A Doll A Week 2024 / Week 7 Natalia

 Natalia was a Bluefairy special order Dear Deer (Dear Girl or Boy) at the beginning of February 2010. Too bad I don't have all the emails stored from anywhere from different companies. But it is great that Bluefairy still has the listing for the order. The outfit was so pretty yet I didn't keep it, which was a regret some years later. Bluefairy makes such nice shoes and clothes. I'm not into the frilly style a lot, but some are cute and their more casual sets were more like my thing. 

Anyway, I was going to make a pattern for overalls, and I actually did but they will need a lot more work before I can sew them in actual fabric instead of just a test piece. It came out okay, but it needs more room in the hips and longer pants part before the waistband. 

So, after that I decided to push forward of sewing actual overalls and refining the pattern as one day wasn't going to be enough. I changed Natalia to Bluefairy school uniform, took her little sister Noelle (Breath of the forest Connie) and decided to make a little story with them! :D I hope you like it. It's as silly as they usually are. ^-^

A Doll A Week 2024 / Week 4 Sylvia

I think I bought Sylvia from my friend Tsuki back at 2006, just end of the year and perhaps with two part layaway so she arrived after I paid the last part, making Sylvia a January 2007 girl. Sylvia is Bluefairy Tinyfairy Basic May in natural skin, which was just changed from the pale yellowish tone to quite fleshy pink. Many people hated the new color but I really liked it back then even tough so many of the dolls I ordered were Beauty White. Her faceup is painted by Jesmo. Jesmo did many of my dolls faceups back then, and the this which she painted for Sylvia is still one of the favourites. 

Back then I made up some sort of history for all of my dolls, but these days I feel like its great to have that background story but it isn't as I don't really make that much stories it might not be relevant. And sometimes the old stories makes me feel really iffy. 😅

Sylvia had some TLC and I sewed her some new clothes. I had sewed many of my girls a pinafore before, so she just needes something to go with that. I also put some effor this time, light was also escaping fast when I was ready to take photos and the thing which you put under the camera to attatch it to the camera stand was missing. Where could it be. I didn't want to wait until tomorrow so .. more mobile phone photos then. =_=  

But! Isn't she cute!?! I'm always amazed how cute Bluefairy dolls are and of course my fairies are the cutest.  

A Doll A week 2024 / Week 2 Angus and Ofelia

 Back at 2011 I had my eyes on Angeldolls.UK, as they had many nice dolls in stock! I was focused on ordering Bluefairy Something Special Louis Valentine and Basic Pocketfairy Yoko! I still remember how amazing it was to get them. ^-^

Here is a link to Ofelia's arrival story and here's a link to Angus' arrival photos. I love my Bluefairies, even tough I've not played with them for long time. But now that everyone has their appointment in the calendar, even if I couldn't actually do anything else but take a snapshot or three that's more than what I've done in so many years. Anyway, back then buying two dolls at that time felt great option. They were in stock, so it meant they arrived rather fast. And as UK was in EU (?? I think) there was no custom fees. Angus is Tinyfairy Louis Valentine Special (fullset) and Ofelia is Pocketfairy Yoko with girl body (basic). They are so cute. Photos aren't best, which is not a surprise. I'll get into the camera thing eventually. And I don't want to post things late all the time so I guess we'll go with this and eventually get back to nicer backgrounds and such nice things. We bought some interesting wallpapers which I really want to use, but I might have to do some crafting first. There's no room for a roombox or a diorama which could stay put for long but I might be able to cook up some wall papered backgrounds so they would at least have some color and not be so bland. 

Autumn Islet

Here's second set of the photos from Tobias and Miio. I have had many photoshoots in this islet (I really liked this word). And there's going to be more in the future with different dolls. So much I like the rocky shores and the pines. These are actually in reverse order, the photos in the beach are the last photos I had from Tobias and Miio, and the ones at the bottom of this post are the first.

