A Doll A Week 2024 / Week 10 Leo and Jay

Last week I had double trouble with my boys Bluefairy Tinyfairy Gus and Fairyland Minifee Yder elf. Leo and Jay. They arrived few days apart back at 2014. It seems like I didn't double check when making the calendar but it wasn't a disaster (timewise) now that I had a chance to play with them both days in weekend. I only took few photos from Leo and in process photos from Jay. I'm still happy I did something with them as I've been so tired lately. This is work related, stress, I just haven't gotten good nights sleep in long time. Enought about my work, today was the day I got it all sorted out and now I can do something else. Like tell you about my boys! 

I love how fuzzy Leo is! I ordered just a head before Bluefairy discontinued him. His body was bought second hand, he has Classic Gentle body. I've always thought the Gentle body is just a bit less practical than the other classic Tinyfairy bodies. He does pose allright, but the knees.. are perhaps the weakest point. Maybe this was the reason I sewed him tight rock'n roll pants earlier on. He is cute! And fuzzy! Striped shirt is new, and socks even tough you can't see them. I can't remember where his wig is from but his eyes are Enchanted doll eyes and face up is made by my old Bluefairy friend. Shoes are from Leekeworld group order which made me loath their policies when not tell to the customer that the items which were purchased were trash ready items. Gladly my friend Uninu repaired them the best way they could to save at least something which was salvageable. My group order host did their best but what I hate is that I paid for new items and got broken shoes (4 pairs!!!), bases and side rubbers were peeling off like... who sends that to customer overseas?? It would have been better to tell the host that sorry, the items aren't available. I had to pay my portion of custom fee which isn't a small amount of euros either. I would totally have been fine with not available items but I hate that they don't have guts to tell a customer the truth. I'm never ordering from Leeke again.

My Pureneemo Family

Family and family, well, the gang, how ever you want to call it. One morning before evening shift this past week was sunny and nice and fun and I took the girls out from the crafting room to the sunny side of the house. I only had time for some photos, and I forgot to have more photos from little groups and a groupshot from them all. I did have one for Instagram but it's not the same! I also had Sahra's a la Mode Meow x Meow Sahra arrival but I didn't manage to photograph her properly either as she arrived last week when I had three hours longer day at work so I was quite tired after having to go all the way to the post office too. My closest Post office isn't anywhere in my work route, so it's always tedious to go there by train and then take a bus home. I usually go by just one bus to work and home, (except home from the evening shift) - so going to the post office means I need to adjust my thinking for it before going there. It just takes a bit more time. I had been following the parcel from the tracking for whole day and to my surprise they did try to deliver it second time around midday when I was just having lunch. To my surprise they called me if I was home and if I wanted the code for the parcel. :P I answered that I had been tracking it for the whole day and I do have the code to pick it up from the Post. Many times I've been at home waiting for the evening shift and luckily have had many packages delivered home. Sahra almost arrived to my birthday - only few days late - so I'm happy. All her items were really pretty and I'm glad she's home safe and sound.

New Dolls

So, I said in the previous post that I'd be posting about new dolls? YES! I bought a doll from LDoll 4, he was there back at the Think Pink booth. I knew they are an official dealer for Bluefairy but what I didn't expect was that they had a limited doll with them! The second I saw him - BANG - I knew I lost it. I went completely bonkers, I had thought I'd buy Cafe Bluefairy Kevin from Pupa*Casa but I couldn't resist him then and there. I had to think about buying him, and yes, someone said "I knew you're coming back to get him", and was right.


Here is new Áron, he used to be the At Your Service Jerome, but since I sold the Jerome, I planned to get him as new Áron. ^^ I think they look so adorable together with Emma. Usually I'm quite picky about the size of their faces, but I really don't mind him having a little bit smaller face. Reminds me of the round girl faces I've seen in some Manga, while the boy faces are usually more narrow.


I need to begin sewing some trousers and jeans for Gentle body. AND also hotglue and do some tricks for his legs. MAN they're sloppy legs of doom! While my other Tinyfairies are very solid in standing on their own, Gentle body legs are something that needs re-stringing and possibly wiring too.

I also bought a lovely light grey cardigan from Fairy Style booth, got a little trade with lovely Summomo (fabulous little shoesies!!!), three wigs from JPopdolls and three pairs of eyes from Enchanted Doll eyes. ^^ I'll certainly try get better photographs from the stuff I bought. Fleur already has her eyes even if she doens't have her own body or face up yet. :D

Also, I came home at night on 8th (tuesday) and went to my parent's home on 9th, midday, which ment I really didn't have time to do much things with anything. I got the flu while I was at my parent's home and thus I slept well and followed the cat. ^^ I was highly amused by Iines again.



