Latidoll Yellow Arctic Friends Mina arrival 24/08/2021

Had made order to Latidoll on January and didn't really expect to have any news from Latidoll during my holiday, Mina was shipped out before I got home so she was in customs until I came home and paid the custom fees etc. Good thing is that she came via EMS, which had been on hold since Covid19 started last year. I'm not sure when the EMS started to work again but I hope it will be around now. 

I ordered Mina and one extra head for my Emily who had fallen on her nose so the tip was cracked. I know it might not be a big issue but I wanted to buy another head for her despite the resin match might not be that great. Again, I've mostly had my phone with me so not-so-great (TM) quality photos from Mina. I'm trying to be more active here and eventually get back into DSLR too. Latidoll has made a similar move like Fairyland and renew their website. If you have an account/points/orders at Latidoll's old site you should go and take screencaps from everything and save your history. Their old site weren't marked as safe, but there seems not to be problems with the new site.

Doll Year 2020

On February I posted arrival of New Narae from Bimong and that became the last post before the December story. I haven't, how ever been resting on my butt after that but doing some doll things and photographed most things with my phone, posted to Instagram. Photographing with a phone is so easy, adding photos to Instagram is so easy and I think keeping the low standard of photo quality for myself when posting there has increased posting. I feel like photographing with DSLR has a lot more fiddling to do, especially during the winter indoors. I have a tripod for photographing and using it shouldn't be so tedious. Light on the other hand is non-existent during the winter time. I might want to buy better light to the doll/craft room. I might even try to find a small light tent. Don't really know yet, but I have so much things I should and I could do. And like usual, work is in the way of one's hobbies.

 

I really like this photo of Bree. All this series. I had nice photos of Eiko too, but then I didn't bring my real camera so I didn't post those in here. Maybe I should. At least some even if they're just phone photos.

Bimong Narae N402 New Body arrival 24/02/2020

I've always loved Bimong dolls, I once had a Narin for a short while. I sold him, mainly becouse he was french resin doll but that didn't leave me without love for Narin and Narae. Since I know very well that boys are a challenge for me, girls on the other hand... I knew I wanted a Narae at some point. Mixing the sizes of faces and proportions were really difficult for me for long. I feel like I've been learning the proportions and different looks of dolls for this past 15 years with this hobby. I'm happy I'm still going on with learning more each day with these ball jointed dolls.

I ordered Narae face plate N402 with the new body on July 22nd 2019, definitely wanted two different busts and in light tan colour. I settled for layaway for 3 times but that was ok, I was really anxious to pay my order finally and begin waiting. She was shipped out and reached Finnish Customs in just two days. After that I of course paid the custom fee and something new from our national post company - delivery/keeping fee - and waited as their customer service chat bot said it'd take 3 days for the fee to reach them. As I was working on morning shift next week there wasn't a chance to call to the Posti customer service as I don't like to call from work since breaks are short and queueing for tens of minutes or even longer is out of the question, I have no chance to go to internet as using a personal PC isn't a part of my work. Posti CS was open until 4PM and I was just at home around that time, one day my fiance came to pick me up so I tried to call but it was no use. I then waited until my day off which was last Friday and finally found out that ALL PAYMENTS WERE JUST FINE AND THEY DIDN*T KNOW WHY MY PARCEL WASN*T SHIPPED OUT!! I also called to the Customs customer service and they said the same, both persons in the other end were really understanding and my parcel was released/picked up on Friday evening. I consider myself lucky, as far as I know there's been really big hassle becouse the system renewal on both Customs and Posti have messed things up a big time. Seems like their systems are totally not communicating at all. ANYWAY!

Finally I've got my precious box which was delivered straight at my home at Monday morning. Super exited to open it!

Eiko - Harucasting E-Minor 24/24

A while back I already made a post about Eiko's arrival, it was back at September this year when she came home. I sent her to Sarqq for face up and boy what a beautiful doll I received when the face up was finished. I named my girl Eiko, her look is going to be... casual but I hope to make it a little bit glamorous... I don't think I've succeed yet, but hopefully it will turn out better when I'll eventually get into sewing at some point. I've also bought some clothes, shoes are troublesome as she has even smaller foot than Minifee.

