From LDoll and a little bit else

I got the confirmation of my shop few nights ago and I'm finally able to run in full speed. I will be adding some more stuff on weekend, thank you for interest and sorry I couldn't fill the shop with left overs straight away, there are reasons for that but I'm happy all is fine now. ^^ It is exiting, I need to do some work still for the shop and find out about the shipping methods etc...

About LDoll, it went smoothly, it was fabulous to be there with my sister. We had good time and I'm sure that showed to the people who were there visiting my booth. ^__^

Here's few photos from the event, I actually didn't have much time to spend outside the booth, I didn't want to leave my sister there alone and actually didn't want to part from her for long.. Missed her so much.

LDoll 2013 Floorplan

My booth is numero 42 LOVELY! ^^ Come and say hello! :D I'll be there with my sister who's coming to help me with the booth. Wonderful! I don't know which I'm waiting for more, to see my sister or LDoll. I say it is quite equal (maybe missing my sister a tad bit more than about the festival - but don't tell LDoll ;)).

Two Weeks

And after that I'll have a mini holiday with dolls and friends! :D Wheeeee! I'm so happy to have some fun ahead. I know I've mostly just whined about things, but I really am waiting for the holiday. After LDoll I'll be going to visit my parents at north, so I'll propably not be able to post any photos anytime soon after the event.

I'm also waiting to be able to concentrate on my own dolls. They do need some time for updating their things. Also, the poor things need new clothes too. *sigh* I make a promise to photograph my own dolls for fun more than I did earlier. I see my folders with not too many nice photos of my own dolls. That'll have to change.



I find that Elle is finding her own look pretty much. I need to work with the others like I've done with her. ^^

Still much to do with LDoll, need to finish the pieces that are WIP and photograph THIS weekend. Stress! But also eagerly waiting for the event. :D So many talented artists around and having my sister there with me will be fun.

Morning frustrations...

What I should be doing is sewing! But since I'm going to evening shift, I wont. I know, I know. It sounds really stupid but working evening shifts makes me so anxious since if you begin sewing, you're certainly going to look et the watch all the time and thinking what you have time to do and what you don't. Also, needing to prepare lunch and something to eat for work also takes the time.. Not to mention the buss for work.. Moaaaannnnn I suffer from these evening shifts...

Anyway, LDoll Festival has revealed the exhibitors list for non proffessional exhibitors! ^^ Wonderful to see my nick there! Oooo so exiting! I also gave them a link to my Flickr but was a bit disappointed that they didn't link my page there, so I made a new Set - Preview for LDoll 2013 and linked that to them again. Hopefully they'll add it up to the page! There seemed to be other exhibitors Flickrs added there, so I'm hoping mine will too. I'm going to switch the name of my "brand" after LDoll, so stay tuned, I will add the left overs for Etsy and hopefully something will sell there too. ^^

Here are few things I've sewed, I'm really trying to hurry up and photograph most of the things for LDoll so I have some photos to display also. People like to know how clothes will look on a doll and I think that having photos already will help in it.

SD size Post Boy hats, don't have as big variety of fabrics as the MSD ones, I don't know if I'll have time to sew more of them. These in the photo have been finished, they have the fabric covered button sewed on top.

MSD size Post Boy hats, these have even more colours since I sew some more from the same fabrics as the SD ones were. Like black leather, tough I think it is a bit odd size since I didn't remember to measure the headband when sewing. Oops.

Some shirts sewed from wrinkly cotton. I kinda like how this turned out. The fabric is falling apart easily when sewing but looks really nice!

Anyway, just a little taste about what's coming... I'll be photographing and adding more photos. I do wonder how on earth I'm going to finish everything I have in midn. XP

Very Busy Times

It's only two months away! LDoll I mean. Time flies and some wonderful doll news has become true. ^^ I've adored Dark Elf Soo as a mold for a long time, I once had a Minifee which was head only and I had to sell her in need of finances. I really liked her so... I had the chance to order DES in light tan from Fairyland. I'm so happy! I wanted to have this doll so long and in TAN!!! ^^ I also ordered my first PukiPuki, which I'm a little bit afraid of, since it is tiny. Smaller than Pocket Fairy even, and that's really tiny. I wanted to have enough bought so that I'd be able to get the event head and it seems to be nice. ^^ More like a child-teen than than older teen. I don't mind, I'm just happy I'll have a gift!

