Japanese style garden with Irma

Irma is totally a Autumn woman, I want to say witch since she has a witchy wibe on her and I like it!

I gathered my courage yesterday to go and photograph her at the Japanese style garden. I was lucky as the leaves were amazing colour and mosses on the higher part were amazing. Too bad I slipped down under a small log bridge and damn it was difficult to climb up. There used to be water under that bridge so why didn't I think it would be slimy. I slipped straight to my left leg and hands got dirty as well. Luckily the bridge was only about my waist high and Irma and DSLR were okay. I might have caught a bit of a cold while staying out so long without a hat. But at least some of the photos came out nice.

Robin's Autumn

Oh wow, long time no see. Finally it's gonna be last week of my summer holiday next week and during my holiday I managed to photograph my relatively new boy, Robin. 

He is Fairyland Minifee Seorin Sleeping head which I managed to buy from DOA a while back, I also had been watching his sales post many times before I decided that buying him an older body will not be an issue as new body would have really been totally wrong colour. I'm happy he was still available when I sent in my message. I couldn't believe how lucky I was since I did find him a body soon, it was offered to me in Instagram and from Europe! Wow! How great was that? Anyway, I'm getting used to him having his eyes closed and finding him a character etc.

There has been a change in my group, I hope I'm now and in the future more happy with my dolls and play with them more often. Butterfly season was and went, mostly, so there should be at least some time for me to play. If you have any wishes about what you want to see (I doubt it as my blog has been so quiet very long time... ^^; ) please leave me a comment. Now, let me introduce Robin, he likes nature, his favourite animal is fox and he really likes apples.

Winter with Bree

We spent the Christmas with the in-laws, there was snow and ice and cold. Just like winter is supposed to have and I really like winter to be winter, instead of the slush wet stuff we many times have at the south. It did snow a little now, so maybe I'll have a chance to photograph some more snowy photos with other dolls. That would be great! 

 

I didn't post anything here since February when Bree arrived, and didn't introduce her properly for you all. She had a face up, body blush and a golden tattoo for the bust parts, manicure and pedicure made by talented Sarqq. Their input on my ideas was super good and I'm really happy to have this girl at home. I really love Bree so much. Her eyes are from SoulInABoxDolls from Etsy. Wig is random borrowed from one of my Shinyfairy girls, hat by Sharkyra, blouse/coat/jeans by me, socks by Junipa and shoes from Bluefairy. The fake leather from the inside of the shoes is crumbling, so I'm glad it's only from the inside so far since it's not been easy to get BF's shoes these days. I think they did one order period for the shoes and I was so bummed when I couldn't participate on that. Anyway! She still needs some of her own clothes and a wig but, I guess there's no rush and thinking before sewing/buying stuff will be even more important now that the shipping fees are raised everywhere becouse of you-know-what. 

It was really difficult to choose photos in this post. There will be many, I hope you enjoy these as much as I did when photographing her. ^__^

 

 

Bimong Narae N402 New Body arrival 24/02/2020

I've always loved Bimong dolls, I once had a Narin for a short while. I sold him, mainly becouse he was french resin doll but that didn't leave me without love for Narin and Narae. Since I know very well that boys are a challenge for me, girls on the other hand... I knew I wanted a Narae at some point. Mixing the sizes of faces and proportions were really difficult for me for long. I feel like I've been learning the proportions and different looks of dolls for this past 15 years with this hobby. I'm happy I'm still going on with learning more each day with these ball jointed dolls.

I ordered Narae face plate N402 with the new body on July 22nd 2019, definitely wanted two different busts and in light tan colour. I settled for layaway for 3 times but that was ok, I was really anxious to pay my order finally and begin waiting. She was shipped out and reached Finnish Customs in just two days. After that I of course paid the custom fee and something new from our national post company - delivery/keeping fee - and waited as their customer service chat bot said it'd take 3 days for the fee to reach them. As I was working on morning shift next week there wasn't a chance to call to the Posti customer service as I don't like to call from work since breaks are short and queueing for tens of minutes or even longer is out of the question, I have no chance to go to internet as using a personal PC isn't a part of my work. Posti CS was open until 4PM and I was just at home around that time, one day my fiance came to pick me up so I tried to call but it was no use. I then waited until my day off which was last Friday and finally found out that ALL PAYMENTS WERE JUST FINE AND THEY DIDN*T KNOW WHY MY PARCEL WASN*T SHIPPED OUT!! I also called to the Customs customer service and they said the same, both persons in the other end were really understanding and my parcel was released/picked up on Friday evening. I consider myself lucky, as far as I know there's been really big hassle becouse the system renewal on both Customs and Posti have messed things up a big time. Seems like their systems are totally not communicating at all. ANYWAY!

