water was warm and the rest it was colder, it was enjoyable anyway! ^__^ The many years winter coat and hat is gone! (That's what we say when we go swimming first time in the year).

Mimmi, Emmi and Jaya were with me this time. Mimmi and Emmi got new bunny hoods and OMG they're so adorable! I hadn't really photographed Jaya either since she got her new wig so I wanted to give her a real photoshoot. First some dolly photos and then some of the journey, too bad I didn't have a chance to photograph the lakes, that's totally my view from Finland. :D Pine woods and the lakes! I will put the summer holiday post to two or three parts so this is the part one. ^^

Dollmeet at Kaisaniemi Botanical garden

I sewed new skirt and a blouse for Penni, and I think she looks cute, the hem of the T-shirt could've been a bit more loose but I couldn't help it after sewing. I find that A-line skirt fits her little legs very well! I had also baked a cake, actually two cakes from one big recipe becouse my BF's friends were coming to play boardgames - aaand they didn't. I knew we couldn't eat both cakes so I asked my friends if they'd sacrifice themselves and have some, thus we had an Irish Dream cake with Baileys in it. Only tiny piece was wasted becouse it was so warm weather I didn't want anyone get sick eating it. Anywayyyy... to the photos.

Arrival of Azone Pureneemo Character Kohina Ichimatsu

Actually I first thought that I wouldn't like any character dolls, actually I don't really care that much of the character, but the doll looks really cute! And I wouldn't say she was cheap, but that did help me with the decision of buying her. Good price is good price and that's great. I also ordered two sets of Re-ments and the girls loved those a lot! :D
