Latidoll Yellow Arctic Friends Mina arrival 24/08/2021

Had made order to Latidoll on January and didn't really expect to have any news from Latidoll during my holiday, Mina was shipped out before I got home so she was in customs until I came home and paid the custom fees etc. Good thing is that she came via EMS, which had been on hold since Covid19 started last year. I'm not sure when the EMS started to work again but I hope it will be around now. 

I ordered Mina and one extra head for my Emily who had fallen on her nose so the tip was cracked. I know it might not be a big issue but I wanted to buy another head for her despite the resin match might not be that great. Again, I've mostly had my phone with me so not-so-great (TM) quality photos from Mina. I'm trying to be more active here and eventually get back into DSLR too. Latidoll has made a similar move like Fairyland and renew their website. If you have an account/points/orders at Latidoll's old site you should go and take screencaps from everything and save your history. Their old site weren't marked as safe, but there seems not to be problems with the new site.

Little Granny's Christmas gang 23/24

Well of course, I couldn't let the Christmas go without letting Little Granny, Little Elf, Pink Bear and Lamb to have a chance to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Here's a bit of their history, in order of arrival.

Lamb / Ofelia - Bluefairy Pocketfairy Yoko with basic girl body, she arrived home on February 2011. I had always thought PF's were really cute but didn't think I'd buy any myself. She has brown acrylic eyes becouse they are nice looking and the size is good too, I've tried her some other eyes but these are the best ones. Wig, shoes and face up by Bluefairy, outfit by me.

Little Granny / Leni - Latidoll Yellow limited Cat. She came with the cat parts I think, and she was bought from Lunasa in our forum. Leni arrived at March 2011. She has Kanis Augen Gold 14mm eyes and Rosenlied mohair wig with default face up by Latidoll. Her cardigan is made by Kaede, shoes from Mimiwoo oooorrrr some other place I can't remember, outfit is by me other than the cardigan.

Pink Bear / Bijou - Latidoll Yellow limited Le Petit Prince Kuroo the sheep. I bought her from Kaede from our Finnish doll forum. Most of my Lati's are bought from hobbyists. Default face up, wig from Dollheart, outfit by me, hat bought from LDoll and shoes Mimiwoo propably.

Little Elf / Edwina - Latidoll Yellow Limited Special HongKong elf. Again she was bought from Efoto at our finnish forum at May 2015. Face up is default, eyes from Kanis Augen, Dollheart wig, cardigan again by talented Kaede, other clothes by me and shoes I can't remember where they're from.

Katie at Hatanpää Arboretum

So I went to see friends at Tampere city few weeks back, it was great to see them and talk about dolls. Me and Kaede went to the Arboretum before meeting Uninu and Mei, so here are few photos from there. After that we had something to eat and went to Mei's workplace to have a craft meet. I learned how to make a wig with hotglueing and from acrylic yarn which was really exiting, tough it's still not finished as I didn't have time to do that. I'm hoping to finish it on my holiday which is week ahead! Lots of plans for the holiday, I hope I can do at least half of it.


I'm so glad I've sewed much Lati clothes years back when I sold things in LDoll. This dress was one of the lucky finds, it fits her perfectly! I'd need to sew some sock for my Lati Yellows too.

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 24

It's Christmas Eve and Little Granny, Pink Bear, Little Elf, Lamb and the reindeers have filled their tummies with delicious food, listened Christmas carols and played many games. It's time for evening coffee.
On jouluaatto ja Pikku Mummo, Pinkki Nalle, Pikku Tonttu, Lammas ja porot ovat täyttäneet vatsansa herkullisella ruoalla, kuunnelleet joululauluja ja pelanneet monia pelejä. On iltakahvin aika.

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 23

Little Granny, Postal Elf, Little Elf and their friends have finally reached Little Granny's cottage! There the cottage lies on that hill, waiting for her to come back home.
Pikku Mummo, Posti Tonttu, Pikku Tonttu ja heidän ystävänsä ovat viimeinkin perillä Pikku Mummon mökillä! Tuolla se mökki töröttää mäen päällä, odottamassa Mummoa takaisin kotiin.