 

 

 

 

 

Tobias and Miio at the cottage

We were visiting the in-laws last weekend and as I knew there could be nice places to have photos I decided to have some dolls with me. This time I picked Tobias and Miio, as I've really neglegted my Bluefairies and since Tobias will be having his 16th anniversary at November 21st. So, it would be great to have him company and Miio had gotten a new wig a while back so I thought it would be great to have him too. I photographed the boys in two different places, at the in-laws cottage and the little island back at the town. At this post I will include photos from the cottage and save the rest of the photos for later. :)  

 

 

 

Sylvia - Bluefairy Tinyfairy May 19/24

One of the most classic dolls and The doll from Bluefairy is their iconic Tinyfairy May. She's propably one of the most sold doll, she appears in many sizes and even their 15 year anniversary doll was May with elf ears. I bought Sylvia from the finnish doll forum at Christmas eve 2006. She came home on January 25th, I don't remember for sure but it might have been that I asked for a layaway and I got that, that's why she took so long to come home. I think Sylvia has kept her colour as well as Tobias has. Their resin is the piggy pink colour and I do believe they age quite gracefully. I remember the tone wasn't on many peoples liking but I do still love it. Most of my dolls had a background story, Sylvia does too but it embarasses me how bad story it is. I'm glad dolls can always be re-invented and refreshed. I don't make much stories with my dolls these days, but I thought it was fun when I did it. 

Sylvia has mohair wig by SweetNeat Crafts, Enchanted Doll eyes and face up by Jesmo. Her dress, tights, necklace and put-together-headband are by me and shoes from RRabbit shop. I adore those velvet shoes. So pretty! Christmas Greetings from Sylvia.

Angus - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Louis Valentine 17/24

There was a Bluefairy dealer called Angeldolls.UK and they had few of what I wanted for sale so in my order went for Bluefairy Special Tinyfairy Louis Valentine and basic Bluefairy Pocketfairy Yoko. "Special" has always meant that the doll has clothes, wig and shoes as well as face up coming with it. In this limited Special series it meant not the school uniform which they usually came with but grey shorts, sleeveless shirt with cuffs, jacket and hat. Not much of my thing, the clothes, but he was normal skin doll instead of the usual beauty white which limiteds usually are. He has a dandy body (which I find hilarious name for some reason). I find the Valentine part in the name really cute. Bluefairy calls their dreaming eyed dolls (the squinty eyes) as Valentines which is really lovely, they have sleeping heads too, but they're sleeping - not Valentine. Louis is handsome in many types and the Valentine type is totally one of them.

His name, Angus, of course comes from the one and only MacGyver. I think the name suits him, he owns a coffeeshop and doesn't have anything in common with the original Angus MacGyver who was a some sort of secret agent man. Angus' outfit and shoes are from Bluefairy, face up is default, wig from Leeke and eyes Enchanted Doll Milky #6 14mm. He has a day off it seems as as it is Christmas and even his little Cafe is closed on holidays. :) Please stop by his Cafe if you have time to do that! ^-~

Natalia - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Olive 16/24

Even the name of the Limited series Tinyfairy was super cute. Dear Deer series was beauty white resin limited doll with fullset clothes. Originally this set was designed for Sarang and photo in the promotion pictures were Sarang too. The Limited series came with clothes and shoes but you could change the head and body so I decided to go with Olive with a full blossom body. I split the clothes, shoes and wig with a friend and only kept the doll. Olive is super classic Bluefairy girl. I named her Natalia and she came home in the middle of February 2010. I swapped Natalia's body for blossom body with my Blance Marin Lin as I thought it would fit her better and then Lin would have different body than other two Lins.

Natalia's face up is default, wig is from Monique Gold, eyes Enchanted Doll number 48 16mm low dome, necklace Jesmo, cardigan by Maram Banu, corset by Raouken, leggings by Fairy Kiss (Kaede), legwarmers, socks and skirt by me and finally the shoes by RRabbit. I really like this look on her, she's so cute!