Her eyes are from Kanis Augen, I'm not sure if she'll keep them. Eiko had a 12mm light blue for a while but I think she would need something golden brown, I've got a pair that's in shipping at the moment so I should pick them up today from local pick up point. The pair I have might be too big but I'll try them as Fleur already changed her eyes to blue. Wig is from a group order while back, it is 6-7 inches and needs a silicon cap. Clothes are made by me and shoes from Summomo.

With all the photos and dolls that's been introduced here, I want to wish all my doll friends and artists and everyone Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Tiffany - Luts Delf Miyu 21/24

I had been watching Luts site forever and ever and ever. I really liked all the dolls, somehow their features were a bit Elfquesty if you know what I mean (if you don't, google that). Lishe and El among DES are the ones with most Elfquest features and I love that, but my attention got Miyu with the attitude eyebrows before they changed them to the sorry-eyebrows. SO! Tiffany is my second doll and she came to me back at February 2006. Name she got becouse Tiffany jewelry things or what ever. It was a really nice name and it fits her.

Not the best shots, the first ones, but the light is a difficult thing around these times and I did try to photograph her as beautiful as she is. Winter time and dark evenings make things so frustrating. The photos come better towards the end I think. Tiffany is wearing a dress, necklace and socks made by me. Sylvia - Bluefairy Tinyfairy May 19/24

One of the most classic dolls and The doll from Bluefairy is their iconic Tinyfairy May. She's propably one of the most sold doll, she appears in many sizes and even their 15 year anniversary doll was May with elf ears. I bought Sylvia from the finnish doll forum at Christmas eve 2006. She came home on January 25th, I don't remember for sure but it might have been that I asked for a layaway and I got that, that's why she took so long to come home. I think Sylvia has kept her colour as well as Tobias has. Their resin is the piggy pink colour and I do believe they age quite gracefully. I remember the tone wasn't on many peoples liking but I do still love it. Most of my dolls had a background story, Sylvia does too but it embarasses me how bad story it is. I'm glad dolls can always be re-invented and refreshed. I don't make much stories with my dolls these days, but I thought it was fun when I did it. 

Sylvia has mohair wig by SweetNeat Crafts, Enchanted Doll eyes and face up by Jesmo. Her dress, tights, necklace and put-together-headband are by me and shoes from RRabbit shop. I adore those velvet shoes. So pretty! Christmas Greetings from Sylvia.

Angus - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Louis Valentine 17/24

There was a Bluefairy dealer called Angeldolls.UK and they had few of what I wanted for sale so in my order went for Bluefairy Special Tinyfairy Louis Valentine and basic Bluefairy Pocketfairy Yoko. "Special" has always meant that the doll has clothes, wig and shoes as well as face up coming with it. In this limited Special series it meant not the school uniform which they usually came with but grey shorts, sleeveless shirt with cuffs, jacket and hat. Not much of my thing, the clothes, but he was normal skin doll instead of the usual beauty white which limiteds usually are. He has a dandy body (which I find hilarious name for some reason). I find the Valentine part in the name really cute. Bluefairy calls their dreaming eyed dolls (the squinty eyes) as Valentines which is really lovely, they have sleeping heads too, but they're sleeping - not Valentine. Louis is handsome in many types and the Valentine type is totally one of them.

His name, Angus, of course comes from the one and only MacGyver. I think the name suits him, he owns a coffeeshop and doesn't have anything in common with the original Angus MacGyver who was a some sort of secret agent man. Angus' outfit and shoes are from Bluefairy, face up is default, wig from Leeke and eyes Enchanted Doll Milky #6 14mm. He has a day off it seems as as it is Christmas and even his little Cafe is closed on holidays. :) Please stop by his Cafe if you have time to do that! ^-~

Natalia - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Olive 16/24

Even the name of the Limited series Tinyfairy was super cute. Dear Deer series was beauty white resin limited doll with fullset clothes. Originally this set was designed for Sarang and photo in the promotion pictures were Sarang too. The Limited series came with clothes and shoes but you could change the head and body so I decided to go with Olive with a full blossom body. I split the clothes, shoes and wig with a friend and only kept the doll. Olive is super classic Bluefairy girl. I named her Natalia and she came home in the middle of February 2010. I swapped Natalia's body for blossom body with my Blance Marin Lin as I thought it would fit her better and then Lin would have different body than other two Lins.