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 22

Owl had lead Little Granny and her friends to a Christmas tree forest from where they got Christmas tree year before. He had some owly shenanigans to do, so he left them and all of them waved for goodbye.
Pöllö oli johdattanut Pikku Mummon ja hänen ystävänsä joulukuusi metsään josta he edellisenä vuonna olivat hakeneet kuusen. Hänellä oli kuitenkin jotain pöllömäisiä juttuja menossa, joten hän lähti ja toiset jäivät vilkuttamaan hyvästiksi.


Lamb: Baaaa *snif* Baaa *snif*.
Little Granny: Oh Lamb, don't be sad, we'll meet him again.
Lammas: Bäää *snif* Bäää *snif*.
Pikku Mummo: Voi Lammas, älä ole surullinen, kyllä me tapaamme hänet uudelleen.


Lamb: Baaah?
Little Granny: Yes, I'm sure.
Lammas: Bääh?
Pikku Mummo: Ihan varmsti.

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 21

Owl flies above the tree tops and leads them forward in the path. After the exiting bridge episode Little Granny, Little Elf, Pink Bear, reindeers, Lamb and Postal Elf have walked in to a forest of short growing spruces.
Pöllö lentää puidenlatvojen yläpuolella ja johtaa heitä eteenpäin polulla. Jännittävän silta episodin jälkeen Pikku Mummo, Pikku Tonttu, Pinkki Nalle, porot, Lammas ja Posti Tonttu kävelivät lyhytkasvuisten kuusten metsään.


Little Elf: That was some bridge on that gorge.
Little Granny: But we all got over it didn't we!
Pikku Tonttu: Melkonen silta oli siellä rotkolla. 
Pikku Mummo: Mutta me kaikki päästiin siitä yli, eikös vain!


They walk ahead and talk about the bridge and how frightning it was.
He puhelevat sillasta ja sen pelottavuudesta kävellessään.

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 20

Little Elf, Little Granny, Pink Bear, Lamb, Postal Elf and the reindeer spent the night at Owl's barn and he promised to lead them towards Granny's cottage in the morning.
Pikku Tonttu, Pikku Mummo, Pinkki Nalle, Lammas, Posti Tonttu ja porot olivat yötä Pöllön ladossa ja hän lupasi johdattaa heidät Mummon mökille aamulla.




Pink Bear: Do you think we ever get back to your cottage, Little Granny?
Pinkki Nalle: Luuletko että me koskaan päästään takaisin mökillesi, Pikku Mummo?

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 19

Granny and friends had been scared by a friendly owl who had offered to lead them towards Little Granny's cottage. He had asked them to stay in his barn over night and they would continue their journey in the morning.
Mummo ja ystävät säikähtivät ystävällistä pöllöä joka tarjoutui johdattamaan heidät Pikku Mummon mökille. Hän pyysi heitä jäämään latoonsa yöksi jotta he voisivat jatkaa matkaa seuraavana aamuna.


Owl: Hooot hooot, hooot hoot!!
Pöllö: Huhuuuu huhuuuu!!


Little Granny: Who is hooting around here, it's middle of the night?
Pikku Mummo: Kukas se täällä huhuiloo, keskellä yötä?

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 18

While Little Granny and her friends were having a little break and reindeers had gone to see if they can find the way home, there came a huge bird and startled everybody.
Kun Pikku Mummo kavereineen oli viettämässä pientä taukoa ja porot olivat lähteneet etsimään tietä kotiin, tuli suuri siivekäs ja säikäytti kaikki.




Big bird: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you all!
Little Granny: That's ok, you just popped in here so suddenly we got a bit startled.
Little Elf: Gosh!
Iso lintu: Olen pahoillani, ei ollut tarkoitus pelästyttää teitä kaikkia!
Pikku Mummo: Ee se mitään, tulit tänne vain niin äkkiä jotta vähän säikähdimme.
Pikku Tonttu: Hitsiliinikkä!

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 17

Little Granny, Little Elf, Pink Bear, Lamb, Postal Elf AND the reindeer left Lila's home singing jolly Christmas carols about elves and Christmas trees and all things ending with "olly". They've all found the litle bags of juice boxes and gingerbread among other things Lila packed for them so the journey seems to look really nice!
Pikku Mummo, Pikku Tonttu, Pinkki Nalle, Lammas, Posti Tonttu ja porot läksivät Lilan luota lauleskellen iloisia joululauluja tontuista ja joulukuusista ja kaikesta muusta hauskasta. He ovat jokainen löytäneet Lilan pakkaamat pienet eväspussit joissa on pillimehuja ja piparkakkuja sekä vähän muutakin. Matka näyttää kivalta!