Chloe - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Lin 14/24

Chloe is my second Tinyfairy Lin, not in order, but in this introduction. She's the third actually. Chloe is a Blance Marin Limited edition in beauty white resin, she arrived September 2009. She was sold with blossom body but I switched her body to a full bust from one of my other Tinyfairy girls. I sold the clothes she had before she came, but kept the wig. I really like this carrot wig, I think it suits Lin's features really well. Lin sculpt looks a lot like Xiao, it's dreaming version of that sculpt. From the second sculpt that is, first Xiao is a tad bit smiley which I really love. Serious Lin and serious Xiao were the first bought tough.

Chloe has her default wig and face up by Bluefairy, Enchanted Doll eyes in 14mm, cardigan by Maram Banu, blouse, skirt, socks and hairclip bow decoration by me and shoes by Daydream Doll. Let's meet Chloe! ^__^

Tobias - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Jerome 13/24

Tobias is my first doll. I must've told you this story for many times BUT here it is once more! My friend Woodoo introduced me to these resin ball jointed dolls back at 2004, she sent me some links to Customhouse dolls and we both really liked the look of these dolls. Woodoo also showed me Bluefairy doll photos from many different places, and said she's going to order one doll from them. Back then she had to use a shopping service for her doll and sometime during that year 2004 we met at local (from my home 600km - capital city = local) Animecon. That turned my head towards buying one of these super expensive dolls which look really pretty. My friend ordered her second doll and asked me if I'd want to join in the order and have my first doll. SO I took a plunge to the doll hobby, and I don't regret it.

I really love Bluefairy Tinyfairy Jerome which is my Tobias. He came home to me on November 2005, but first he went to my friends home where I had sent out some clothes I made with measurements Woodoo had measured from her doll. Shirt was a good fit, pants were too short in the pantlegs. When Tobias went to my friend's home, she dressed him on the clothes I had sewn and shipped him to me. I had gone to another city to teach silk screen printing at that time so and I woke up as soon as I found out he was at the post office waiting for me. It was so exiting!!! We've had so much fun together at these 14 years. Tobias has the original face up, Enchanted Doll eyes #42 in 16mm low dome and his wig is still the same black Dollmore. His clothes in these photos are made by me, his shoes are from Luts. Please say big hello to Tobias!

Kaisla - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Lin 9/24

Bluefairy Tinyfairy Limited Midsummer Night's Dreaming Lin was the first limited series doll that I fell in love for good. I really wanted to have this doll! And I did, she came home on October 2006 which thus made her my fourth doll. I named her Kaisla, which means "reed" in english. Midsummer Night's Dreaming Xiao and Lin were second limiteds that came with magical "Misty Rose" skin which I guess was just less red and more like yellowish normal skin. I've changed Kaisla's look very little from the original, she has blonde wig, face up is still the same as it was when she arrived and she sometimes wears some of the limited set clothes she came with. Her eyes are light blue... noooot exactly sure if they are resin eyes or glass, I think they propably are glass. Anyway, I might want to change them as they are a bit too big. Kaisla is looking for me re-inventing her style since she looks like a pile of cream topped with cream with yellow and more cream. She's like a cake! Ahem, lets get this together:

Kaisla wears her limited Dreaming Lin dress, necklace, wristband and headband with shoes by Bluefairy. Her wig is made by SweetNeat, cardigan by Maram Banu and socks by me. Say hello for my sweet girl. Thank you!

Leo - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Gus 7/24

Like Bluefairy has done many times lately, they had said that Tinyfairy Gus will be a limited item after the last order period. I decided to order some doll shoes as well as the TF Gus head. I think we made a group order with some people. Anyway, Leo came home at March 2014, just for my birthday which was of course awesome. I bought a body in second hand for him too year later. He is such a cutie, first I didn't think I'd own a Gus but he is really gentle looking boy (with Classic Tinyfairy Gentle Body too ahahaaaa) silly joke there.

