LDoll 3

The weekend at Lyon was fantastic. I hadn't been as exited as other years, it had been so overwhelming with the shut down of the old workplace, finding a new job and stressing about basicly everything. I DID find a new job and was only unemployed for three weeks. I cought a cold and it was the worst at the first day my new job started and yet two weeks to go to LDoll. Eventually, I'm so glad the flu went away and I still got some stuff finished before leaving to France. I now post some photos, I wish I'd know how to make a similar cut as in Livejournal, but anyway... to few photos.. And then link to my Flickr for more. ^^ I'll pick up few photos here later.

Bluefairy booth. I went back for several times. xD No surprise? It was great to see some of the molds in real, Yuri was more beautiful and Sam, I really want a ShinyFairy Sam lot more now.

Shoes and parts! I bought many pairs of shoes (btw, the ShinyFairy flat shoes go nicely on Soom TeenieGems too, my Bygg now has shoes! Yay!).

There was so much stuff and fantastic artists, I have to say that these:

Dust Of Doll tinies were so charming it is very hard to resist their cuteness. Uhhuh... I might just end up with one of these if I look them too much! My friend bought one and for my surprise, the PocketFairy panties I've sewn fit these perfectly. ;)

Even tough I first thought that I wouldn't participate as an exhibitor next year I might have to say now, after the event and after this years stress is over becouse I have a job, I think I will attend next year too... It was so much fun and great to see other hobbyists and old friends. ^^ Special thanks to little Aiy for her help in our booth. ^^ It was great to have her with us there.

I sold the unpainted set of MSD-furniture the first day, too bad the Pipos Dali and the painted set didn't sell. (Dali was sold at our Finnish forum ;) she just went to see LDoll first). I had painted and varnished the second set of furniture with basic acrylic paint from a craftstore, painted with cracling laquer and then painted with white paint AND basic crafting laquer on top. The venue hall was so damp after first night the surface of the painted furniture felt really weirdly sticky or so, it didn't stick to the dolls or anything but it felt like it. I thought that was weird, becouse back at home the furniture surface is normal, clear and feels smooth. Maybe the dampness of the building got to it? All the paper stuff was damp after the saturday-sunday night. Anyway, I've got few ideas for the next year. Maybe some SD size things too... if my dad has time to help me with them. ^^

LDoll 3 - almost at the finishing touches

Well, these jeans are finished already. I have three of them for sale at LDoll, but my stock has other style of jeans in various sizes. Photos of everything later.

I still have much to do! I'm going to start my new job with fancy ninja-suit (I'm SO gonna look like a teletubby xD) at next week on Tuesday so I'm in a hurry! There's still a lot to do, packaging, ironing, making the labels, not to mention I have to paint one set of the MSD furniture I made with dad... This year (like last year) I'm not having any real business cards like I'd wanted, but I really can't help that anymore. :P Maybe some other time. Sewing to this kind of event, having kicked out from my old job, sewing trought summer and trying to find new job (I'm so glad I found!!) has really been tiring. After Ldoll is over and I can truly concentrate on the normal life for some time it will all be OK. I'm not going to attend to the LDoll as exhibitor next year. (And yes, I'm sure there'll be the next one too). I'm just going to shop!

Sewing Sewing Sewing ~

So that's something I've been sewing last weeks. Panties. Different sizes, I'm not sure which size I should sew more, so I'm having some of all sizes. Once I was asked if the panties I sew fit boys too. Why not! I know somewhere out there is at least one boy Delf who has panties sewn by me. Mighty fancy big girl panties they are. ;) Gotta think about the correct price for them too... Kinda tiny things, but really it's more work than I expected. :P

Also, I got a job. I'll have a little over a week to finish my LDoll sewings basicly, I'll get more information of the work on Monday. So exiting future awaits.

Things to do:

- sew the last of the panties, decorate
- paint one set of the MSD furniture
- make somekind of background for the booth table Café
- sew some skirts
- sew some t-shirts
- forget the EID/Supergem/big guys in generel. You don't need those clothes to hang around if you don't sell.
- price tags, bags, things, remember to write things down. LIST.

