Tiffany - Luts Delf Miyu 21/24

I had been watching Luts site forever and ever and ever. I really liked all the dolls, somehow their features were a bit Elfquesty if you know what I mean (if you don't, google that). Lishe and El among DES are the ones with most Elfquest features and I love that, but my attention got Miyu with the attitude eyebrows before they changed them to the sorry-eyebrows. SO! Tiffany is my second doll and she came to me back at February 2006. Name she got becouse Tiffany jewelry things or what ever. It was a really nice name and it fits her.

Not the best shots, the first ones, but the light is a difficult thing around these times and I did try to photograph her as beautiful as she is. Winter time and dark evenings make things so frustrating. The photos come better towards the end I think. Tiffany is wearing a dress, necklace and socks made by me. Being sick and all, feels like this is correct thing to do right now. I've cought a cold and I just barely got rid of the previous one. I had a sickday on friday and I still feel quite bad. I'll try to go to work tomorrow but if that doesn't work I'll need to get more sick leave. GAH! I hate having a cold. Never seems to go off fast enough. Anyway, only thing it gives me is time to rest and think about things. So much going on IRL, I don't go there anymore in this blog, but need to think something else. SO! It's perfect time for making another post of 25 Tags!

A random wish list you say! Well! I presume it means what I'd wish otherwise, not related to dollies. Random wishes includes a bureau if that's what it's called. Like so, this item is from Stemma, it is not quite what I was looking for but I kinda like it. I would love to get a bureau thingy and get rid of our Ikea ugliness. I hate them, they are the sort that you should put on your garage and not in your crafting room. We both have so much stuff it would be great to hide them somewhere. Ikea might have something suitable for our taste, but I really like the style when the lid is darker and the actual drawer parts are either white or cream.

This is my bag, my bag is Marimekko Urbaani bag, I bought it few years ago. I wanted something colorful and picked this fuchsia pink bag, my other choise would've been brown but I wanted more color. It has two reflectors, one is tied to the shoulder strap, it is the kind that I can easily remove when I need it and put it around my wrist. Even when we have snow it can be quite dark around places where are street lights. I don't want the bus driver to go past me. :D I should have one reflector hanging from my pocket but I don't at the moment, haven't found any ones that would be nice. Yet.

My Big Matryoshka

Gosh! Sorry for the long silence, I was visiting my parents at Kainuu during Christmas and just came back home on Sunday. My sister was also with me so I didn't want to waste our time together on internet alone. ^__^ I was debating about if I'll take a doll with me and this time I did! I took Tiffany as a travelling companion, she did travel in my bag tough. :D There was a lot of rain, little snow and finally few colder days with some fresh snow which made me really happy. I had missed snow so much and even the cold weather, it kills germs I think, and it is great that it's cold in Helsinki now too. ( XD I'm propably only one who thinks like that). Anyway, few photos of Tiffany! They are highly repetitive but I couldn't choose only few. ^^ She's so beautiful!

Hartsilapset Little Christmas Meet

Yesterday was a fun day, we had our annual Little Christmas meeting in Helsinki and it was great! I think that the place we had this time was better than the one we had earlier, just becouse this was smaller and there wasn't the furthest corner so very far from others that someone could hide themself in there. It was nice to meet new people, but especially the friends you don't often meet. Everybody brings some foods or drinks, I don't know who brings in the baby carrots but I really like them! Our meet was in school where one of us is teaching, so that's a big advantage for us, it might be difficult to get all of us in a cafe or something since there are quite many people wanting to come. I guess there were around 30 people this time. I know my social meter is filled quite fast nowadays, I wonder why? Maybe it is becouse the work stress or so? Anyway, to the photos. I try to write something about the dolls if I remember who they belong!

Dresses

I finished Tiffany's dress, I'm not excactly sure she'll keep it but I really like it so I guess she can wear it for now. Some photos.

I also made her a little necklace. All of my big girls would need more shoes, so they're now without. I'd have some shoes for them, but none would fit the style of this dress. Which of course means I'd have to buy more shoes for them HAHA. Ahem.

I also sewed a dress for Mikiko, I really liked this fabric a lot, it's very pretty and fabulously enough there was some dark brown lace too!