I sent his head out to have a face up from Fyrd8th and oh gosh he came out so pretty! His wig is a fake fur wig from group order and eyes ar Enchanted Doll Eyes 14mm and all clothes made by me. I thought he'd like colourfull pants and shirt. His shoes are from Luts. I should actually buy some sort of fashion magazine so I could see what type of clothes young (ish) guys wear these days, my spouse only mostly wears black so that doesn't help. I think he looks really nice! Leo is slowly finding his personality and character, it's great to get to know him. :) It's great to introduce him to you!

Lukas - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Premium Louis 5/24

Bluefairy Tinyfairy Premium line was a limited line which had some special dolls back at when the beauty white were always limited ones. Louis was one of three dolls whith the same My Sweet Day limited status and they were quite a bit more expensive than the basic ones. They came with face up made by Xia'o (her signature at the back of the head too), eyes, wig, clothes, shoes, teddybear and suitcase. Originally My Sweet Day Louis came with a boy body, but I managed to switch it with a friend for a Dandy body. Back then I had a roommate who was also into dolls and she agreed to order me this doll and I paid the order for her. Lukas arrived at July 2007.

Lukas still has the original face up, eyes are 14mm Kanis Augen green and wig from Sunny's (I don't know if this still exists since the wig is old too). These days he has outfit made after one of the guys I've seen at work, it's so difficult to decide what sort of clothes to make for a boy so I kinda just stole one look that I liked. It has grey shirt, ochre pants and black cardigan with grey socks. His teddybear is still in his suitcase and he digs it out only in special occations as he doesn't want to seem like a sissy boy. Please say hello to Lukas. ^-^

Elle and Sylvia

This garden is a place where I go again and again. I'm sad I didn't have the strenght to go to the Roihuvuori Hanami last Sunday but I was just too tired from our journey. I missed the cherry blooms this summer but I can't help it, the flowers had withered already as I dragged myself there today. I went alone, which was a bit scary at first. There were few other people photographing a girl wearing some sort of japanese style clothes (not sure if they were real or not) but anyway. I tried to find a new place from the "wave" gravel thing and I think I got few nice ones, and then I headed towards my favourite places first from the upper level where is a lot of paths, trees, moss and rocks. Then I went back to the stairs when they came where where I was. I thought it would begin raining so I packed my dolls only after few photos from Miisa and Tellervo and it didn't. I should've stayed for few minutes more to have few photos with my phone. Anyway, mostly photographed Elle, May Valentine (baked) and Sylvia, basic May (normal skin). I will totally go back there when the weathers are warm again. (I think I burned my face again! I never learn!).


YOu might spot the pink dot there near the gate on the right. There were the people, and I headed straight to the grovel in the middle of the photo. I was kinda hidden behind the rocks so I thought it could be a nice spot first. To gather some courage. ^^;


So the burned dresses are actually print dresses - gah - weeeell can't help it now. Anyway, more photos under the cut.

Winter Holiday 2017

FINALLY! Some new photos from me, sorry to keep you for waiting but in the meantime I learned how to make .. Tabs? thooose things! And I decided to add my dolls informations there and a bit of info myself. I've had quite a lot of fun with it but alas I notice how much I will have to get proper photos from them all. Maybe some sort of shcool photo session needed for my dolls! It will take a lot of time I know for sure.