At the morning after this I had an offer I couldn't refuse. I got my finances sorted out and got Juri 08 head. I'm yet to be thankfull for my friend who helped me out with this. I couldn't be happier. I almost cried when it turned out that I could really have this head. She'll be shipped out soonishly, and I'm thinking that she'll not be Fleur, like the previous one was, she'll be Brightbow Moonsparkle which was supposed to be the Nanuri Feeple60 Chloe elf head. Too bad I'm still not comfortable with white dolls, tough I do have several in other brands. I'm aiming on geting Bo and new Juri 13 some bodies later this year, or maybe in the beginning of next one. I haven't yet decided on the Juri 13, about what she'll be.. I guess if there's going to be any possiblities of getting a Moe body.. She'd look really nice. AND I'm sure I'd switch away the huge bust piece. ^^; More like Irma quality in that size.

It is always a risk to participate as a private exhibitor with a booth... I mean... sewing bunch of clothes, some in small quantities (I usually sew 1-3 of one color/model), I don't know which kind of clothes people will like! I sew what seems nice for myself, but that is always not meeting with the expectations of others. It is exiting, and nervwreking also at the same time. I do hope I will have.. well like last year, about third of my stock sold. The rest I'll be adding to Etsy. ^^ I've already began making a little shop in there. I think I need to take few photographs for it and make a little banner of my own. Exiting...

Dirk's new head is on it's way home. I'm hoping it will be arriving tomorrow morning OR I can get it from our local post office. I don't remember if I mentioned that I ruined his first head, what a bummer. I'm so careless... Not going to do any face ups at all. :P Don't want to ruin any more heads...

Exiting and busy times ahead. I've told my friends that I can't see them on weekends (mostly) and I'll be sewing most of free time when I have strengths to do that. LDoll is coming soon and I'm exited! ^^

Preparing for LDoll

At the moment I'm preparing to the event with a lots of thinking, becouse that's something I can do on holiday. I'm currently at my parent's home and I'm not used to do "nothing". The hardest part in holidays is just that, when you're supposed to do nothing and just relax. I enjoy crafting and this is so hard to just "be". I've mostly watched TV, photographed very little and spend time with my relatives, which has been fun actually. I hadn't seen the newest member of the family, a little baby girl. :) I have a wonderful big family and we are quite close even tough we don't see each other that often.

A moment ago, I ordered three meters of fireproof fabric and I can't wait to see how it is. We had a piece of fabric together with Jesmoth but since we have our own tables this time, I decided to get some new fabric. I hope it will be easy fabric and I don't have to iron it at the venue. Becouse that's just not possible. I'm also making plans for the table itself, I have plenty of things to do. I'm propably taking Irma with me, along with a Bluefairy or two. I think it would be good to bring two or three dolls, remembering last year I think three is pretty much the maximum amount to bring to the show at the table. Especially if I have a chance to buy a doll from LDoll. It would be difficult to add more in the hand luggage. I definitely need a bigger suitcase, last time it was so tight fitting all things into the old one AND I could've had 10 kilos more stuff than I actually had. I want to have some props again, but need to think that trough for sure.

I'm exited, I know I've sewn a lots of things but even more will have to be sewn. There are things left over from last year, and I need to renew the sets so that they will be more attractive. ^^ I'm learning to do some embroidery so that will be exiting.

A lots of things to do! :D And I have so little time left!

You Must Be Bored...

For my posting of LDoll 2013. I'm sorry, but that's how things are. I'm sewing stuff and hoping there'll be more stuff than last year. I'm also dreaming to get a new sewing machine, since my old is.. really old and I keep on drooling on some newer models there are. I'm not expecting to buy a really expensive sewing machine, but I think I need to buy something that will hold on with A LOT of sewing I do. I'd like it to have a good button hole stitch, maybe with two or three different button hole models and some decorative stitches too. Maybe some other good features too... Like the ... umm stitch plate thing would be made of see trough plastic so you can see the bobbin, of how much thread is left...

Anyway, I've been pondering about the Etsy shop thing too, and I think I've decided the name for it. I might be able to open earlier than October since I've been really pushing myself for sewing more and working hard for it too. ^^ I know it goes on slowly, but I have many projects going on and I still dream of having the give away thing in my blog. I don't know yet what to give! >w< MSD size things are the easiest for me, since I sew them a lot.
I, even if it might be selfish to say, am very fond of these skirts. They are so very cute!


I have trouble finding thin natural white cotton which I'd really need. Our nearest store didn't have any, and I'd truly need few meters of it. I need it for these cream coloured skirts (well not much of it) but there are other projects to come too... I just can't see myself to line the cream tulle with the whiter material I have. Maybe I'm silly like that..


Tobias is so cute with this hat I sew. I'm sewing some for LDoll and truly it fits for different kind of outfits really nicely. ^^ I hope people at LDoll will like these as much as I do.