Natalia's face up is default, wig is from Monique Gold, eyes Enchanted Doll number 48 16mm low dome, necklace Jesmo, cardigan by Maram Banu, corset by Raouken, leggings by Fairy Kiss (Kaede), legwarmers, socks and skirt by me and finally the shoes by RRabbit. I really like this look on her, she's so cute!

Oili - Fairyland Minifee Ruth 15/24

I bought Minifee Ruth originally becouse I wanted the body for my Soo. I'm so glad I found another Minifee Beautiful Line body for Lulu as Ruth makes really cute girl. Oili [owly] is somewhat like Moomin charachter like, this was said by the artist who made the fantastic face up for this girl. I have been watching the Minifee dolls since Luts first produced them. I had looked at them so many times and Ruth among Soo as well as many other classic Minifee dolls Luts sold. Girls and boys.

Oili's face up is by Sarqq, dress and blouse made by me, wig from Bluefairy (it's shared with Eliza Day for now), eyes 16mm Enchanted Doll Eyes bought from their booth at LDoll. Necklace was also bought at LDoll from some booth and shoes are from Luts. Oili is silly and fun girl, say hello to Oili! :)

Chloe - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Lin 14/24

Chloe is my second Tinyfairy Lin, not in order, but in this introduction. She's the third actually. Chloe is a Blance Marin Limited edition in beauty white resin, she arrived September 2009. She was sold with blossom body but I switched her body to a full bust from one of my other Tinyfairy girls. I sold the clothes she had before she came, but kept the wig. I really like this carrot wig, I think it suits Lin's features really well. Lin sculpt looks a lot like Xiao, it's dreaming version of that sculpt. From the second sculpt that is, first Xiao is a tad bit smiley which I really love. Serious Lin and serious Xiao were the first bought tough.

Chloe has her default wig and face up by Bluefairy, Enchanted Doll eyes in 14mm, cardigan by Maram Banu, blouse, skirt, socks and hairclip bow decoration by me and shoes by Daydream Doll. Let's meet Chloe! ^__^

Tobias - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Jerome 13/24

Tobias is my first doll. I must've told you this story for many times BUT here it is once more! My friend Woodoo introduced me to these resin ball jointed dolls back at 2004, she sent me some links to Customhouse dolls and we both really liked the look of these dolls. Woodoo also showed me Bluefairy doll photos from many different places, and said she's going to order one doll from them. Back then she had to use a shopping service for her doll and sometime during that year 2004 we met at local (from my home 600km - capital city = local) Animecon. That turned my head towards buying one of these super expensive dolls which look really pretty. My friend ordered her second doll and asked me if I'd want to join in the order and have my first doll. SO I took a plunge to the doll hobby, and I don't regret it.

I really love Bluefairy Tinyfairy Jerome which is my Tobias. He came home to me on November 2005, but first he went to my friends home where I had sent out some clothes I made with measurements Woodoo had measured from her doll. Shirt was a good fit, pants were too short in the pantlegs. When Tobias went to my friend's home, she dressed him on the clothes I had sewn and shipped him to me. I had gone to another city to teach silk screen printing at that time so and I woke up as soon as I found out he was at the post office waiting for me. It was so exiting!!! We've had so much fun together at these 14 years. Tobias has the original face up, Enchanted Doll eyes #42 in 16mm low dome and his wig is still the same black Dollmore. His clothes in these photos are made by me, his shoes are from Luts. Please say big hello to Tobias!

Armi - Bobobie 27cm Doll March Elf 12/24

Many might not know that Irma, one of my most important characters was actually a drawing first, before she came a doll. In some point I had drawn her a kid brother/sister and I also wanted to dollify this character. But, I wanted a girl and I wanted to call her Armi, I think the name was given to her by my friend Elina. I'm not sure if I drew her first but I had been looking out for a doll which could represent her. I found Bobobie's site and from there a perfect little doll for this character! Armi, you may see, is Irma's half sister. Their mom was married for several times and Armi is one of the children that came out of who know which boyfriend or husband. Irma takes care of her kid sister, even tough she's not very keen on doing that.

As well as other dolls representing this family, she has black and white hair, mostly black clothes with some accent colours with them. I think they're the obligatory gothic gang in my crew. (I don't know anything about that style either so bear with me. xD). Her wig is made by Uninu, face up and clothes by me and shoes by Bluefairy. She's a silly little girl and I think she's really waiting for Christmas Eve! :D Say Merry Christmas to Armi!!!

