Leo - Bluefairy Tinyfairy Gus 7/24

Like Bluefairy has done many times lately, they had said that Tinyfairy Gus will be a limited item after the last order period. I decided to order some doll shoes as well as the TF Gus head. I think we made a group order with some people. Anyway, Leo came home at March 2014, just for my birthday which was of course awesome. I bought a body in second hand for him too year later. He is such a cutie, first I didn't think I'd own a Gus but he is really gentle looking boy (with Classic Tinyfairy Gentle Body too ahahaaaa) silly joke there.

I sent his head out to have a face up from Fyrd8th and oh gosh he came out so pretty! His wig is a fake fur wig from group order and eyes ar Enchanted Doll Eyes 14mm and all clothes made by me. I thought he'd like colourfull pants and shirt. His shoes are from Luts. I should actually buy some sort of fashion magazine so I could see what type of clothes young (ish) guys wear these days, my spouse only mostly wears black so that doesn't help. I think he looks really nice! Leo is slowly finding his personality and character, it's great to get to know him. :) It's great to introduce him to you!

Being Busy

Ooo how busy I've been lately! I haven't had time or light to photograph at all this week, and that's a bummer isn't it. I'm hoping I'll have some light on Sunday so I can photograph Sylvia and Jaya since I changed their outfits to do so earlier but I just didn't have time or light. Man it's been dark! And now it's raining, boohoo.

Anyway, been busy with things and visited an event at Messukeskus today. They had pet expo, country expo, outlet expo and handcrafting and such things going on. There were stuff for sale as well as supplies and things. I really loved the bunnies especially! We had a rabbit when I was a kid and how cute she was. We also took a little tour seeing rats, dogs, cats and other animals there was. They had also agility for rabbits and that what super adorable. I bought a minicupcake tin, and paper cups for it and some faaabulous fabrics. I kinda went crazy with them and I bought several pieces. I tried to pick some blue and a green one since I don't have much of those color fabrics. Hopefully I'm able to sew something from them soon. :D Me and my friend were really overwhelmed about the amount of people so we only walked around the pet expo and handcrafting areas. That was well enough and we decided to go home. :)

Sewed some clothes for Lukas (Louis) and Leo (Gus). Both have new pants, and I will sew some other garments to go. Lukas will have a shirt, I've already cut pieces to a darkish grey but was thinking that maybe white would work better with the ocra yellow pants and black cardigan. I have no idea what colour I should use for Leo since his wig is almost the same color that the grey is so I think I can't use that. I want to have some kind of colorful stripe on the front. Similar to Tobias' shirt but with colorful panel. That would be great! Only needing to decide the colors.


They have a button on front, but I didn't photograph that yet.

I've invited some friends to visit at Tobias's birthday meet, that's actually also a 10 year anniversary of sort, kinda celebrating my 10th year in BJD hobby. I've reserved a meeting place from our building, they're the kind of free of charge spaces where people can arrange meets, parties or such events. I've seen the place once, and I hope it will be good for us. ^__^ I don't yet know what we will do except for looking at dolls, but I'm trying to arrange some sort of photographing place for them and then.. propably just random chatting and admiring dolls. And eating, I'll definitely bake something. I will bring some dolls in to the meet but not all. ^^; That would be too much, even if it is our celebration. LOL. Two more weeks before the actual celebration and I should be making some paper hats. :D I asked if people would put a paperhat on their dolls, that'd be fun. So exited to have this little meeting, if the meet place will be good I might have more meets there.

Also, I sewed a pencil skirt that I really liked and wanted to make a hat to go with it but dang I failed the hat. xD That was sad, I can take a photo from it tomorrow but the brim (?) is too wide and too floppy, it should've been shorter and turn more down so it would've looked better. There's no more of that fabric so that can't be helped. Maybe I'll find out a way to save the hat. :D we'll see.