Also, when I was there at the north, I thought that I'd check out my order from Fairyland and... it was shipped. Wow, so many nice things happening at once. I now have two full Minifees, from which the normal skin body is shared by many heads. I have Irma (Siean Elf Valentine event head, back from her spa trip at Jesmo's, fabulous fabulous!!!), Lulu (Soo), Fleur (Juri 08) and the childish featured Juri 13. My new Dark Elf Soo girl in tan is fantastic. I'm really happy I got her. I'm sure I'll have more elf eared pretties in the future but DES has always been one of the "classics".


Also, PukiPuki Ante, which I bought to fill my order came to stay... I already gave her to Jesmo for face up and I'm sure she'll be fantastic. Her name is Butterfly, but her friends call her Bug. I think she's from Armi's pal..


DES' name is Mariette, Juri 13 doesn't have a name yet and definitely she should be in the Moe line body with very small boobs. I think it would suit her young looking face really nicely. I think .. she might be related to Irma. xD I already planned her wig and face up a little... We'll see, I might have to make an order to SweetNeat to get another wig. ^^ Anyway... so far so good.

I also participated to Pupa*Casa white Choice Tinyfairy event and ordered Robin with no make up and Gentle body... Exiting times ahead! :D I try not to think about him at all, becouse I know it will take at least 70 businessdays or even longer. I don't mind waiting. ^^ I have plenty to play with and a lot to do with the shop!

Tired

I've been so tired for few weeks. Last week I was visiting my parents at Kainuu and it was lovely. I had a doll with me, even tough I didn't do much with her. ^^ Emma is so pretty. Having a holiday and do nothing was difficult. I'm so used to have something to sew or do.. And being still and do nothing was so hard. I read few romantic novels and a pile of magazines my mother had. I'll try to have the sewing going on again, I have a lots of things to do and less time to do it.


I love Xiao's, and especially this smiling older one.


We had a bonfire thing going on, I hadn't been at my parent's home in Midsummer's eve for years. So it was quite special.

Anyway.. I sold my AYS Jerome, I'll ship him out on monday after work. He's going to have a home from here in Finland and he is going to be somebody's first resin BJD. I think any Bluefairy is fantastic as a first doll. They certainly have charmed me even if I have other brand dolls too. I'm thinking to want to have Cafe Bluefairy Kevin as Áron, he has similar facial features to Kyle/Jerome/Louis so he would fit to be this character. Pupa*Casa has one... so hopefully I'll be able to get the money and buy him. I wouldn't like to put him on layaway so need to wait until I have the full price saved. Gus might be a good choice too, but I'd want to have a white one with Gentle body... We'll see what happens.

I'm definitely trying to keep my line in "one of each mold of Tinyfairy". I know that's going to be hard, but at least that's the case with boys. I'm not giving up with my Lin's or Xiao's. And would love to have a baked version of both... They're the weak point. I've got double Olive and May Valentine but both baked girls now have fantastic custom face ups so they'll stay. ^^ I need to glue eyelashes for Elle, she'll look absolutely the diva she is supposed to be. ^^ I'll try to photograph her during the weekend.

LDoll 2012 - More Information

Do I need to say more! This is fantastic! xD

Actually few months ago, I had a dream about LDOll and that BF really was there and I couldn't just speak a word of English! I tried to tell them which dolls I have and how much I am their biggest fan! xD It didn't work out at all! MAN! Something I've been hoping since the first LDoll event was at Lyon. European event, fantastic! ^__^

Neck Mod Tutorial Thing

I had Tinyfairies without neck mods and I got frustrated for changing their clothes. Taking Tinyfairy heads off is really tedious when you have to pull all strings trough and remove S-hook and lower the strings and remove head and ARGH. I decided to do the mod myself, I didn't want to bother my dear neighbour for the job this time. I wanted to try! We have powertools, but I'm not comfortable with Dremel so I decided to use basic small files my boyfriend had. I made a little tutorial for it, if people wish to try. If I can do it, you can!

Forgot to mention, use a face mask for your own safety so you don't breath the resin dust and if you're really afraid of it, take a little cup of water and dip the file in it every now and then. Water prevents the dust to fly around. Especially if you don't have a face up in your doll there's no harm done for using some water with this mod. ^^


MAN. I had five heads to wait for modding, far left is one that was modded by Jesmoth. ^^


The tools of trade, basic diamond surface files from Biltema hardware store, quite cheap set, 3-4€. Wash them before use if you've used them before beginning to work with resin, they do get "filled" with resin dust quite fast.


Draw the shape of the dents you wish to have.


Take a good grip from the head, I hold it from the top, behind the ear. First use a sharp edge file to make the first dents to the edge of the neckhole. Push gently for the first dents, next file will keep a better place when you have a starting point.


Deepen the dents with a flat file, you don't need to push hard, keep a light touch so it won't get too deep too fast.