Finally I've got my precious box which was delivered straight at my home at Monday morning. Super exited to open it!

Eiko's Winter Wonderland

Happy and prosperous New Year 2020!! May 2020 be good for you, me and everybody.

I had Christmas holiday with my parents at home-home in the middle of fantastic amounts of snow. Eiko got some new clothes from @jun1pashop before the holiday and she insisted coming along with me so I could have few photos from her with new sweater, hat and socks on. ^__^ She also got new eyes which are too big as they were meant for Fleur (Juri 08) but becouse Fleur chose blue eyes before these hazel ones arrived they kinda got to wait for new owner. They are too big even if they're 14mm with small pupil/iris thing, Eiko does need smaller. Anyway, it was gray day so the photos came out a bit flat. Eiko is super cute tough!

Eiko - Harucasting E-Minor 24/24

A while back I already made a post about Eiko's arrival, it was back at September this year when she came home. I sent her to Sarqq for face up and boy what a beautiful doll I received when the face up was finished. I named my girl Eiko, her look is going to be... casual but I hope to make it a little bit glamorous... I don't think I've succeed yet, but hopefully it will turn out better when I'll eventually get into sewing at some point. I've also bought some clothes, shoes are troublesome as she has even smaller foot than Minifee.

Her eyes are from Kanis Augen, I'm not sure if she'll keep them. Eiko had a 12mm light blue for a while but I think she would need something golden brown, I've got a pair that's in shipping at the moment so I should pick them up today from local pick up point. The pair I have might be too big but I'll try them as Fleur already changed her eyes to blue. Wig is from a group order while back, it is 6-7 inches and needs a silicon cap. Clothes are made by me and shoes from Summomo.

Little Granny's Christmas gang 23/24

Well of course, I couldn't let the Christmas go without letting Little Granny, Little Elf, Pink Bear and Lamb to have a chance to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Here's a bit of their history, in order of arrival.

Lamb / Ofelia - Bluefairy Pocketfairy Yoko with basic girl body, she arrived home on February 2011. I had always thought PF's were really cute but didn't think I'd buy any myself. She has brown acrylic eyes becouse they are nice looking and the size is good too, I've tried her some other eyes but these are the best ones. Wig, shoes and face up by Bluefairy, outfit by me.

Little Granny / Leni - Latidoll Yellow limited Cat. She came with the cat parts I think, and she was bought from Lunasa in our forum. Leni arrived at March 2011. She has Kanis Augen Gold 14mm eyes and Rosenlied mohair wig with default face up by Latidoll. Her cardigan is made by Kaede, shoes from Mimiwoo oooorrrr some other place I can't remember, outfit is by me other than the cardigan.

Pink Bear / Bijou - Latidoll Yellow limited Le Petit Prince Kuroo the sheep. I bought her from Kaede from our Finnish doll forum. Most of my Lati's are bought from hobbyists. Default face up, wig from Dollheart, outfit by me, hat bought from LDoll and shoes Mimiwoo propably.

Little Elf / Edwina - Latidoll Yellow Limited Special HongKong elf. Again she was bought from Efoto at our finnish forum at May 2015. Face up is default, eyes from Kanis Augen, Dollheart wig, cardigan again by talented Kaede, other clothes by me and shoes I can't remember where they're from.

Miio - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Kyle 22/24

At Your Service Kyle and Jerome were another one of those Premium Limited sets that were sold by Bluefairy at one time. I bought Kyle second hand, he had a boy body instead of the Dandy and no clothes, eyes or wig. I bought or traded the outfit later on, can't remember for sure as I've not written that down anywhere. Anyway, the limited series were painted by Bluefairy artist Xia'o and they were beauty white resin. Outfits were really well made and beautiful, they're Dandy size, so it's a little too big for my boy. I named him Miio, I googled it and it's just longer finnish form of Mio and I've seen it mostly as a boys name. I guess it could be a girls name too, it sounds like it could be either one.