LDoll 2012 - More Information

Do I need to say more! This is fantastic! xD

Actually few months ago, I had a dream about LDOll and that BF really was there and I couldn't just speak a word of English! I tried to tell them which dolls I have and how much I am their biggest fan! xD It didn't work out at all! MAN! Something I've been hoping since the first LDoll event was at Lyon. European event, fantastic! ^__^

No much to update

Seems like the summer here in Finland was most likely a week long, separate one warm and sunny day at the time. :P How boring is that! I know I burned my face at least three times, but still I do like summer weather and warm. I know there's long, damn long winter coming along so some summer would've been nice. :P

No much to update, like the topic says. I'm sewing those one shoulder tops at the moment, I try to have a variation in colour. So far I've sewn two turqoise with that text print, two flowery, two black polkadot in natural white, one black and one black with grey print. I'm hoping to sew more today and then move to some other items. I'm not sure if I want to sew some t-shirts, maybe, but I'd definitely need more fashionable fabric for them than I did last time. I've also photographed the things I've made, so that if I have time left I'll make myself a little book where you can see most of the clothes. That's not a bad thing to see how the clothes look like on doll.

I wasn't going to buy another doll before Emilie... but I kinda fell for the Lati Yellow trap. A friend was selling this tan Kuroo (The sheep from Le Petit Prince Limited) and MAN I did love those blushy chubby cheeks when I first saw this series at Lati site. ^^

Anyway, she doesn't have a wig yet, or clothes, or anything... But I'll do my best to fill that hole with in.. half year. I suggested a trade with a friend and we still need to talk about details. ^^ I'm sewing her Littlefee jeans ans she'll sew me a wig. ^^ Some wonderful fluffy wig! She does fabulous job, SweetNeat, and has a shop in etsy too. I highly recommend if you want to have a mohair wig, her wigs are full and pretty!

This of course means that I can't buy Tinyfairy Emilie and the stuff I would've needed... Maybe after LDoll, I hope I'll sell much stuff there so I'm able to buy things. I have something saved for the event, but not as much as I'd like... so this goes like last year. Still few months to go and I wish we could have more information of things, like the proffessional names so we could make a plan what to buy. I know there'll be a representative from Enchanted Doll eyes and Dollheart since both representatives are my friends.

Ah, some coffee for this morning and then back to the sewing machine... ^^ I really like those bubbly one shoulder tops. Maybe I should make a pattern for SD size dolls too. It would be fun!

LDoll 2012 - Bubbly One Shoulder Top

And our model today is *tadaaah* Jesmoth's lovely grumpy Minifee Marcia! ^^ I'm sure I'll get my own Minifee someday, just so difficult to choose!

I'll sew these in different fabrics, this model is quite loose and bubbly. I might do variations of it too. ^^ yay.

I really want a new body for Irma, she might fill my Minifee need since I don't really know about the heads. Irma's head is Kid Delf, and it would match OK with the FL normal skin. I guess. Ah how pretty! ^^

Dresses - LDoll 2012 Prewiev

So finally, after sewing the little bloomers whole day yesterday I now present you; the most adorable set of dresse I'VE ever made. I must say I'm very happy how they turned out. ^^ All sets have a dress and bloomers, and I've taken one set of each print for my own dolls. :3 I'm happy about this solution! ^^ So much to do still!

Bluefairy - Marine Scout

Yes yes, I saw their notice a long while back but I was travelling for Midsummer festival time to my boyfriends parent's home so I couldn't really make any posts about the Limited release. And there's been other things in my mind so here we go...

I love that they make Kyle for this, but I'm a tad bit disappointed they didn't make another boy instead of May girl. It would've been fabulous to have two boys, I think with any other boy mold I'd be really happy. I do love these as they are, a boy and a girl, but man it would've been fabulous to have two boys from which to pick your favourite. :P I did how ever pick Kyle, and sent my reservation email for them already when I came back from my little visit. If I'll be able to snatch him, he will be my first boy with the Gentle body, all of the others are either with Boy or Dandy. I'm a bit exited about it, looong legs. Gentle body hasn't been a great success, I've only heard that with all the extra length with the legs he is a bit difficult to keep poses, and he wants to curve his body a lot with them. I'm a bit worried about the standing. Other bodies stand like a rock when you just plop them on standing position! Tinyfairies are the sturdiest standers (?) I know, so maybe wiring will be helpfull with this guy... But now I'm getting ahead of things.. again.. Don't think about the name before having paid the doll. :P

Hopefully anyone who wanted baked dolls will be able to have one (or three as they wish). My friend has been waiting for baked Kyle for years! xD She's talked about it so much that I hope she'll be able to get him! I wish I'd have enough money to buy May too (yes I'm a greedy little bugger, didn't you already know that?), but since I already have three Mays, she's not the first in the list. (Yes, three, Sylvia (May) and Mimosa and Elle (May Valentines). Hopefully a Kyle will be available for me. :P Miio is going to be sooo jealous, he has thought he's the most handsome dude in the planet. He might be short but his ego is big.