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 14

Little Elf and her friends - or rather Lamb - has bumped into a little angry fairy god mother named Lila.
Pikku Tonttu ja hänen ystävänsä - tai lähinnä Lammas - törmäsi kärttyiseen pieneen haltiakummiin nimeltä Lila.


Little Elf: We are so sorry about the noise and Lamb is very sorry to jump on you. She thought you're a firefly.
Pikku Tonttu: Olemme niin pahoillamme metelistä ja Lammaskin pyytää anteeksi kun ryntäsi päällesi. Hän luuli sinua tulikärpäseksi.


Lamb: Baaa-aaaah-ah.
Lammas: Bäää-äääh-äh.

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 11

Little Granny, Little Elf, Pink Bear and Lamb has bumped into some helpful reindeers who think they saw the Postal Elf.
Pikku Mummo, Pikku Tonttu, Pinkki Nalle ja Lammas kohtasivat avuliaita poroja jotka luultavasti näkivät Posti Tontun.


Reindeer: What do you mean it was that way? You know excactly that it was MY way!?
Squinty Reindeer: Oh.. well if you say so.
Poro: Mitä sinä tarkoitat että tuohon suuntaan? Tiedät takuulla että soli sinne minne mää osoitin!
Sirrisilmäinen poro: Aih... No jos niin sanot.


Both again: It was that way.
Kumpikin uudelleen: Se oli tuohon suuntaan.

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 8

Last night Little Elf, Little Granny, Pink Bear and Lamb wanted to send out their Christmas Greetings and put them in the postbox to wait for Postal Elf to arrive. However there was no Postal Elf's visit, the basket filled with envelopes and cards wasn't emptied. They decided to wait until next morning even if Little Elf was worried sick her friend.
Edellisenä iltana Pikku Tonttu, Pikku Mummo, Pinkki Nalle ja Lammas halusivat lähettää joulutervehdyksensä ja olivat laittaneet ne postilaatikkoon odottamaan Posti Tonttua. Kuinkas ollakaan Posti Tonttua ei näkynyt ja koria pullollaan kirjekuoria ja kortteja ei ollut tyhjennetty. He päättivät odottaa seuraavaan aamuun vaikka Tonttu olikin huolissaan ystävänsä puolesta.

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 7

Little Elf, Little Granny, Pink Bear and Lamb have crafted many, many and plenty Christmas cards to be sent out to their friends.
Pikku Tonttu, Pikku Mummo, Pinkki Nalle ja Lammas ovat askarrelleet monen monta joulukorttia lähetettäviksi ystävilleen.


Pink Bear: Oh gosh, I'm really liking how these look! Super cute!
Pinkki Nalle: Voi hitsiliinikkä, että minä todella tykkään näistä! Tosi ihania!


Pink Bear: I wonder how does Granny know all of these addresses?
Little Elf: She's asked those from her friends, silly.
Pinkki Nalle: Miten ihmeessä Mummo tietää kaikki nämä osoitteet?
Pikku Tonttu: Hän on kysynyt niitä ystäviltään, höpsö.

Little Granny's Christmas - Day 1

It was sparkly winter night and stars were shining gleefully in the sky.
Oli kimmeltävä pakkasyö ja tähdet loistivat iloisesti taivaalla.

It must be Pink Bear's home! Maybe she has gone to her winter sleep already, like bears usually do!
Sen täytyy olla Pinkin Nallen koti! Ehkäpä hän on jo mennyt talviunille, niin kuin karhut yleensä tekevät!

Little Granny's Christmas 17/24

Little Granny had told Lamb to have a nap and herself began to bake.




She is heating ginger, syrup, butter and spices in a tiny pot and fantastic smell is filling the room.

Bluefairy Gus and some Lati Yellow

I'm hoping Bluefairy will keep the no-make up Gus head in stock until Saturday. I'm going to make a little order since I really want that boy in normal skin... If they'd make a baked skin with Gentle body I might be after that... but at the moment I don't want to miss him. I already have two Xiao's from which one is the old smiley one and one is the first renewal Xiao after that. Also... baked Xiao and baked Lin would definitely be in my list to get if there's ever going to be a release of those. Money is only problem, but I think that's how it goes. You just can't buy everything.. but you wish you could!

