Being Busy

Ooo how busy I've been lately! I haven't had time or light to photograph at all this week, and that's a bummer isn't it. I'm hoping I'll have some light on Sunday so I can photograph Sylvia and Jaya since I changed their outfits to do so earlier but I just didn't have time or light. Man it's been dark! And now it's raining, boohoo.

Anyway, been busy with things and visited an event at Messukeskus today. They had pet expo, country expo, outlet expo and handcrafting and such things going on. There were stuff for sale as well as supplies and things. I really loved the bunnies especially! We had a rabbit when I was a kid and how cute she was. We also took a little tour seeing rats, dogs, cats and other animals there was. They had also agility for rabbits and that what super adorable. I bought a minicupcake tin, and paper cups for it and some faaabulous fabrics. I kinda went crazy with them and I bought several pieces. I tried to pick some blue and a green one since I don't have much of those color fabrics. Hopefully I'm able to sew something from them soon. :D Me and my friend were really overwhelmed about the amount of people so we only walked around the pet expo and handcrafting areas. That was well enough and we decided to go home. :)

Sewed some clothes for Lukas (Louis) and Leo (Gus). Both have new pants, and I will sew some other garments to go. Lukas will have a shirt, I've already cut pieces to a darkish grey but was thinking that maybe white would work better with the ocra yellow pants and black cardigan. I have no idea what colour I should use for Leo since his wig is almost the same color that the grey is so I think I can't use that. I want to have some kind of colorful stripe on the front. Similar to Tobias' shirt but with colorful panel. That would be great! Only needing to decide the colors.


They have a button on front, but I didn't photograph that yet.

I've invited some friends to visit at Tobias's birthday meet, that's actually also a 10 year anniversary of sort, kinda celebrating my 10th year in BJD hobby. I've reserved a meeting place from our building, they're the kind of free of charge spaces where people can arrange meets, parties or such events. I've seen the place once, and I hope it will be good for us. ^__^ I don't yet know what we will do except for looking at dolls, but I'm trying to arrange some sort of photographing place for them and then.. propably just random chatting and admiring dolls. And eating, I'll definitely bake something. I will bring some dolls in to the meet but not all. ^^; That would be too much, even if it is our celebration. LOL. Two more weeks before the actual celebration and I should be making some paper hats. :D I asked if people would put a paperhat on their dolls, that'd be fun. So exited to have this little meeting, if the meet place will be good I might have more meets there.

Also, I sewed a pencil skirt that I really liked and wanted to make a hat to go with it but dang I failed the hat. xD That was sad, I can take a photo from it tomorrow but the brim (?) is too wide and too floppy, it should've been shorter and turn more down so it would've looked better. There's no more of that fabric so that can't be helped. Maybe I'll find out a way to save the hat. :D we'll see.

Well, I haven't yet gotten back to my "photo a day" challenge for myself. But I'm going to try! :D Today, Tobias got new ED eyes. I've been looking for some new eyes for him for a while. I do like the Kanis Augens that I had for him, but I was looking for something more hazelnutty shade of brown. These are perfect. ^___^ My first doll! And look how pretty he still is! :D These eyes are ED # 42.

Soon, Group Shot

I've been having some lack of interest with doll stuff lately. But today was a good day and I began to dress my dolls again. ^^; Some of them had been naked for sewing purposes and I hadn't had any interest to put them into clothes for a long time. Maybe since LDoll? And that's... quite a while back. Today I finally got into it. It's been really nice actually! I think my dolls now need something, like I think Jaya definitely needs a ruffly skirt like Sylvia has and I'm sure Kaisla would like to have some white clothes... I kinda want to dress her in white for winter, maybe becouse it was wintery weather when she first arrived. ^^ I remember taking pics from her outside my childhood home. And it is the time of Tobias' birthday.. 21st of November he had been with me for 6 years. ;w; Time flies when you have fun. He is still as adorable as he was when I got him. So, it is time for new groupshot? I am going to try to take one this weekend. ^^ Wish me luck!