I was inspired by a photo from a young woman in a women's magazine and she had grey straight pants, white blouse, a hat and boots. It was quite simple look but it was nice. I wanted to try to re-create this look on three of my dolls and Miio got one outfit for himself. Pants were all made from this grey linen (I think it's linen, not sure), shirt is older thing I had around, he has his own socks and shoes by Bluefairy. His face up is by Xia'o, eyes from eye shop I just can't spell the name, it might've been from Germany (not Kanis Augen) and wig by Onegreyelephant. Say hello for him will you?! :)

Tiffany - Luts Delf Miyu 21/24

I had been watching Luts site forever and ever and ever. I really liked all the dolls, somehow their features were a bit Elfquesty if you know what I mean (if you don't, google that). Lishe and El among DES are the ones with most Elfquest features and I love that, but my attention got Miyu with the attitude eyebrows before they changed them to the sorry-eyebrows. SO! Tiffany is my second doll and she came to me back at February 2006. Name she got becouse Tiffany jewelry things or what ever. It was a really nice name and it fits her.

Not the best shots, the first ones, but the light is a difficult thing around these times and I did try to photograph her as beautiful as she is. Winter time and dark evenings make things so frustrating. The photos come better towards the end I think. Tiffany is wearing a dress, necklace and socks made by me. Monique Gold Collection wig, Enchanted Doll eyes in 16mm, face up by Jesmo. Say big Christmas hello to Tiffany!

Aislin - Soom Little Gem Kivi hybrid 20/24

It's wonderful to swap doll stuff with friends. I've done that many times and it's great if you don't always have to have money involved if both agree to the items that are swapped. This Soom Kivi head is one of those very successfull swap items. The body of this head was bought ages ago second hand from a friend too, it's Little Fair body made by Angelregion in cream white resin. O gosh it is old, from 2006! It was surprising (or not) that Soom cream white resin fit it like a glove after so many years. Soom and Angelregion had something in common back then and that may be the reason the resin match of the head made on 2014 fit this body really well. Angelregion's body sculpter was propably the same person as Bluefairy's, becouse they are almost the same, only few changes has been made along the way. I'm so happy Aislin had a body waiting when she came home! She's really cute doll, I feel like this look suits her the best. Body could be swapped to Soom Little Gem body, since I've seen some of those around but I kinda like the thought that even this old one is not wasted as I have a good use for it with her.

Her outfit is made by Minoruworld for La Vien en Rose May Valentine, I bought it back without the petticoat but I'm planning to make one for this outfit so it looks "right". Aislin wears DayDream wig, 16mm Enchanted Doll eyes and her beautiful face up is made by Fyrd8th. Please say super huge hello to Aislin!!! :)

Sylvia - Bluefairy Tinyfairy May 19/24

One of the most classic dolls and The doll from Bluefairy is their iconic Tinyfairy May. She's propably one of the most sold doll, she appears in many sizes and even their 15 year anniversary doll was May with elf ears. I bought Sylvia from the finnish doll forum at Christmas eve 2006. She came home on January 25th, I don't remember for sure but it might have been that I asked for a layaway and I got that, that's why she took so long to come home. I think Sylvia has kept her colour as well as Tobias has. Their resin is the piggy pink colour and I do believe they age quite gracefully. I remember the tone wasn't on many peoples liking but I do still love it. Most of my dolls had a background story, Sylvia does too but it embarasses me how bad story it is. I'm glad dolls can always be re-invented and refreshed. I don't make much stories with my dolls these days, but I thought it was fun when I did it. 

Sylvia has mohair wig by SweetNeat Crafts, Enchanted Doll eyes and face up by Jesmo. Her dress, tights, necklace and put-together-headband are by me and shoes from RRabbit shop. I adore those velvet shoes. So pretty! Christmas Greetings from Sylvia.

Gabriella - Fairyland Minifee Marcia Dreaming 18/24

My friend Uninu had put Marcia Dreaming head for sale in local forum and man I sent her a message so fast. I've always liked Marcia, especially the dreaming head a lot. And in tan, what a great find. I didn't really plan to have her, but I took the chance when I got it. The name Gabriella was just a result of some googling in the Behind the Names, naming dolls is always difficult. Naming them before they come home is the usual procedure but sometimes it just goes another way around. I asked Sarqq to make her face up and what a fabulous job they did! The face up is amazing smoky eye with red lips. I bought an actual full doll from the local forum again just to have a body for this girl. It was a Fairyland Fairyline body which I've not had before as I don't feel the separate torso and leg joints are making any good for the posing. Standing photos weren't working becouse she's so slinky.

