Boys, Etsy, sewing woes

Wow, I'm amazed about the amount of people who participated in my Giveaway! ^__^ Thank you all once again for participating. Since that was so cool and fun I will have another one in the future, no time decided yet. :D I added some stuff to my Etsy shop among the Moe line jeans and Tinyfairy jeans, I'll be sewing more of Minifee A-line jeans later since they seem to be something people want to have. Also I want to remind gently that I'm working full time and have a shift work which is very tiring so I do not take any custom orders. There is little time to do home errands, sew for dolls, spend time with the boyfriend and see friends, I thank you for understanding. ^^;

Ok, back to dolls then again! I'm really feeling the urge to sew winterwear for them all right now! MAN how cold this mornings has been last week! The stars were so bright, I saw Orion there shining for me when I walked down to the bus stop at 5 AM. My Tinyfairy Boys are hanging around at the craft room's shelf. Even Marcus and Angus joined in and I undressed them from the café outfits. I have a little bit of trouble with the boys clothes I have to admit. I have very little of imagination with them and mostly what the boys seem to wear at the moment are long sleeved jersey t-shirts. But what else could I make for them. Maybe some vests and that sort of things that I've already made for sale earlier. Also, some hoodies. But I'd definitely need some happier colour fabrics! Mostly what I have in storage are girly materials but I'd love to get some colourful stuff and then try figure out what to make from them. ^^; Anyway, I have few ideas but I also need to make them and not only to talk! I took a photo of my boys, so you can see how they are. I do think there are need to buy some new eyes, at least for Áron (Kevin) and Marcus (Robin). They definitely need smaller size eyes so I can have them look a little bit older. I also find out today that some of the boys would really like to get some sneakers. Lukas, Tobias and maybe Noah would really like those kind of shoes. I might have wanted to order a doll together with some stuff but the order period seem to have get longer for Bluefairy and what is available and when is totally different story. So still need some waiting, maybe Minoruworld would have some things in stock that I want.

Bah, the glasses of our balcony are shining the light to the left side and thus Lukas, Miio and Áron's faces are too light. :P I didn't dare to move the table or the backdrop anymore since it took quite a while to get the Gentle bodied guys to stand.

Fairyland has an event going on at the moment. I'll definitely want to buy some bodies for the rolling heads, but I'm still waiting for some reason. Maybe I want order more than one at the time, Fairyland doesn't offer Feeple 60 bodies or dolls at the moment so the Feeple heads have to wait yet a little longer to get their bodies. I think I'll stick with the plan to get Minifee bodies first becouse they're more easy to reach. Maybe I'll wait for the Christmas event to get all three I need at the moment. The heads are having their face up and I'm prepared to wait longish time. ^^ This time I'm not going to get any rolling heads with the bodies. They were easy to sell, but I'd rather buy a pair of hands with that money.

I made a backdrop thingy from thick cardboard (in finnish that's "kapalevy", kinda have two cardboards and between them some foamy thing?) and photographed some of my dolls before it.

You can set the angle of the boards as you like, they're glued and papered together like book covers. My friend picked up the paper for this and I'm really glad since she picked nicer than I would've done!

Size is good for Tiffany too. I think I'm able to photograph the Delf with this.

Lol, Alexander is too tall for this. He is currently my tallest doll and I think I'll keep it that way. ^^

I also took photo of Ebony, my sisters tanning Lishe. She has too little camera time! ^^ And definitely needing a new set of clothes. :D I do think this is an on going thing in my gang, there's always someone who needs clothes.

Bluefairy Gus and some Lati Yellow

I'm hoping Bluefairy will keep the no-make up Gus head in stock until Saturday. I'm going to make a little order since I really want that boy in normal skin... If they'd make a baked skin with Gentle body I might be after that... but at the moment I don't want to miss him. I already have two Xiao's from which one is the old smiley one and one is the first renewal Xiao after that. Also... baked Xiao and baked Lin would definitely be in my list to get if there's ever going to be a release of those. Money is only problem, but I think that's how it goes. You just can't buy everything.. but you wish you could!