Use the round file to even the width of the dents.


Looks good, remember to check both sides when you're working.


Try the S-hook while working, then you know how much you have to work for the dents until s-hook goes trough. It didn't fit so a little bit more work to be done.


It fits trough! Yay, good job. ^^


I don't want to damage the edges of the head, so I usually put in Luts neckpart for Delf. You can get the neckparts in two sizes from Coolcat. Smaller apparently would also be good for Tinyfairy heads. I tape the headcap on with masking tape or you can use a small rubberband to keep the headcap in place. ^^ Thank you for watching!

Sewing ~ Valentine's Day Meet

We had a doll meet last Sunday and I sew these outfits for Kaisla and Lukas. I should take few better photoes from them. ^^ I've been a bit tired lately and I'm so glad I've the rest of this week off from work, to gather my strenght and maybe sew a little bit more. I think Kaisla's dress need to have some little buttons and I should buy some more tiny black buttons for both of their shirts. ^^ I'm quite satisfied about how their clothes turned out.

Happy New Year + White Winter

I'm loving this photo of Sylvia. She got the black wig I ordered from SweetNeat (seems like I don't know how to make proper links here... :P) and it is perfect! ^^ I braided it like the dark auburn one too and curled some front locks to soften the look. She looks absolutely adorable!

White Winter - new limited series from Bluefairy, they're all adorable! ^^ I really like them a lot tough I am a teeny weeny bit desappointed there weren't boys at all. I like Rachel, she's cute and has a very big potential about moving here in some point. I wish I could buy her but as I still don't know how long will my job continue I'm not gonna buy her. Yet anyway. I like the clothes, dress and coat are wonderful. Coat style is quite basic with big hem and I've been thinking to make something like that myself. I have a great pattern already but I think I need to make the hem bigger so there'll fit some fabulous dresses underneath!

I'm saving for a new camera, I bought a lense for it already (even if I don't have the camera yet). I think it'll take me 2-3 months to save and after that I guess I might buy a doll... Never know how these things go. Not much to say otherwise. Need to take more photos! And play with dolls. ^^

Ldoll - how it was and what was left?

LDoll was fabulous, I had sewn for quite much clothes and I got a third or so sold at there. I'm soonishly putting up a thread in DoA about something that will fit Tinyfairy and maybe one pair of jeans that'll fit Shinies. I think I spent more money than I received, but that's just normal I guess. Travelling costs, hotels cost and food costs... I've mostly eaten pizza meals so I'm really glad my boyfriend had bought some fruits at home.

I did have a thought about buying a Bluefairy doll, if Think Pink would have any BF's with them. And.. Did they? Yes they did! They had two Tinyfairies, Jerome and Jasmine and I ended up with a mold which I didn't yet have, so Jasmine moved in. This is Cordelia, her sister will be called Anastasia. They kinda reflect how me and my sister were when we're young teens, we were everywhere together and I think we were good friends. I do miss her so much sometimes, my höpönassu ^^. :3 Anyway, Anastasia's mold will be Emilie when she'll someday come home. Cordelia also stole some wig and eyes from a doll I put for sale in DoA, take a look at her if you're interested in FL Juri 08. ;3 Have to advertise a little, she's a cutie, I hope she'll get a good home.

Here's Cordelia, without face up. She'll go to face up artist soonishly, there's no hurry tough. ^^ I have to think about her face up anyway, about what kind of things I want for her. I think darker face up would be nice.

Sarang, Sleeping P_Sarang and Hana

I got Sarang and Hana home last week. ;w; I'm so grateful for my darling little friend Aiy who made this happen. And they're not even fully paid yet! But we save in shipping cost since she lives in Manchester, she says. Sarang is actually Walking with November Sarang 2008 and originally had a boy body. My Sarang (man how much I love to say that!) has a modded Blossom body which needs a bit cleaning. ^^ Teehee, I think the coating has yellowed a little but otherwise I don't see much of a difference in colourwise. Hana is from the white series Bon Voyage and she has the default wig on. I would've had the eyes too (from a different doll tough) but.. the promo pics had those eyes horrendously bad position I can't watch them on her. xD Instead she got these fairly pretty Hand Glass Crafts in 14mm. ^^ I might want to try on her some bigger ones but I think these give the kinda look I like.


Audrey, Kiki and Tia. They need some clothes to match their personalities.


Audrey's eyes and wig will be changed. I'd love her to have dark brown eyes and I've already ordered a custom wig for her, mohair thing. These green Kanis Augen's aren't bad looking either. ^^ I did comb the wig (which was made by fabulous Onegreyelephant).

Nikolas and Kiki. They're so cute! And they have pointier noses than Tinyfairies. ^^ I find that funny and so cute!