Xiu and Ping-Mei - Soom Teeniegem Ai 10/24

Soom Teeniegem Winnie Dee limited series was released at the beginning of 2010. I had a lots of thoughts about it, mostly if I should go for it or not. I wasn't sure about the whole deer leg business even if the doll itself was really cute. I thought when I bought this doll, that if I wouldn't feel it they could always be sold. When dolls are bought I buy them to keep, not to sell, but sometimes it just doesn't work and that's always disappointing. They came home at March 2010 and I decided to keep the Ai Romantic head with the neutral Teeniegem body which came with the limited set. I really liked both heads, so I ordered another Teeniegem body for the Ai open eye head on October 2010.

Xiu is the name of the Romantic droopy eared head and Ping-Mei is the open eyed one. Both girls have face up by Jesmo, Xiu's eyes are slightly opened by her too. The hooves and antlers were sold long time ago, I prefer them with the human legs and feet even tough the hooves were really funny. Xiu's eyes are Glassaugen light blue in 12mm and wig from Soom, Ping-Mei's eyes are random glass in black 14mm and wig from Crobidoll.

Xiu's shirt is by Kaede, Ping-Mei's socks are bought from Ldoll years ago and rest of the clothes by me. Shoes, not sure where they are from but I do like them a lot. They are twins, Xiu is the more in charge and Ping-Mei likes to lurk in the background. Christmas greetings to you all!

Kaisla - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Lin 9/24

Bluefairy Tinyfairy Limited Midsummer Night's Dreaming Lin was the first limited series doll that I fell in love for good. I really wanted to have this doll! And I did, she came home on October 2006 which thus made her my fourth doll. I named her Kaisla, which means "reed" in english. Midsummer Night's Dreaming Xiao and Lin were second limiteds that came with magical "Misty Rose" skin which I guess was just less red and more like yellowish normal skin. I've changed Kaisla's look very little from the original, she has blonde wig, face up is still the same as it was when she arrived and she sometimes wears some of the limited set clothes she came with. Her eyes are light blue... noooot exactly sure if they are resin eyes or glass, I think they propably are glass. Anyway, I might want to change them as they are a bit too big. Kaisla is looking for me re-inventing her style since she looks like a pile of cream topped with cream with yellow and more cream. She's like a cake! Ahem, lets get this together:

Lulu - Fairyland/Luts Minifee Soo 8/24

I bought Soo as a head in March 2013 from from my friend SweetNeat. I put this head on a A-line body for a while and then changed again on 2017 when I got my hands on Minifee B-line body and decided she could have that one. I think it really suits her, the old Luts Minifee bodies - from which I'm not sure if this one is from Fairyland or Luts - are one of my favourites of the single jointed bodies there are around. It's not the best poser but it sure is lovely. Lulu and Leo are a couple and I think they look really cute together. ^---------^

Lulu's face up is made by Jesmo, her eyes are 16mm from Enchanted Doll and wig is made by talented SweetNeat Crafts. Her clothes are mady by me except the shirt, it's made by talented Atelier Momoni adn the fabric is just superb with the cats! The sneakers are so old that I can't remember where they were bought from. They are really good shape still even if they are really old. So, put on your monkey sneakers and dance with Lulu! :D

Leo - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Gus 7/24

Like Bluefairy has done many times lately, they had said that Tinyfairy Gus will be a limited item after the last order period. I decided to order some doll shoes as well as the TF Gus head. I think we made a group order with some people. Anyway, Leo came home at March 2014, just for my birthday which was of course awesome. I bought a body in second hand for him too year later. He is such a cutie, first I didn't think I'd own a Gus but he is really gentle looking boy (with Classic Tinyfairy Gentle Body too ahahaaaa) silly joke there.

I sent his head out to have a face up from Fyrd8th and oh gosh he came out so pretty! His wig is a fake fur wig from group order and eyes ar Enchanted Doll Eyes 14mm and all clothes made by me. I thought he'd like colourfull pants and shirt. His shoes are from Luts. I should actually buy some sort of fashion magazine so I could see what type of clothes young (ish) guys wear these days, my spouse only mostly wears black so that doesn't help. I think he looks really nice! Leo is slowly finding his personality and character, it's great to get to know him. :) It's great to introduce him to you!