Gabriella, her name is not yet sticking, I like the name but I need to do more thinking. She might want to change it later. I don't know her well enough yet and that shows in the photos. I love the last photos of her, I think they really show her personality but  she needs to be played a lot more until I'm satisfied with the idea. The wig is from Monique Gold Collection, eyes Alice's Collections random chinese eyes 12mm with small iris, face up by Sarqq, clothes and socks by me and shoes by Summomo. Angus - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Louis Valentine 17/24

There was a Bluefairy dealer called Angeldolls.UK and they had few of what I wanted for sale so in my order went for Bluefairy Special Tinyfairy Louis Valentine and basic Bluefairy Pocketfairy Yoko. "Special" has always meant that the doll has clothes, wig and shoes as well as face up coming with it. In this limited Special series it meant not the school uniform which they usually came with but grey shorts, sleeveless shirt with cuffs, jacket and hat. Not much of my thing, the clothes, but he was normal skin doll instead of the usual beauty white which limiteds usually are. He has a dandy body (which I find hilarious name for some reason). I find the Valentine part in the name really cute. Bluefairy calls their dreaming eyed dolls (the squinty eyes) as Valentines which is really lovely, they have sleeping heads too, but they're sleeping - not Valentine. Louis is handsome in many types and the Valentine type is totally one of them.

His name, Angus, of course comes from the one and only MacGyver. I think the name suits him, he owns a coffeeshop and doesn't have anything in common with the original Angus MacGyver who was a some sort of secret agent man. Angus' outfit and shoes are from Bluefairy, face up is default, wig from Leeke and eyes Enchanted Doll Milky #6 14mm. He has a day off it seems as as it is Christmas and even his little Cafe is closed on holidays. :) Please stop by his Cafe if you have time to do that! ^-~

Natalia - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Olive 16/24

Even the name of the Limited series Tinyfairy was super cute. Dear Deer series was beauty white resin limited doll with fullset clothes. Originally this set was designed for Sarang and photo in the promotion pictures were Sarang too. The Limited series came with clothes and shoes but you could change the head and body so I decided to go with Olive with a full blossom body. I split the clothes, shoes and wig with a friend and only kept the doll. Olive is super classic Bluefairy girl. I named her Natalia and she came home in the middle of February 2010. I swapped Natalia's body for blossom body with my Blance Marin Lin as I thought it would fit her better and then Lin would have different body than other two Lins.

Natalia's face up is default, wig is from Monique Gold, eyes Enchanted Doll number 48 16mm low dome, necklace Jesmo, cardigan by Maram Banu, corset by Raouken, leggings by Fairy Kiss (Kaede), legwarmers, socks and skirt by me and finally the shoes by RRabbit. I really like this look on her, she's so cute!

Chloe - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Lin 14/24

Chloe is my second Tinyfairy Lin, not in order, but in this introduction. She's the third actually. Chloe is a Blance Marin Limited edition in beauty white resin, she arrived September 2009. She was sold with blossom body but I switched her body to a full bust from one of my other Tinyfairy girls. I sold the clothes she had before she came, but kept the wig. I really like this carrot wig, I think it suits Lin's features really well. Lin sculpt looks a lot like Xiao, it's dreaming version of that sculpt. From the second sculpt that is, first Xiao is a tad bit smiley which I really love. Serious Lin and serious Xiao were the first bought tough.

Chloe has her default wig and face up by Bluefairy, Enchanted Doll eyes in 14mm, cardigan by Maram Banu, blouse, skirt, socks and hairclip bow decoration by me and shoes by Daydream Doll. Let's meet Chloe! ^__^

Tobias - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Jerome 13/24

Tobias is my first doll. I must've told you this story for many times BUT here it is once more! My friend Woodoo introduced me to these resin ball jointed dolls back at 2004, she sent me some links to Customhouse dolls and we both really liked the look of these dolls. Woodoo also showed me Bluefairy doll photos from many different places, and said she's going to order one doll from them. Back then she had to use a shopping service for her doll and sometime during that year 2004 we met at local (from my home 600km - capital city = local) Animecon. That turned my head towards buying one of these super expensive dolls which look really pretty. My friend ordered her second doll and asked me if I'd want to join in the order and have my first doll. SO I took a plunge to the doll hobby, and I don't regret it.

I really love Bluefairy Tinyfairy Jerome which is my Tobias. He came home to me on November 2005, but first he went to my friends home where I had sent out some clothes I made with measurements Woodoo had measured from her doll. Shirt was a good fit, pants were too short in the pantlegs. When Tobias went to my friend's home, she dressed him on the clothes I had sewn and shipped him to me. I had gone to another city to teach silk screen printing at that time so and I woke up as soon as I found out he was at the post office waiting for me. It was so exiting!!! We've had so much fun together at these 14 years. Tobias has the original face up, Enchanted Doll eyes #42 in 16mm low dome and his wig is still the same black Dollmore. His clothes in these photos are made by me, his shoes are from Luts. Please say big hello to Tobias!