Marcus' (Robin) head was shipped out last week to Shibya's, and she received the head so I'll be waiting for some updates in the future for the face up. ^^

It seems like we didn't have more than week of sun shining and nice crisp cold and then became this sloppy looking spring with grey weather. I wish some bright and sunny days so I could just get some light. I haven't actually been sewing as much as I would've wanted. I'll have very little of summer holiday, a week or so, so the time for sewing has decreased from the small amount I've had until now. Last year I had to push myself a lot to get the stock I wanted. I don't want to drive myself to the burn out. I'd love to sew some pretty clothes for my own dolls too, since some of them are totally without any clothing, Gentle bodied boys do need some jeans or trousers. And Minifee girls will need some nice clothes too.

I still would need to photograph some clothes to my Etsy shop. I have quite a lot of things that didn't sell at LDoll and some of the stuff has been around for quite a while. I'd love to get rid of the SD boy jeans, maybe I should borrow a Super Gem from a friend and get few photos... *sigh* SD boy jeans or trousers are clearly something I shouldn't sew since they don't sell. And I have loads of stuff I should photograph and put up for sale at our forum... Somehow they just pile up. And are really difficult to get rid off.


Leni and Bijou got some new stuff from Dollheart Fukuburo's I bougth with a friend. Bijou got a new wig, but I'm certainly keeping the fuzzy wig for her/him too. Bijou doesn't know who s/he is yet.

I got some really nice wigs from the Fukuburo and theyyy just might need some little Lati's to fill them up. Do Lati wigs fit to Pukifee...? I could get one of those too, since I don't yet have any... yet.

Tinyfairy Robin Arrival

I had two pairs of 16mm eyes from Enchanted doll which I bought from LDoll last year, I thougth 16mm would be too big, but actually it was perfect! I chose him these pale blue ones. He looks great! I already dressed the Cafe Bluefairy outfit on him, Áron will need another set of clothes since I think these will be good on Marcus (Robin). Marcus is Mimosa's big brother. They don't have a close relationship... Need to think about it more. ^^

In other news. Bluefairy has announced TF Gus and TF Xiao to become limited head molds after the stock has sold out. EEEEK. I think I need to go and buy a Gus head. I've been wanting to have ns Gus for ages and I should go and buy one NOW. Maybe I will. x_x

Christmas and Stuff

Okay, so Christmas was and went, I spend time with my siblings and parents and had a really great time with them too. I missed them a lot. At Kainuu there at least was some snow, which we don't have here in the capital city and it already made me feel more Christmassy than anything else. I made a big snow lantern which had a candle inside, twice, becouse it had been so wet and sloppy that the first one collapsed down. I hoped it would last the Christmas eve and it did.



There was a candle inside to make it glow beautifully. ^^ Also, we had a Christmas tree, I decorated it with my sister. That's another tradition.
In all, I had a great time with them. Did nothing but ate, slept and surfed (yikes) mostly. I don't know, I could've taken the time off the net, but as the weather there was so wet I couldn't really spend my time outside either. I didn't bring any dolls or books but I managed to take few naps, which was nice and followed what the kitty did (she mostly napped too).

I saw the Hobbit - Desolation of Smaug at New Years eve with my boyfriend and we also went to cinema on Sunday (Gravity) and today to see Frankenstein, which was really great encore from London National Theatre. Fabulous. All in all, this year has began with style. I'm waiting what new things it will bring.

LDoll 5 is going to be again on October, that's going to be exiting. I'm hoping a lot of people will attend, it's been getting better and better event every year. I've already began sewing and slowly I'll sew few pieces for LDoll and few pieces for Etsy. I've decided to devide my sewings a little bit, since there's been quite much of people asking about certain things. I'm happy and surprised about that to be honest. Really amazing that people really wish to buy things I've sewn. Thank you all who have faved my shop or went to see what's it about. ^^

I got back my Pukipuki Ante from Jesmoth and man! Did she do what I asked, YES and a lot more!