Oh and I have to mention; Hong Kong Dollism Plus 7 is going to have Sugar & Pepper size tanned dolls. Friend of mine (actually two of them) were really bummed about it, so hopefully someday those will be sold Internationally too. ;3 Be careful what you wish for, it might come true.

I'm back at sewing for LDoll now that I don't have to go to work anymore. I've got tons of things to sew, I've only managed to add my stock very little since the beginning of the year. MAN. I'm so screwed at the venue if I don't manage to have at least a 100 proper items. I already have something, but I do need so much MORE! I'll post some photos later of somethings I've sewn, I need to sew some bloomers before I can take any photos. ^^

I think I mainly sew MSD stuff this year, the SD things didn't sell as well so maybe I'll only do few things for that size. MSD and Petite (we say in here that YOSD size is petite, that differs them from other Tinies and we don't want to use YoSD as word for them...? So I was told xD and other people don't have any clue when we're talking about petite as a size...).

Shiny Girls ~~

I knew I regretted not bringing any of my dolls with me when I travelled to my parent's home last week. I was missing them so much! And would've been nice to take few photos there. Next time I'll take few, maybe dad will fix up some more furniture with me. It would be great! Anyway, I was at Kainuu again to keep my mom company while my dad was having a rehabilitation for his back and knee. (He's as flexible as an iron bar!). I haven't had time or strength to do doll things lately. I missed my dolls more than I thought I would and man it was great to come home to play with them! xD SO! Here's few photos of my Shiny girls. ^^ All of them will keep the dress they have on and I will need to sew some snaps and things on them. ^^ I think they look fabulous!


Odessa finally got some change of eyes and a wig on her head. The eyes are Hand Glass Craft Mauve 14mm and her wig is actually Noelle's default, which will change later. I participated in Leeke GO and ordered her a Maroon coloured wig in that similar style. I think she'll look fabulous in it! ^^


Noelle is so adorable. I thought I might switch her wig to something darker but I kinda like this really pale blonde one she has. She looks so cute. And I can always switch it back to her default which I like too. ^^ I did order her some ED eyes earlier, I hope they'll arrive soon. ^^


Kiki is so sweet, this pink dress really suits her! ^^ I really like her wig and eyes a lot and I'm not going to change them soon, I'm thinking to update her eyes but to which colour! That's hard to decide but it's not relevant at the moment! She looks cute like she is. ^^


All need simple bloomers to go with these dresses, and I'll sew some more for the sets I make to LDoll for sale.
LDoll is definitely coming and we now have booked our flights and hotel. Booth was reserved and paid ages ago and I still don't think I have enough things sewn! I'm a bit worried about the time, but I hope I'll have time to do things on summerholiday. Only three weeks of work! That'll go fast! I'm waiting for the holidays so much, these past months have been stressing me a lot, I just can't get away from my job fast enough. And begin sewing and photographing my dolls. :D Yay!

Ldoll - More WIP Dresses

Pocketfairy, Shinyfairy and Latidoll Yellow. The hem of Lati dress is too long, I will adjust the measurement of hem piece in the next batch but so far, this dress will be like it is. ^^ I'll add some beads, rosettes or things too. To make them as a full set I'll make panties/bloomers to go with it. Maybe if I'll find some natural coloured whiteish jersey I'll add some socks in too...

Sick days.. hopefully over them?

I cross my fingers I'll have my strength back. And I'll sew tomorrow. I had totally forgotten these photos I took a while back. I had been sewing for LDoll and Noelle is modelling the denim skirt I've sewn. I'll try to finish the rest of the denims tomorrow and hopefully will have a chance to do totally something else besides the jeans. They're beginning to bug me and that's not a good thing. I don't want to switch the thread to my sewing machine until I've finished them. xP I'll need to do some digging to my fabric storage also. Maybe some jersey stuff coming too?

Ball-Jointed-Europe

We know we have Den of Angels, very well working doll forum where everyone can go. But it is really difficult to notice all events that are going on in Europe and spot the marketplace for things inside Europe. There's now created a place for everything, it is called http://bjd-europe.dailyforum.net/ and it's open to register. They especially wish that artists are showing their own dolls there. ^________^ Nice!

They're hoping to get people from all Europe to register. Language is english, maybe becouse that's something which is mostly used in internet. :3 I'm glad! Already joined in and advertised it a little in our finnish forums irc channel #Hartsilapset and forum itself!