Boys, Etsy, sewing woes

Wow, I'm amazed about the amount of people who participated in my Giveaway! ^__^ Thank you all once again for participating. Since that was so cool and fun I will have another one in the future, no time decided yet. :D I added some stuff to my Etsy shop among the Moe line jeans and Tinyfairy jeans, I'll be sewing more of Minifee A-line jeans later since they seem to be something people want to have. Also I want to remind gently that I'm working full time and have a shift work which is very tiring so I do not take any custom orders. There is little time to do home errands, sew for dolls, spend time with the boyfriend and see friends, I thank you for understanding. ^^;

Ok, back to dolls then again! I'm really feeling the urge to sew winterwear for them all right now! MAN how cold this mornings has been last week! The stars were so bright, I saw Orion there shining for me when I walked down to the bus stop at 5 AM. My Tinyfairy Boys are hanging around at the craft room's shelf. Even Marcus and Angus joined in and I undressed them from the café outfits. I have a little bit of trouble with the boys clothes I have to admit. I have very little of imagination with them and mostly what the boys seem to wear at the moment are long sleeved jersey t-shirts. But what else could I make for them. Maybe some vests and that sort of things that I've already made for sale earlier. Also, some hoodies. But I'd definitely need some happier colour fabrics! Mostly what I have in storage are girly materials but I'd love to get some colourful stuff and then try figure out what to make from them. ^^; Anyway, I have few ideas but I also need to make them and not only to talk! I took a photo of my boys, so you can see how they are. I do think there are need to buy some new eyes, at least for Áron (Kevin) and Marcus (Robin). They definitely need smaller size eyes so I can have them look a little bit older. I also find out today that some of the boys would really like to get some sneakers. Lukas, Tobias and maybe Noah would really like those kind of shoes. I might have wanted to order a doll together with some stuff but the order period seem to have get longer for Bluefairy and what is available and when is totally different story. So still need some waiting, maybe Minoruworld would have some things in stock that I want.

Bah, the glasses of our balcony are shining the light to the left side and thus Lukas, Miio and Áron's faces are too light. :P I didn't dare to move the table or the backdrop anymore since it took quite a while to get the Gentle bodied guys to stand.

Fairyland has an event going on at the moment. I'll definitely want to buy some bodies for the rolling heads, but I'm still waiting for some reason. Maybe I want order more than one at the time, Fairyland doesn't offer Feeple 60 bodies or dolls at the moment so the Feeple heads have to wait yet a little longer to get their bodies. I think I'll stick with the plan to get Minifee bodies first becouse they're more easy to reach. Maybe I'll wait for the Christmas event to get all three I need at the moment. The heads are having their face up and I'm prepared to wait longish time. ^^ This time I'm not going to get any rolling heads with the bodies. They were easy to sell, but I'd rather buy a pair of hands with that money.

I made a backdrop thingy from thick cardboard (in finnish that's "kapalevy", kinda have two cardboards and between them some foamy thing?) and photographed some of my dolls before it.

You can set the angle of the boards as you like, they're glued and papered together like book covers. My friend picked up the paper for this and I'm really glad since she picked nicer than I would've done!

Size is good for Tiffany too. I think I'm able to photograph the Delf with this.

Lol, Alexander is too tall for this. He is currently my tallest doll and I think I'll keep it that way. ^^

I also took photo of Ebony, my sisters tanning Lishe. She has too little camera time! ^^ And definitely needing a new set of clothes. :D I do think this is an on going thing in my gang, there's always someone who needs clothes.

Meeting Leo - and other Doll News

Few photos from Leo. ^^ I picked his head up from a dollmeet yesterday and awww he is so cute! Sorry for the similar photos but I couldn't just pick one! ^^

I love the lightness of the lip face up on him so much, somehow, sometimes the darker corners on the mouth and the dark colour inside the lipline bothers me and I'm so happy Fyrd8th made this light coloured lips on him. ^^ Just like I wanted. I have something in mind for his clothes, but need to see if I have the fabrics to sew what I want. I want to have a shirt or so for him and maybe some lighter colour jeans or trousers. I quite like these jeans, but I think they're way too dark for him.