Armi - Bobobie 27cm Doll March Elf 12/24

Many might not know that Irma, one of my most important characters was actually a drawing first, before she came a doll. In some point I had drawn her a kid brother/sister and I also wanted to dollify this character. But, I wanted a girl and I wanted to call her Armi, I think the name was given to her by my friend Elina. I'm not sure if I drew her first but I had been looking out for a doll which could represent her. I found Bobobie's site and from there a perfect little doll for this character! Armi, you may see, is Irma's half sister. Their mom was married for several times and Armi is one of the children that came out of who know which boyfriend or husband. Irma takes care of her kid sister, even tough she's not very keen on doing that.

As well as other dolls representing this family, she has black and white hair, mostly black clothes with some accent colours with them. I think they're the obligatory gothic gang in my crew. (I don't know anything about that style either so bear with me. xD). Her wig is made by Uninu, face up and clothes by me and shoes by Bluefairy. She's a silly little girl and I think she's really waiting for Christmas Eve! :D Say Merry Christmas to Armi!!!

Fleur - Fairyland Minifee Juri 08 11/24

I know I'm super lucky to have this doll, the Juri 2008 is very highly desired doll that if you really want one you'll have to pay a lot. I was so happy my friend Uninu sold this head for me. I borrowed the money from a friend as I didn't have the price of the head at that time. I of course paid my friend back as soon as I could but getting this particular doll sculpt back made me cry. I had sold my first one becouse I needed money to travel back to my parents home as mom was sick and dad needed me to go there since he was going trough some tough times too. I'm glad I could be with mom, but I still regretted selling the doll I originally bought, so Fleur is my second Juri 08, just she didn't meet the first one. Juri 08 is a one special sculpt as it resembles the original 2005 Juri so much, I find the facial features especially cute. And the elf ears, they're something that got my attention too.

Her face up is made by Jesmo, eyes are resin eyes in 14mm, wig and clothes made by me and the super cute shoes by Summomo. Fleur looks really cute in anything she wears and I will be writing more about this outfit later on, as this is not only one I sewed a while back.

Xiu and Ping-Mei - Soom Teeniegem Ai 10/24

Soom Teeniegem Winnie Dee limited series was released at the beginning of 2010. I had a lots of thoughts about it, mostly if I should go for it or not. I wasn't sure about the whole deer leg business even if the doll itself was really cute. I thought when I bought this doll, that if I wouldn't feel it they could always be sold. When dolls are bought I buy them to keep, not to sell, but sometimes it just doesn't work and that's always disappointing. They came home at March 2010 and I decided to keep the Ai Romantic head with the neutral Teeniegem body which came with the limited set. I really liked both heads, so I ordered another Teeniegem body for the Ai open eye head on October 2010.

Xiu is the name of the Romantic droopy eared head and Ping-Mei is the open eyed one. Both girls have face up by Jesmo, Xiu's eyes are slightly opened by her too. The hooves and antlers were sold long time ago, I prefer them with the human legs and feet even tough the hooves were really funny. Xiu's eyes are Glassaugen light blue in 12mm and wig from Soom, Ping-Mei's eyes are random glass in black 14mm and wig from Crobidoll.

Xiu's shirt is by Kaede, Ping-Mei's socks are bought from Ldoll years ago and rest of the clothes by me. Shoes, not sure where they are from but I do like them a lot. They are twins, Xiu is the more in charge and Ping-Mei likes to lurk in the background. Christmas greetings to you all!

Kaisla - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Lin 9/24

Bluefairy Tinyfairy Limited Midsummer Night's Dreaming Lin was the first limited series doll that I fell in love for good. I really wanted to have this doll! And I did, she came home on October 2006 which thus made her my fourth doll. I named her Kaisla, which means "reed" in english. Midsummer Night's Dreaming Xiao and Lin were second limiteds that came with magical "Misty Rose" skin which I guess was just less red and more like yellowish normal skin. I've changed Kaisla's look very little from the original, she has blonde wig, face up is still the same as it was when she arrived and she sometimes wears some of the limited set clothes she came with. Her eyes are light blue... noooot exactly sure if they are resin eyes or glass, I think they propably are glass. Anyway, I might want to change them as they are a bit too big. Kaisla is looking for me re-inventing her style since she looks like a pile of cream topped with cream with yellow and more cream. She's like a cake! Ahem, lets get this together:
