Dollmeet at Oodi Library

Yesterday we had a dollmeet on the central library Oodi, it is great place with different sized spaces for free use. YOu'll just have to reserve the space in their system (max 3 hours per person). And then just go there! It was quite nice space, apart from one of it's wall was aquarium type and people could see what we do there. Most people just look a little and then continue but there was a woman who was actually photographing our doll table trough the window even if one of us was staring at her like wtf are you doing woman?! Tsuki said they have meeting rooms without any big windows like that and next time we'll try to get one of those. Anyway, this meet space was booked before Valentine's day, I thought it would be good to be Valentine's meet but usually the dollmeets are on weekends becouse most of the people have weekends off. It was quite a surprise how far the meeting rooms were booked. So if we want to have for example a Little Christmas dollmeet we should be thinking about booking the space early. I'll think about that, depends most likely how many people wants to attend... Anyway! On with the show! There were 12 of us and many BJD, Azone dolls and Vinyl dolls, and even some exotic creatures. All are welcome to our dollmeets. :) It is interesting to see what sort of dolls, figures and creatures people collect.

Dollmeet at Kirjasto 10

We had a dollmeet at our local library in the center of Helsinki city a week ago. It was great to meet new and old friends too since the longest time. I don't know what my camera was up to, but all the photos came out really grainy. I thought I'd paid attention for it but damn, the grainyness of the photos is so much I can't even upload them to Flickr. Also the main light that was in the meeting room was over the table we used for dolls and there wasn't any natural light coming in the room at all. Anyway! Here we go. July Dollmeet at Tsuki's place

This dollmeet was invited by Tsuki and there were Safir, Sarqq, Tiinyan, Fyrd8th and me. Thanks for inviting me, it was great to see you all. It was quite a windy day, and we had the meeting outside with wonderfully sunny weather, for some reason my hands seems to catch cold really fast and they were really cold when I left. ^^; I had baked a Queenberrypie, I do enjoy baking quite a lot and I'm glad everyone seemed to enjoy the pie as much as the other servings. Especially fantastic idea from Tsuki was to have those plastic cups with the tops that you can push a straw trough, genious I say! No bugs in the mugs! Also the juice she had made had elderflower and strawberry, very nice combo especially when the frozen berries kept the drinks cold. Enough of the food stuff, lets see the photos. I wish I'd pay more attention to the angle of the photos as well as few other things... Oh well, better next time.

Little Christmas Meet 10/12/2016

I invited some friends over to our buildings club room to have a little Christmas Doll Meet with all kinds of dolls! I had reserved the space for about a month in advance so I would have time to prepare for it and think about many things that has to do with the arrangements. There were Spica, Tiinyan, Lunaticz, Immarre, Peippo and me. I only took few photos but admired all of the lovely dolls. ^__^

Dollmeet at Kaisaniemi Botanical garden

I sewed new skirt and a blouse for Penni, and I think she looks cute, the hem of the T-shirt could've been a bit more loose but I couldn't help it after sewing. I find that A-line skirt fits her little legs very well! I had also baked a cake, actually two cakes from one big recipe becouse my BF's friends were coming to play boardgames - aaand they didn't. I knew we couldn't eat both cakes so I asked my friends if they'd sacrifice themselves and have some, thus we had an Irish Dream cake with Baileys in it. Only tiny piece was wasted becouse it was so warm weather I didn't want anyone get sick eating it. Anywayyyy... to the photos.

BJD Anniversary - 10 years in the hobby

Wow, I'm so sorry I couldn't post this earlier, but I've been having flu and off from work and really tried to rest and take it easy since tuesday. Even if I was having a flu I still wanted to have the 10 year anniversary meeting I had invited people in, I felt a little better besides of course I sounded horrible and didn't look very good either. I'm so glad people wanted to come for a visit. ^w^ They brought in Azone dolls among resin BJD's and I finally got to see Kinokojuice Kiki in person too! It was all so wonderful, I hadn't seen some of my friends for a long time and it was great to see them. Thanks for all who participated, I'm sure I'll call in a doll meet later too in that space, just we all need to have wool socks on (many, if possible!) and a spare cardigan too. :) Our theme was funny paper hats, and I made several so if someone didn't have any they could take one from those I made. Making the hats was fun too. I didn't even remember having so much materials around.

Aegis, Angelregion Ami owned by Fair Children is one of the oldest dolls too, and as bubble headed as my crew there was. :D