Today I began sewing a dress for Akiko, but I still need to work with it tomorrow. The bust is somehow too big from the sides so I need to see if I can do some tricks to it. Otherwise I'm really wanting to try to use as much fabrics as I can. I've made a clearance for them, too thick, ugly and such fabrics from quite long time will move to my aunties place. She's and artist and does a lots of crafting so I'm sure she can use at least some of them. The rest can be thrown to the trashbin. :P Anyway, trying to sew as much new stuff for my own dolls now. Hopefully I'll be able to sew for the new girls too. I still need to pay one part of it on Wednesday and then she'll be mine. OHOHOHOHOOO. Gosh. I hope I'll like the Moe body! I do love the Minifee size version a lot. The head, don't know what to do with it yet. Maybe I'll keep her, but the body is what I needed. I'm so eagerly waiting fof the heads to come from the artist. :D

Doll events

So, LDoll has been postponed to next year, 2016 and that feels like forever waiting for it. I'm definitely wanting to participate in LDoll 6 with my stuff and I've planned to sew much things there. BUT, there's going to be a doll event closer to Finland on September. There's going to be a doll event at Gothenburg, Sweden. Jointed Hearts event will be at Gothenburg September 5th and 6th. The thing is, lack of LDoll this year would be fantastic chance to participate in the event in Sweden, being so close (gosh, straight flights from Helsinki!!!) would make it even easier to participate. I don't speak swedish, I understand a little when I read but I'm sure I could get along with english. I haven't yet translated all things to myself yet, lazying around about it. Iplehouse, Little Monica and seems like Luts has joined in also to this event. Need to think about it, if I'd really want to go and buy something I would've needed to save quite a bit. From last LDoll I know for sure that I'd need around 1000€ for shopping only. XD I'm sure I couldn't get enough stuff sewn to participate as a seller, but I don't know if they even want to have people from other countries to sell stuff. I also have my summer holiday planned to that time, and I should go and visit my parents for few weeks at that time. And I don't have money for shopping either. A lots of thinking to do!

Other things: Took few doll photos today from my Tinyfairy girls (some of them) and last weekend I photographed my Minifee girls. ^^

I'm going to spend next weekend sewing doll clothes, I've gotten so much stuff to and people to meet these days I haven't really had time for ME. And that's going to be corrected next weekend.

Random Doll Talk

I'm intrigued by the Tinyfairy Neo body. I find them interesting. I'd want to handle some to decide how much I like them. I actually was looking at one older Kid Delf body I have borrowed from a friend (I thought about buying it but it was too different in color to the head tried on it, and no it was not TF). I quite liked that body. And the TF body has similar qualities in it. Need to think about that.

Been sewing again, for Tiffany, not a surprise. If you follow me on Instagram you already know I sewed her a coat, big sparkly from glowing white velvety fabric with gold print on it. The piece of that fabric has just been around for long, there just could be a piece big enough for some sort of coat for MSD size doll too... I'd need to make some patterns and try it out. With velvet the thing is that you can only cut it one way and pieces might look strange if not cut in correct way. Maybe it would look OK. Might not want to try that, hopefully there is enough for another coat in MSD size. ^^ Would be fabulous!





I've been wanting to make a pattern to this kind of coat in Delf size for long and now I need to adjust the patterns a little and then begin sewing some for LDoll next year!

Gosh what big news, not to have the journey to Lyon again this year at all! How strange is that. I'm a tad bit disappointed, but I think for me it is kinda relieve becouse I haven't got too much time to sew when I have free time. Having more time means I'm going to be so busy sewing for my own dolls a little bit more. Hopefully I'll have time and energy to sew at least a pair of socks to everybody. LOL. And I'm sure I'll be equally as busy with the sewing for LDoll 6 as for others too. I might even check out some other events, Dolls & Party at Barcelona, or the Dolls Rendez-vous in Paris also. Need to think. D&P is definitely too close to be able to attend with booth and Dolls Rendez-Vous is quite close to Christmas so I'm not sure if I could attend there either. Maybe just a year (almost two) off from any events. Don't know, I'd really like to go somewhere but need to really think about it.

Made the decicion to add all my dolls in my "Hartsikanta" at HL forum, that's database just for one owners dolls. I've had mine, but I didn't put all things there, I don't know what I was afraid of, but I kinda "forgot" it for quite a while. When I got my Twing-Key back last year I missed all the information I had from her there. The Important Dates, of arrival and such, those things are important to me and I've filled a little book of all my dolls. So I updated my Database and surprise and fixed them all in there according to the date of the arrival (of the head, if there's not a body), there were 55 individual posts if I count in the first where I've put in Tobias. Alas, there are many head only's at the moment. But I hope the bodies will be bought later, I need to think about these things more, their styles and such.

Have a photo of Irma and Orion-maybe. I'm not sure about the name, I like this face so much! But I'm definitely not sure about the name. I think Nanuri 14 could be a cool guy, but in the other hand, a very pretty girl too! Someone at DoA asked for a comparison so I took a quick one from them. I love Siean's beautiful pointy ears.

Ebony & Florestan

Last weekend we went to Roihuvuori to attend Hanami - Cherry blossom ... ummm observing occasion? THING. It was a lots of fun. I met many friends and took some dolls with me, took some photos. It was great!
