Happy Valentine's Day

Here in Finland we mostly celebrate friends in Valentine's day, as we call it "Ystävänpäivä" = "Friend's Day". I took few photos yesterday which I thought would make a good pair with a chosen text. It took me a while to find some aphorisms to fit in them. It is nice to do something special for friends and family, and of course for your partner too. ^__^ I'm baking some "mokkapala" (moccapieces?) for my boyfriend (I think we're too old for the boyfriend, should I call him my man or my spouse or SO?) and for some friends who are coming to our place to play some boardgames today.






The second one I find something that we finns cherish quite much, a bit too much sometimes. We don't think it is weird to sit in a bus without saying anything to anyone, besides a "hello" to the driver when we enter in the bus. Usually we find a free seat beside the window and hope nobody sits beside you. Even better, if you can go all the way to your destination without speaking to anyone and without any stranger sitting besides you. If a friend comes in the bus too then it's great to have a bit of a conversation! :D Also, I find that if you have a certain bus and time to hop in there daily, for example when going to work, it can be that you'll get aquaintances which you can small talk just a little. ^__^