Marcus' (Robin) head was shipped out last week to Shibya's, and she received the head so I'll be waiting for some updates in the future for the face up. ^^

It seems like we didn't have more than week of sun shining and nice crisp cold and then became this sloppy looking spring with grey weather. I wish some bright and sunny days so I could just get some light. I haven't actually been sewing as much as I would've wanted. I'll have very little of summer holiday, a week or so, so the time for sewing has decreased from the small amount I've had until now. Last year I had to push myself a lot to get the stock I wanted. I don't want to drive myself to the burn out. I'd love to sew some pretty clothes for my own dolls too, since some of them are totally without any clothing, Gentle bodied boys do need some jeans or trousers. And Minifee girls will need some nice clothes too.

I still would need to photograph some clothes to my Etsy shop. I have quite a lot of things that didn't sell at LDoll and some of the stuff has been around for quite a while. I'd love to get rid of the SD boy jeans, maybe I should borrow a Super Gem from a friend and get few photos... *sigh* SD boy jeans or trousers are clearly something I shouldn't sew since they don't sell. And I have loads of stuff I should photograph and put up for sale at our forum... Somehow they just pile up. And are really difficult to get rid off.


Leni and Bijou got some new stuff from Dollheart Fukuburo's I bougth with a friend. Bijou got a new wig, but I'm certainly keeping the fuzzy wig for her/him too. Bijou doesn't know who s/he is yet.

I got some really nice wigs from the Fukuburo and theyyy just might need some little Lati's to fill them up. Do Lati wigs fit to Pukifee...? I could get one of those too, since I don't yet have any... yet.

No much to update

Seems like the summer here in Finland was most likely a week long, separate one warm and sunny day at the time. :P How boring is that! I know I burned my face at least three times, but still I do like summer weather and warm. I know there's long, damn long winter coming along so some summer would've been nice. :P

No much to update, like the topic says. I'm sewing those one shoulder tops at the moment, I try to have a variation in colour. So far I've sewn two turqoise with that text print, two flowery, two black polkadot in natural white, one black and one black with grey print. I'm hoping to sew more today and then move to some other items. I'm not sure if I want to sew some t-shirts, maybe, but I'd definitely need more fashionable fabric for them than I did last time. I've also photographed the things I've made, so that if I have time left I'll make myself a little book where you can see most of the clothes. That's not a bad thing to see how the clothes look like on doll.

I wasn't going to buy another doll before Emilie... but I kinda fell for the Lati Yellow trap. A friend was selling this tan Kuroo (The sheep from Le Petit Prince Limited) and MAN I did love those blushy chubby cheeks when I first saw this series at Lati site. ^^

Anyway, she doesn't have a wig yet, or clothes, or anything... But I'll do my best to fill that hole with in.. half year. I suggested a trade with a friend and we still need to talk about details. ^^ I'm sewing her Littlefee jeans ans she'll sew me a wig. ^^ Some wonderful fluffy wig! She does fabulous job, SweetNeat, and has a shop in etsy too. I highly recommend if you want to have a mohair wig, her wigs are full and pretty!

This of course means that I can't buy Tinyfairy Emilie and the stuff I would've needed... Maybe after LDoll, I hope I'll sell much stuff there so I'm able to buy things. I have something saved for the event, but not as much as I'd like... so this goes like last year. Still few months to go and I wish we could have more information of things, like the proffessional names so we could make a plan what to buy. I know there'll be a representative from Enchanted Doll eyes and Dollheart since both representatives are my friends.

Ah, some coffee for this morning and then back to the sewing machine... ^^ I really like those bubbly one shoulder tops. Maybe I should make a pattern for SD size dolls too. It would be fun!

Ldoll - More WIP Dresses

Pocketfairy, Shinyfairy and Latidoll Yellow. The hem of Lati dress is too long, I will adjust the measurement of hem piece in the next batch but so far, this dress will be like it is. ^^ I'll add some beads, rosettes or things too. To make them as a full set I'll make panties/bloomers to go with it. Maybe if I'll find some natural coloured whiteish jersey I'll add some socks in too...