Meet Butterfly, or Bug to friends. I asked for a Blue Morpho butterfly on her face, I guess I was quite spesific and Bug came out perfect! Jesmoth also painted a teeny tiny butterfly tattoo at her back. FABULOUS!



I am beyond happy, and can't wait to see how beautiful are the rest of the heads I gave her for face up. I'm wanting Juri 08 to be like she was, SA Hound to have a basic guy face up with thick eyebrows, Juri 13 to have a bit of gothy look on her and for Dark Elf Soo I gave a reference photo, but hoped she'd do similar eyebrows but do it more of her own style. Ah, they're going to be so pretty! All of them! I'm also pondering about the Fairyland order, when to make it. I know I need to wait until the next pay to come and then... BANG. At least Irma is going to have a body, I don't know for sure if I want to order a body for Juri 13 (whom I named Hortensia) yet. I would love to, since there's an event gift (greedy little monkey I am) at Fairyland still for a while and I'd have one rolling head less, until the gift would roll in... I need to count my finances really closely and think think think about it.

In all, the upcoming doll-year is looking promising with the Pupa*Casa white order Robin coming sometime during the spring. I'm not holding my breath, I'm sure they got huge amount of orders and that's going to take time to sort out. I asked Turbow to add some items for my order, few shoes and a wig. Not that I drooled for their other items, like dolls (Cafe Bluefairy Kate and Coyly June) and more shoes and accessories, clothes.. basicly everything she has in her stock. Lunar Fairy Coyly June is my highest interest, I'd be curious to see her body and compare it to the other bodies I have around. Also, Pocket Fairies have been around to interest me for long. I actually bougth Kissing Minimay back recently so Anni came home without the clothes set, but I was lucky to snatch it from elsewhere. Way to go me. I've been lucky in many things, I'm no more a rental force at my work but they hired me finally and even tough I'm not exited about the evening shift it's definitely better to be hired by the company instead of rental employers firm. And yay, steady income is always nice. ^^ Exiting year coming up!

Angelregion - Soom - Bluefairy Collaboration

The thing is.. I've already got two dolls on layaway (Bon Voyage Hana and WWN Sarang) and I'm short with finances ANYWAY since summer holiday is on it's way and I'm going to have to travel back home which is expensive even if we'll get to borrow so's parent's car. So this is more like.. pondering if I could somehow get some magical money from somewhere. :P

I really like both Somang and Robin. I do like their clothes too, but as usual, I could split them away. I've already had a little chat with my friend about the split issue of (mainly) Somang's clothes, if I do buy one of them. x_x MAN. I do love Misty Rose resin! And they're both wonderful! And AR accepts layaway plans. Robin would be in my priority list no 1 at the moment, since I'd love to have a Gentle body boy with MR resin and Robin is really pretty in that! He would make a whole lot better big brother for Mimosa than white Gus. I need to think about this a lot. I don't know if I'd afford any of them at the moment but gladly I've got some time to think. Need to do a lot of thinking now.

They say in the site that the waiting time for such doll would be 60 -70 business days and that is quite long time. Maybe Soom/AR has to wait until all ordered dolls are prepaired and face upped until they'll produce the clothing? I actually don't mind about the long waiting, I'm kinda used to that with Soom and I think it is good to have a bit longer wait. ^^; Kinda get used to the thought about having a new doll and preparing your home ... or arrange some space in the show case for them... Anyway. Gotta think about this. Falling for some new ED eyes is not helping my situation. :P


Natalia has ED #48 and Tilda has ED #21. I was a bit .. well not happy with the actual colours since the blue was more blue than I thought (and was prepaired for) and grey wasn't having the hint of blue that I thought it would. Anyway, I got over my desappointment as soon as I got the eyes on them. ^^ I was thinking to swithc them vise versa, but remembered that Turbow's Miu (Olive) has those bright blue eyes and didn't want to be a copycat of doom. :P Even if they're not the same number. I think grey suits Natalia and Tilda looks absolutely adorable with blue. ^^