Otherwise I think I'm quite happy about the dolls I have, they need a change of clothes... SOON. So I think I need to take a look at things that I have and decide with that what each will wear. Dressing ... x amount of dolls with something they haven't yet had on is difficult. Especially since even if I've been sewing, my own dolls don't have new stuff that much. Shoemaker's children go barefoot... I guess. ;) I try to have a style for each doll and still think that I'm not fulfilling the styles completely. Someday I'll have more time for sewing for my own dolls too. I'm glad I usually sew FS the kind of things that my own dolls would also wear. Ah, time flies, I'm so happy I have a day off today. ^^

Neglecting this blog

Seems like I've done that a lot lately. Oops. ^^; I've done quite much things, sew a bunch of the tulle skirts.


As you can see. Someone said they look like poofy clouds at summer evening and that's something I really liked a lot. ^^

I've now sewn three of each color to LDoll AND I'm prepairing a small amount to sell at finnish forum since I'm really in need of cash, there's only going to be one of that powder pink tulle, becouse there's not enough fabric for more. I'd really need to go and get some more of it and other supplies too. (Powder pink was also reserved already, before sewing is finished. Sorry, IRC channel is something that sells fast, at least here). I can't sew more of the cream color ones before I can get more of natural white cotton. SO much things to buy and no money... xP Sorry about whining about that. I did think if I should sell a doll or two.. but I know in this situation I'd only regret doing that and nothing sells in Finland at the moment anyway. I've only eyed the dolls that are FS at HL and there's even few that I'd love to get. LOL. Situation normal?

I'm afraid of Bluefairy's next release, I wonder what will they release, since Turbow said they will release another baked edition of boy and girl Tinyfairy after Lunar Fairy June. MAN. I wish there'd be a boy I don't yet have.. not just yet. I have absolutely no money at all. Otherwise I wish there won't be Lin or Xiao, becouse I'd love to get BOTH in baked skin.


The vests/waistcoats I've sewn for LDoll. These will fit for most MSD size boys I think, I can't be sure but Minifee aren't that much smaller than Tiny Fairy boys so I think they'll do as well as Unoa. I'm sewing those lacy jackets for MSD girls too, I need more material for the finishing (the cotton lace) and then I'd need to sew some clothes for Dollshe... ;) he finally arrived after five months of waiting. I think the time went fast and I only messaged Dollshe Craft once after we moved to our new home, about my new address. The oriental skintone is really nice, I like it a lot.


My darling Tobias was there to welcome the new guy home. SA Hound will be called Dirk. I'm still a bit iffy about the name, if it will stuck with this guy. Dirk the dork. (Sorry, I had to). I might give him another name after I've tried to get used to this one.


What do you think? I've planned to maybe face up him myself... aaagh. I hate making face ups but in this financial slump I'm at the moment, I think I need to settle down and do it. I'm afraid he will not be very pretty, but at least I've then tried. ^^; I have few other heads too, which to try out my "skills". Anyway, I will try when I have time. I first need to get all the sewing out of the way. Back to the tulle then.

Tulle skirts

Tulle is interesting material. I love the current colour tulle's I have. Sewing skirts is fun. I've sewn this design of skirts many times before and I still can't get over how cute it looks.


There's some lining with thin cotton under the top part and some lace on the bottom. I really like the lace part, it already finished and I don't remember at all where I bought it. I do have other kinds of laces so I think I'll just sew on some other kinds of cute laces. ^^ I'm going to name these skirts with very sweet names. Hehe. You'll see later. ^^


Detail, just a lonely flower. ^^; I usually don't decorate my sewing that much, but I learn to do it. It makes garments look a lot more finished pieces when they have some things like that.

LDoll 4 - October 5. - 6. 2013

SO it begins, the sewing! I promise I'll try to make an Etsy shop sometime during this year, maybe summer, or at least after LDoll at October. I'll have tons of things to sew and even less time to do it. Work's been draining me, evening shifts, what a joke really. I don't get anything done in those days, I wish I'll be able to change that. I had planned to open an Etsy shop earlier, but due the moving and all that jazz I haven't had the strength to do anything basicly.

Anyway, I'm surprised and happy about having so many followers and as I promised to make a little give away, please be patient and wait. I need to sew first so I'll be able have something to "give". It might take time, but it's coming. ^^



A little photo about what will be given out. I just want to have something to choose from so I need to sew more! ^^ And this time I definitely will have either a photobook or a tablet or SOMETHING where the people at LDoll can view the clothes on dolls. I might need to to buy a new sewing machine, I'm having a huge craving for one since my current is not wanting to operate perfectly with the thin materials. :P Anyway, this is weekend of sewing! Gotta go!