Odessa - Bluefairy Shinyfairy May (1.) 4/24

I was totally desperate to get Shinyfairy May in the first sculpt that Bluefairy created in SF size. Bluefairy modded the sculpt in totally different one for the second edition and changed it back to the third. The first and third Shinyfairy May look similar, but the second was really different from the mouth. I don't know why they did that but they did anyway. Maybe the Bluefairy enthusiasts got them changing the sculpt back looking more like Tinyfairy May like it was originally. My friend Uninu helped me to get this girl from Y!Japan and this doll was quite pricey as I can recall. And just few days or week or so after I had paid this girl Bluefairy noticed that they are going to make a final sale for the SF May 1st. It wasn't good luck for me, I always hope I can make the best deals with dolls I buy from second hand market and this time I really didn't. Doesn't everybody want the best deal? Anyway!

Odessa came to me on May 2012. She's such a sweet girl! May is the iconic sculpt of Bluefairy and they have sculpted this little face in many sizes. I'm vey happy to have this little girl. Isn't she cute? Her wig is from Leeke, eyes are Hand Glass Craft mauve in 14mm, face up is by Bluefairy as well as outfit and shoes. It was great to have Bluefairy in the LDoll when they came there as I bought few cute outfits from them and it's super good to have nice outfits for all of my dolls. Especially for the smaller ones as I'm really lazy sewing for them. :D Say hello to Odessa!

Cheryl - Fairyland Minifee Shushu 3/24

Cheryl is one of the recent purchases I've made. Well, recent and recent - THIS YEAR - lol! I bought the head from our local doll community. I thought she would be great on one older Minifee B-line body buuuuut the colour of course didn't match as she was newer than the body and I really liked the Ruth head that came with that body. More about Ruth later. ;) Cheryl - Shushu has face up made by Sarqq and they made just super fantastic job with her too! I had always liked Shushu as a sculpt and sometimes when the rigth time and price comes around it's great to take a leap towards it. Her body is Fairyland Minifee Moe line body with full bust, I traded Delf DES for this body with my friend Uninu and I think we are both happy. I know bigger dolls aren't my thing so much so it was good that she wanted to trade it. Anyway! Cheryl is still looking for her style, and I sewed this blouse for her as well as the leggings. Leggings could've been a tad bit longer but there just wasn't any fabric around. It was really small piece of fabric. Wig and shoes are from Monique Gold collection, eyes are from Enchanted Doll 14mm, clothes by me and face up by the fantastic Sarqq. Lets meet Cheryl everybody! :D

Eliza Day - Dollmore Zaoll Luv 2/24

Eliza Day is special girl. I bought her around February 2011 from a friend. Her face up and body blush had been made by the previous owner and artist Jesmo. She was first bought as a company for another french resin doll but I ended up selling the Limhwa Half Elf I had. Eliza Day was bought before the Zaoll dolls were produced from regular resin, and I don't remember if I could've gotten a new one with the new resin back then. I didn't really think about it and so she has really much yellowed all over. Recently I put her for sale in our Finnish FB group but as I now realised I can't sell her I took her off the sale site.

So, today is Eliza's day. I've been thinking about the clothes she should wear and shoes and such, but she can basicly wear all tops I have, but I try not to make her look more yellow than she already is. If I do I still hope she will look cute in everything she wears. Clothes in these photos are made by yours truly, she likes the blouse and I kinda think the grey skirt and stripey socks goes with it ok. She shares a wig with one of my older Minifee dolls but I'll definitely buy another one of similar wigs like this Bluefairy shaggy cut wig she now has. Her eyes are Enchanted Doll Eyes in 14mm size. I guess the eyes could be smaller but they are nice even if a bit too big. I had to assist her arms with metal pins on the elbow joints so that she would hold the pose. (In fact I did that for Akiko too, since they're single jointed dolls and any little trick helping the posing is great!). Have a nice day!

Harucasting E-Minor arrival

Wooow this has taken me long time to put these photos around. She arrived at September 11th. It was super exiting, I saw so many photos of this girl and I was finally getting one myself. Super exited and larger parcel than I expected! Apologies for the ever messy backgrounds. I really don't have a good space for photos and seems like that's going to be my forever problem.