Tobias - Five Years Of Cute

Yesterday was Tobias' birthday. ^^ He is such a darling! I took some pictures of him with the others, but I - of course - forgot to take a group shot. :P And a picture with Nikolas. Gah. And when I was uploading the pictures to my Photobucket, my laptop decided it has overheated and it turned off. So Yay.



Ah, the season of winter and dark and craptastic photoes. I'll post the other pictures later. ^^

New Eyes

Uhhuh, I've been in a good row of buying eyes for my dolls. I participated in two group orders lately, first was in Hand Glass Craft and other to Kanis-Augen. Both brands are really good quality and very much for my liking.


Natalia finally got The Eyes that she needed. I love this blue on her. She does look really good. And cute! These are from Hand Glass Craft, 16mm light blue regular round. They got a bit long sticks at the back, but I don't mind about that.











Tobias' eyes are from Kanis-Augen. I do like the Kanis eyes even tough they are mouthblown and thus more fragile than other kind of eyes. I think these are the perfect colour for Tobias. ^^ These are called round topaz dark.









These were not all of the eyes I ordered. I had a couple of other pairs from both firms, but this time I didn't change others than Nat's and Tobi's. The nice thing in Kanis-Augen eyes is that they have low dome like my TF's need to have. I do hope there'll be some more go's in there. ^^ It'd be really nice to have some more eyes from there.

*sigh* There's still no word from Mimosa. :/ I wish she'll come next week?

How To Change Eyes for Tinyfairy

Well, this is just a teeny tutorial for new BF owners for changing the eyes. ^^ Silly maybe but I really liked to make this. Tobias was sooo cute. =w= My little helper.


Tobias: Today we learn how to change eyes from Tinyfairy, like me. :3


Tobias: First of all, be sure that this is quite easy thing to do, and we love our new eyes!


Tobias: I need to take off my wig for this, I apologize for the inconvenience. ^^'

Tobias: Like so.


Hold on tight behind the ears with one hand and from the headcap with the other. If you have nails, use them to lure between the cap and the head.


Hold tight from both and lure the headcap off the head. The S-hook is attached to a metal loop inside the headcap.


I usually just place the headback carefully to the back of the neck and change the eyes, but if you want to pull the headcap of, then just pull the S-hook until you have enough string to remove the headback from the S-hook.


You can see the back of the eyes and putty there inside the head. (My TF's heads are modded so usually the hole there is just round.) Bluefairy's own putty is almost the same colour as the normal skin dolls. It is reuseable but I've used this white tack with my dolls.


I use fingertip, wrong end of old spoon, hairpin, what ever to dig out the putty.


So there. ^^ The eye has been removed.


I choose an eye I want to put in, make a donut from the putty/tack and place the eye in the middle. *Tadaah*


Just put the eye in and carefully squish in the putty so that it sticks in the head. Remember to look at the eye from the right side for the good positioning of the eye. ^^

I thought I'd introduce my dolls for you, one by one.

Here is my first Bluefairy doll, Tinyfairy Jerome - Tobias. I bought him trough a friend back at November 2005, she was kind enough to let me join in her order while she purchased a Kyle. Tobias came to me as a basic doll, only with make up and eyes in his head. Woodoo had given me the measurements for shirt and trousers from her old Jerome, so I made my boy some clothes before he was sent to me. He was sooo cute when I opened the box. Woodoo had dressed him up and he was so cute and bald since I didn't have a wig for him.


I had hoped to get the school outfit BF had for their Special sets back then but didn't have the finances when it was time to order the dolls. Finally, I got one set of the boy school uniform as a gift from BF with another doll. ^^

Background story:
Tobias was orphaned while he was around 10 years old. He lived together with his parents butler and a housekeeper in a big cold house for several years and thought he was all alone in the world. While after his 16th birthday, he found out that his mother had a sister who later came to see Tobias and moved in with him. Tobias' mother and father left a will, which said that Tiffany is to take care of him and the property. Tiffany is paid a little and they can live freely in any of the big mansions or such as they want. His auntie Tiffany takes care of his big estate and even tough they could use some of Tobias' finances for living, Tiffany decided to pay everything from her own wage. The pay is enough to support two people. Tobias likes his aunt a lot, and she does love him very much. They have a good relationship as auntie and nephew.