These jeans are work in progress. Model is B-line Minifee girl and they're even tight for her! I'm making some boy MNF clothes too. :3 And also, many sizes will be available again. ^^

Sewing - Finally Started

I finished sewing of all six pairs of jeans today and whacked in the snaps too (yes, I'm putting in the non-sewing snaps this time ;)). I was happy about the results, even if the MSD size jeans became Minifee girl size, preferably the A line, even if they fit for Irma's old B-line MNF body OK... I'm going to check the pattern and resize it to fit Minifee muscular boy which I borrowed from Immarre. ^^ The jeans were the ones I photographed a WIP photo earlier, I'm glad I finally got them done.

So far done for LDoll:

3 Minifee girl jeans - light blue denim

1 Shinyfairy / Littlefee mini skirt - light blue denim

AND bunch of old. Not much yet, but I guess I do have time to sew during the summer, despite the time I'm going to spend with my parents at north. I hate to waste time doing nothing so maybe dad and I will get into making more furniture... And I can't bring my sewing machine there, so I prefer to have something interesting and productive to do! >_> I just can't BE for two weeks doing nothing!

I should try my hand on Lati Yellow size trousers and jeans too, since Leni seems to wish to have some really cute jeans for herself. She's demanding, and Ofelia would propably like them too... They're just so small so I'm a bit afraid about sewing for them. I'll be sewing on weekend too, but I need to meet some friends and that takes time. I don't want to neglect my friends but I do need time for just sewing. :P Work takes out a major part of day and then I should cook and .. well I've just left the cleaning for a while.. Workdays are always tiring, even if there's not much to do there.

As I got fired, us who have long term of notice have those.. "work getting days?", so difficult to translate better than that. I have basicly 20 days (1 day per week or so) to use for trying to find a new job, you don't have to prove what you've been doing during that day that you have, so I presume I'm not the only one who's being creative at their days, checking jobs at the web and stuff hardly takes 8 hours. Of course it would be great if you can find a new job straight away, but that also means you'll loose your summerholiday and such.. :P What I mean is that you will propably have a chance to have a holiday you've earned, but not in the summertime if you switch the job. *sigh* Trying to find a job while working and not be motivated for your current job is very tiring. I know I've gained weight too, and that stresses me even more.

I'm so happy to have my dolls... They always cheer me up. ^^

I do love them so much, and I'm plotting to have some day White Skin girl with black hair, since I already have one with red and one with blonde(ish) wig. ^^ So black haired girl with very fair skin would complete the collection right? Well, we'll see later, some day maybe but she's not the first in my list. ^^

Long time no see?

MAN! I've been so busy lately and I also had a little holiday at north, visited my parents with my boyfriend. Mostly what I had was a fun week of wood crafting. I did a collaboration of Tinyfairy size (well, MSD in general) table and chairs with my father.

I did design (and my dad corrected my mistakes, being a professional xD), finishing sanding, drilling, nailed with wood taps and nails, glued.. A LOT of glueing around... and tried to help my father in all ways with our project. Propably I was mostly in the way. He did the big cuts with big machines and I was so afraid to try to use them, even if he said he would teach me if I wanted to. x_x All the furniture are made from birch board without knots in it. The material is very good, I'm glad my father didn't mind us working with them. He has that birch board a plenty, or that's what he said. :P Birch is good material for tiny furniture, since it is sturdy and without knots it doesn't break that easily.

My boyfriend made the furniture he made mostly by himself but being a guy he had already worked with wood working machinery before and unlike me, he wasn't afraid to use them either. I think my father was happy to work with the materials with us, he usually works by himself so maybe some company was nice to have for a change. ^^ Even if we slowed down his own work which he did when I didn't need help.

Birch boards which we worked with are propably a bit too thick, but these are what he had ready, so we used them instead of adjusting the thickness that much. Our collaboration is just a prototypes... For this years LDoll, I'll bring them with me and we'll see if people would like to buy the set of table and two chairs. We prepared three sets, and even if this is just a prototype series kind of thing, I'm quite proud what we made! ^-^ I need to paint them with some varnish or so. And before that I have to do some more sanding, careful sanding.

LDoll 3 - Sewing, a lots of it too

LDoll is international BJD convention held 6-7 of October 2012 at Double Mixte center, Lyon - France. There will hopefully be even more BJD hobbyists this year than last. ^^ I'm going there to sell my items and I'm already having great plans about them. My friends are also coming so please come and check out our stuff! :D



A little teaser about what I'm sewing this year. Yeah, it is jeans and denim stuff again. I began sewing this weekend. I'll sew some blouses and dresses and skirts and stuff. And I'm going to make another trip to Tallinn with friends next month to get more supplies.

Yay, finally getting my sewing inspiration back. ^^ I'm very happy about that.