I bought some nice fabrics yesterday, and some plastic bags too where to pack my items. I sold some things at the meet, which was great becouse I'm really broke at the moment. I visited my parents last weekend and that made a hole in my budget.

Also, it didn't help that I fell in one tiny Lati Yellow Momo a while back and paid the rest of her layaway. ^^; Anyway, I'm so glad I got stuff sold, thanks to people who wanted to buy stuff. Yay. I really should get into photographing all the stuff I have for my shop (and I know I've said that for about half a year now), but I'm so lazy after work! I'd need to tidy up a space where to photograph. I know my Pukipuki would fit into a small space but I also have other sized stuff FS so that doens't help me a lot. xD

I think she's a fantastic add to my Lati Yellow gang, which is a trio at the moment, so even if I have a tight budget at the moment I don't regret getting her. :) She was my fall from the Plan To Get The Bodies For Rolling Heads, and I really want to stick with the plan now! I was moaning and sooo wanting to make a wishlist to Bluefairy about their "Please make this"-event! MAN I SO BADLY WANT A BAKED LIN!!!!!! I'm afraid if I ask for baked Lin, she will be produced and I have no finances to buy her. I still couldn't buy her anyway if someone else is going to ask for them to produce her. I really want but I just can't. :P Stick to the plan will you! Five rolling heads are wanting my attention as soon as I have finances for another purchase from Fairyland, so I need to focus. I really try but I see myself wondering in Bluefairy's site to see what ever pretty things they have there again. As I wouldn't remember. LOL. Anyway..

Tinyfairy Gus - Leo

I was really moaning about the Tinyfairy Gentle body, and for my surprise, I was offered one to buy.. I concidered it for a while and then finally bought it. So. Here are some photos.

Here is Leo. I like this combination of grey wig and turqoise blue eyes. ^^

I was told he has the classic cream and beige box with gold text, I must say I loved those boxes so much, so much space instead of those new ones you need to dig your doll out from. I was also a bit nervous about him... he was a bargain price body which the previous owner had bought from Ebay. There is nothing wrong to be cautious about buying from Ebay, there are so many things that can be wrong, especially when the item is not costing as much as something I'd buy straight from the manufacturer but is said to be in new condition. My friend made some research about it, yes, about if he would be a recast before I made the decicion about buying him.

When he arrived, I compared him to my Kevin who has a Gentle body. It looked the same, with all the insides of the parts and the tiny markings about the left and right parts. I am cautious about these things, and I've tried to be sure about my purchases from forums and all. I always check feedbacks and try to find out more about the seller, I do hope people who buy from me do the same thing, I wouldn't expect anything else. And Bluefairy did make a notice about their dolls being recasted which made me really sad. The head was bought earlier last year straight from Bluefairy when they said they would make Gus and Xiao limited head molds so I really needed to buy him before I lost the chance. Getting a Gentle body was another battle, I'm glad I got this body for him.

There is very little color difference with the Gus head. He has basicly been in his bubblewrap and box the whole time, only looked at for few times. I think this body has had a bit more "air" so it has either changed it's colour a little or is just a teeny bit different shade. It won't be showing when he has a face up on. He is really floppy! I'm going to need to find some new strings for him, but I'm in no hurry. I'm hoping to catch an artists face up slot near future too. I sure am happy about Leo being a full doll now. ^__^

Silence - over?