But lets get into this winter holidays photos. I took Tilda (Bluefairy Tinyfairy Denis) and Mariette (Fairyland Minifee Dark Elf Soo) with me to the home-home. My mother had told me that the snow on the ground had hardened enough to be walked on (which is called "hanget" or "hankiaiset" in finnish). There is a layer of hardened snow on the top, soft layer after that and if you do push your feet too hard they will go trough the harder layer and you can end up to your thigh in the snow bank with your other foot on top of it. Few photos from dolls on the snow too. I wish I would've been more inspired with photographing, becouse the snow was so great to walk on I could walk on the forest to places I wouldn't otherwise go. It was super sunny holiday so it kinda was challenging to photograph dolls too. Not the best set of photos but they're both so cute! I know I should learn to photograph all my dolls together but gaaah that's just so damn hard especially after I noticed both of my girls were super sloppy and definitely need of new elastics (Mariette also fell on her face but gladly there was a layer of soft powder snow on top so she didn't break anything). I also noticed I didn't photograph Mimmi and Emmi with the better camera at all.

Summer Holiday 2016 part 2

I posted some Mimmi and Emmi photos in previous entry and next will be Jaya, Bluefairy Tinyfairy Xiao. She's special girl, I bought her from Den of Angels market place quite soon after the release of Midsummer Night's Dreaming Limited and I love her so much! ^^ I would've bought both Lin and Xiao but I thought I didn't have enough money for both so I didn't buy her straight from the BF shop, I'm glad I found her from the DOA MP. ANyway, great memories and Jaya is adorable! Even more so with this new shorter wig. I still have her longer one but I quite adore this one. :)


I especially love her face up, the eye make up is delightfully different from most of the default face ups. Her eyebrows have been darkened on top of the original ones and I really like that a lot. ^^

Roihuvuori Sakura Tree Park Visit

Thank you Safir for going to the Sakura tree park with me yesterday. It was so much fun to be there and see the bloom in full. Ah so pretty! I had sewed new dresses for Mimmi and Emmi and brought them with me as well as Maya and Mimosa. ^^ All the girls needed some attention for sure! There will be a lot of photos under the cut and even more in my Flickr.


There's the Sakura trees and some birches too.

When you have a friend

Isn't it nice when you have good friend? I've always had friends, but the most important and closest for me has always been my sister. I felt like when people were against us we were together fighting back and there for each other. I miss her so much! ^__^ I'm waiting for summer so I can have her here with me, even for few days. Maya and Mimosa aren't siblings but they are best friends for ever. And enjoy having hot chocolate and pastries. :) We used to have similar clothes too, coats, trousers and skirts and stuff like that. :) Today M&M got their new shoes from Crobidoll group order! I need to sew them new clothes too when I have time to do that. ^^

Bluefairy Tinyfairy Boy gang!

I should have more imagination for photographing my dolls in general. Sorry, just few boring photos from them but I do love them so much. I should make them more clothes, they have had those clothes for ever. :P Poor boys. I should've added to the previous post about the clothes that I really like that I've made myself the outfit I sewed for Lukas. Those ochre yellow pants, grey shirt and black cardigan are a favourite! He looks really good in them. :)


Angus and Marcus are having a little Cafe where they are working at. Most of the others don't have a background story, but I think most of them are at junior high or high school, and the cafe is something where they occasionally go together. All of my Tinyfairies are with Classic bodies, I haven't yet bougth any with the new type... I don't know if I will. There are still few boys that I'd want but them having the new body is something I need to think trough. And they are not at my list in the first place at the moment.

Emma's Winter Style

Oh gosh, I've sewn the pencil skirt for my Tinyfairy girls a long time ago but never decided who should wear it! Finally I decided Emma would be the girl in need of that skirt and she'd definitely need a blouse to go with it. I sew her a black turtle neck blouse, very easy design and dressed her and hurried to photograph her in the balcony! The temperature has gone up to about minus 4 celcius and that's not bad, I think it was minus 21 when I last photographed Mimmi and Armi outside few days ago. Emma would need a jacket or coat thing to go with this. I have one coat but I didn't try it on her yet. :P I might take a nap, feeling a bit tired. Anyhow, here are some photos!


Emma is Bluefairy Tinyfairy Xiao, 1st edition with slightly smiley mouth. :) You can't see it that much in these photos but comparing her to my second Xiao which is the first renewed version the smile is visible.