The so called radio waves have been quite silent from my part, mostly becouse my PC broke and I haven't been able to access all my links and such. Ah the shame the shame! I also don't have all of the passwords and such memorised (SAD) so I'm waiting for my SO to save my PC, he already swithced in power but he thinks there's something else wrong so I need to wait some more... *sigh* I have my photos all there, but I miss all the links and such. xP

Anyway, things going on: participating on LDoll again!!! Exiting! This year, as I've not been sewing anything for sale, I've had time to concentrate to the contests. I've already sent them my entry for the photo contest "Secret Garden" and I'm working on my entry to the customisation contest "White Party" - festive events on color white, to create a fullset, not necessary to sew or otherwise create all the parts by yourself. "The customization contest is not a sculpting contest, painting contest or sewing contest. It is not mandatory for contestants to have created the elements they assemble to make their fullest." I bet they're going to have tons of wedding dresses since that would fit the theme perfectly. I have only taken few photos of my outfit, since I don't want to show it anywhere yet. I'm hoping to get in the finals but I doubt I will, there are so GOOD participants every year. It's very tough contest I'm sure. I still have things to do a lot! So I hope I can finish my entry this weekend and photograph it next week... ^^; I'm kinda late with this since the deadline is on August 31st.

I've made a list about new eyes and things that I need. And I've also peeked in some private exhibitors and proffessionals to see what they will have for sale AND I've reserved some items so it will be easier to make a budget for shopping. Oh so exiting! It would be great if I find most of the things I'm looking for. ^w^

I have some eyes, wigs and such to catch, and these guys at the bottom row are going to have some.

I've already named Minifee Sarang, Nanuri 14 and Yder elf but they will be remaining just for me until they get some bodies and face ups etc. My Tinyfairy Gus (head only for now) will need a name too, but I think I will need to take him out from his bubble wraps and then see what he likes to be. ^^

Bluefairy has announced they will have a renewal to their bodies. MAN I do hope they'll keep the old bodies as option!! I do love them so much, I do like variation but I'm afraid I don't like the new ones as much as the old. I'm exited and interested to see what they're up to. Also, I find their new Tinyfairy Torso something I denfinitely want to have! My dolls, especially girls have some outfits that I LOVE absolutely to bits and it would be so cool to have them on display.

Bluefairy Gus and some Lati Yellow

I'm hoping Bluefairy will keep the no-make up Gus head in stock until Saturday. I'm going to make a little order since I really want that boy in normal skin... If they'd make a baked skin with Gentle body I might be after that... but at the moment I don't want to miss him. I already have two Xiao's from which one is the old smiley one and one is the first renewal Xiao after that. Also... baked Xiao and baked Lin would definitely be in my list to get if there's ever going to be a release of those. Money is only problem, but I think that's how it goes. You just can't buy everything.. but you wish you could!

Marcus' (Robin) head was shipped out last week to Shibya's, and she received the head so I'll be waiting for some updates in the future for the face up. ^^

It seems like we didn't have more than week of sun shining and nice crisp cold and then became this sloppy looking spring with grey weather. I wish some bright and sunny days so I could just get some light. I haven't actually been sewing as much as I would've wanted. I'll have very little of summer holiday, a week or so, so the time for sewing has decreased from the small amount I've had until now. Last year I had to push myself a lot to get the stock I wanted. I don't want to drive myself to the burn out. I'd love to sew some pretty clothes for my own dolls too, since some of them are totally without any clothing, Gentle bodied boys do need some jeans or trousers. And Minifee girls will need some nice clothes too.

I still would need to photograph some clothes to my Etsy shop. I have quite a lot of things that didn't sell at LDoll and some of the stuff has been around for quite a while. I'd love to get rid of the SD boy jeans, maybe I should borrow a Super Gem from a friend and get few photos... *sigh* SD boy jeans or trousers are clearly something I shouldn't sew since they don't sell. And I have loads of stuff I should photograph and put up for sale at our forum... Somehow they just pile up. And are really difficult to get rid off.


Leni and Bijou got some new stuff from Dollheart Fukuburo's I bougth with a friend. Bijou got a new wig, but I'm certainly keeping the fuzzy wig for her/him too. Bijou doesn't know who s/he is yet.

I got some really nice wigs from the Fukuburo and theyyy just might need some little Lati's to fill them up. Do Lati wigs fit to Pukifee...? I could get one of those too, since I don't yet have any... yet.
